Honestly if they give us a Map Editor with the existing models it could carry this game for the next few years, and its just free content for the community
One of the most hype moments I remember from early owl was I think Soon emoting planting a horde flag on a corpse after getting a kill. That was probably the last emote I would have paid money for.

Couldn't agree more with so many of the points made tho. Another thing I'd love to see in terms of cosmetics and whatnot is the ability to have different spray/emote loadouts for each hero skin.
How about skins that can be applied to all heroes? If they’re costing $20 you should be able to apply it to more than one hero. I haven’t bought any cosmetics but I just might if I knew I could place it on more than one hero.
Doomer approach, as great as all these suggestions are I highly highly doubt they will become reality. OW2 is hopelessly stagnant and will not grow.
Yeah this cope shilling has been going on for almost four years straight. 5v5 being shilled as "healthy for the game" broke me and I haven't played the game since OW2 beta. The entire image of the game being ruined for season passes and saving the OWL teams a team slot is indescribable for how gentrified OW2 is.
Dooming is unfortunately sometimes the realistic and logical response. If you’re on a plane and it starts going down, I doubt the logical response would be sweet, now we can land sooner.

@@osuosu117 For everything wrong with OW2 5v5 is the furthest thing from an issue lmao. It's too bad you don't like it, but the game is legitimately more fun as a result, and you're in the minority on that. Everything else you said, sure, whatever. But 5v5 has made the gameplay so much better.
@@samhhhhh brainspan limited - removing a player from either team was the scapegoat in the name of failed balancing on behalf of Team4. 6vs6 is entirely better, executed poorly. 5vs5 is now executing poorly.
All hope lost.... I quit last week after playing 7 years and 2k hrs. OW2 is just a broken CASH Grab..............

Yeah it’s crazy. Going to 5v5 doesn’t justify a sequel, that’s as much of a change as role queue was. A few new characters doesn’t justify it when we already were getting new characters. So what’s the difference between OW1 and OW2? Push mode and a new shop. I don’t see any way that anyone could look at this objectively and come to the conclusion that this is anything other than a cash grab.

It's hilarious that they base their entire monetisation strategy on cosmetics, yet the only cosmetic customisation that exists is choosing if you want a shiny gun or not
With all due respect to AVRL, I’m glad he wasn’t on the show today. I respect his desire to “find a middle ground”, I just don’t see that as a logical response at the moment. It’s not a coincidence that everyone was disagreeing with him last episode, and I don’t think most people want to hear the copium right now.
I can't believe the first topic you decide to bring up is how they can make more skins to sell to players because it's "money at the end of the day." No mention of the egregious price gouging that's happening, as if it's not a fundamental problem of the game. Really disappointing to see.
I mean they are shills lol - they get paid to literally promote the game. They can't exactly badmouth it as the OWL management is connected to OW.
Well in reality the game doesn't make shit right now and blizzard won't put whatever little money they have into the game if they dont get shit back

If it's not easy and entirely directly monetizable, blizzard does not care
If I'm being optimistic and say they DO end up implementing a few or a bunch of these systems in order to increase engagement, enjoyment, etc, I still can't see it happening without some attempt to shoehorn yet more monetization into it
They’re not giving us much reason to be optimistic. They’re obviously trying to copy the Fortnite model of free to play and sell a bunch of cosmetics, and put out just enough content to keep most people coming back.

Look up what jobs each of these 4 guys have and how many years they've been involved with Overwatch.

#1 Overwatch needs right now: A new publisher and a new development team.
#2 Stop the copium. Steam speaks for itself. No amount of animations, skins or whatever is going to rescue the game.
The truth is: Most people don't like the gameplay in the first place and right now it gets even worse with "MOBA style gameplay", which made 45 million ppl quit the game in 2018.
What overwatch 2 needs is a second tank on each team
