Now this is the Sleeping with Sirens I grew up with. So glad they went back to their old style.

Is it though? I'm sorry, but I've been really trying to like this new stuff because everyone's out here like, "Yeah, SWS finally back to their old sound," but like, I don't hear it. Yeah, it's heavier, but it lacks literally a single ounce of the creativity their older stuff contained, and lyrically, it's miles behind even Madness. These last two singles just sound like they ripped a few tracks from the old Warped Tour bands and released them after we've left the Warped era.
Devon Odgers Couldn’t agree more. I still love that they’re back to being post-hardcore, but instrumentally and lyrically it lacks. When they first started they were creative and structurally complex. BUT we’re only 2 songs in, so that could change. I still love these two new singles though, I’m glad the boys are back.
David Castro SWS were never structurally complex. They started as a pretty straight forward post hardcore act, went pop, and now are seemingly back to a somewhat post hardcore sound (have to listen to the whole album to see if it all has this sound to it.) But complex is something they never were

I feel like the newer SWS songs (starting with Trouble from Gossip) are slight disses towards Warner Bros Records.
That’s what I’m thinking. It would make sense. They ditched that sound immediately after they left that shit label.
Honestly, I’m guessing Gossip may be best thing the band could’ve done imo. It wasn’t a good album, but they reached for more popularity from a big label and then went back to the music they loved the most. They made a song for Team USA and got more radio play, there’s no way that Gossip didn’t give them more fans.
Trouble is about signing to WBR. Leave It All Behind (kinda) is about leaving it. This song is just a diss to WBR. This is all guessing tho.

Brandon Fairse well, majority of screaming from their debut and Let's Cheers were recorded by Brandon and Jesse who are no longer in the band. Both dudes have insane screaming but people only see Kellin because he's been doin the shit live that it strained his voice. I bet he will scream more on this one.

It's always a rare and beautiful/ happy moment when OG bands from the early 2000's are still going strong with the rock in 2019.
When so many have fallen, this really shows who still has what it takes and cares for their fans. I mean every album has been good so far, softer or not because I'm more about the meaning but heavier sws is great too and always a bonus
