agree, great beat to this one and think you picked up on what the song is addressing.
tyler wrote this song after meeting fans at their concerts who talked to him about their struggles with self harm and suicide and seeing how widespread of an issue it was. In the album commentary he said ''I know you have the ability to hurt yourself, I recognize that, but let’s take that energy and let’s point it at something else, let’s divert that, let’s kind of shift momentum and look at something like art, or something like this music specifically or even point it at me, just point it anywhere. But don’t point it at yourself''

Well done picking up the meaning so quick, not many do. The is one of my all time favourites of theirs, and it was probably years before I learnt the real meaning of the lyrics.
Considering Vessel seems to have officially been tied to the lore because it's the only pre-Blurryface album marked with the red tape, and the name itself is "Vessel", which is what a person is when the Bishops have seized them......Red, blue, and black. The red of the Bishops. The blue of the neon grave stones. The black that would cover Tyler's hands and neck....It makes one wonder if the logo was foreshadowing things to come.

I was twice at their live shows, and the third time was cancelled due covid.
If you haven't seen it - there are some great 'Captured in The Live Room' performances, as well as some 'Live at Fox Theater' live performances (Goner, Holding on To You, Tear In My Heart).
