Any reason you knock the arrow on the right side of the bow? Is the arrow rest there? The straight bows we shot always had the arrow rest on the left side. That way when you are moving or hunting with an arrow on the rest your left forefinger can easily keep your arrow in place. You were using 2 fingers to hold the arrow in place until you drew back. Just different.
@JW007100 Thanks for asking- That's an excellent question! This is an eastern method of shooting utilizing the thumb to draw the string. The arrows in eastern archery are placed on the right side. Some pros to this method: less emphasis on arrow tuning due to less arrow deflection, faster loading from a right hip quiver, and easier to keep pressure on the arrow while on horseback
@howlinhobbit I wish I had a second phone and camera. I've started doing more of showing the target with a time lapse to speed things up in later videos. Maybe one day, I'll make a new video with this bow and show the groups.
@ I didn’t mean fancy editing to show the actual strikes. just when you emptied your quiver swing (and zoom?) the camera to show how tight your groupings were.
@bowdeer5074 I find that it's a cleaner release, but I mostly shoot asiatic trad with thumb draw. I also shoot western with 3 fingers. Wanted to try eastern method with western bow.
waiting for the gun sound... oh video's over? hmm... loud? yes gun? absolutely not, even considering mics and sounds compression etc,no gun even suppressed sounds like that. besides... call me crazy... I kinda don't want my bow to be loud af,i like archery to be quiet... kinda a big draw to it.
@bloodlove93 Thanks for watching through! different strokes for different folks. I didn't get the bow for its report, just a fun and cool coincident. Check out my suppressed shooting reels!
@VNNZTC ua-cam.com/users/shortszlvDGczcKGs?si=Agrlg5fj006RRISh Strange, so have I. Thanks for watching! I have also worked audio in the gun industry. Without the right audio equipment, gun shots, especially the crack of bullets, are normalized to roughly that crack heard here due to the constraints on the mic.
I built it with performance in mind glad you like it
She flings arrows at my longer draw!
Do you sell these bows if so how much Will it be to purchase the same exact one
@hichristopherwashburn5973 I don't make them, but buck does. His ebay is in the description. He will also make any kind of bow you want!
Performs indeed! and it is also beautiful.
Cool looking bow.
The bow does not sound like a gun shot. It does have a distinct "Let me FFFF them up" sound.
@@SmokeGrinder 😂😂😂
Let’s see the arrow group.😊
Huge recuve bow❤
I’d say it sounds more like a “laser rifle” than a gun. Cool sound though. Nice bow, nice form 👍
Great bow man. I love the sound.
It sounds like a bow.
Nice looking bow deer & every thing else would probably run from just the sound alone.

Doesn't sound like a gun, but it is a nice sound. Nice video altogether, actually.
How did I land here?... Hmmm very interesting... Thank you .. Coming back for more
I heard you striking the target but I sure wish you’d have shown the grouping of the arrows.

Interesting shooting style. Dont see alot of people shoot with the arrow rest on the right side of the bow except for left handed bows.

You'll find lots of them if they do Asiatic style archery using thumb draw.
beautiful bow!
@@veximmortalis8622 thank you! He built a great bow
If you want a truely smooth bow build it out of well seasoned yew wood. The finest bow wood in the world. Cool Osage bow!
You think yew is better than osage?
That's wiiiild! Are you concerned about it breaking drawing back that long? I've never seen a wood bow be drawn back that far.
@JamesFraser-i8i It can go at anytime, but I shoot my bows and I'd rather push the limit to see how well it was built. This thing is beast.
Bow length, draw wt, and arrow wt?
@gabrielmusk8071 70" overall length, 45#@28", 50#@30", arrow: 33" bamboo arrows with 125 gr head, 540 gr total.
Bow is as tall as he is!
Norml. I have a berar recurve bow that is taller than me and I'm 6'1"
Man, that is one big bow!
Have you watched lars Anderson
@@IvenGideon-wc2sw I have

Hi
I have been around guns all my life and never heard one sound like that. I have however heard plenty of bows that sound like that. CLICKBAIT!!!
