Omg. I’ve been mind-mapping since I was a child. Before I’d go to bed, I’d close my eyes and imagine myself walking down a long hallway. If I opened the doors on the right, I’d have nightmares. If I opened the doors on the left, I’d have peaceful, vivid dreams. I know it’s not *exactly* the same thing, but when you started talking about it my jaw dropped and my heart skipped a beat.

Re: the issue you brought up about content creators unintentionally making similar content at the same time- have you ever read the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert? She talks about that exact phenomenon except in regards to authors. She poses her own personal theory that creative ideas are their own entity and they could “choose” to come to the mind of multiple people. She says those ideas want to be released into the world, so if they inspire one person, and that person ignores the call or procrastinates too long, then they will skip onto the next person. It was a little woowoo but still an interesting concept imo.
Since I didn't begin this journey until near my 60th birthday, I feel a certain pressure to learn quickly🤗 There's so much to take in!! So much of what I've learned so far has come from you. I feel sincere gratitude for that, please know 🙏. I have been sticking to protection and blessings spells and have felt prompted to begin some new things... your video is good timing for me. I feel the same way as you. I began my journey at 41 and I felt very much disadvantaged and pressured to learn quickly. Know that spirit will lead you at the pace you need to go, and trust. There is a lot of wisdom we have earned in our years living to discern what advice is good to listen to and what is not. That is one advantage of age.
In my personal practice or journey....I see every practice as beginning and end but always transforming through one's transmutation or evolution. But we are all star dust at the end of the day and nothing more and nothing less. ❤ but always keep sacred all aspects of this plain and beyond.

Scrying in old cultures seems to be also with food and drink, like - obviously, people do coffee a lot - my Georgian friend would never let me just have coffee peacefully without doing the needed moves in the end and then prying/scrying) and then their men complain they can scry on anything, including soup)) I need to reassess and resume the practice I guess, it is also kinda fun 🎉
That’s really cool. Reminds me of a time I went to a dinner gathering and one couple had brought the lady’s mom. She read garbanzo beans! And palms. But the garbanzo beans were a first for me and still makes me laugh. I will say she was scary accurate 😊
Now that you mention it, that's true. I kinda like that several creators might sometimes put out similar videos around the same time. It tends to happen when I have a conundrum that could be influenced by the topic being discussed. So it actually works really well. Hopefully more creators follow their intuition often. I went back to school as an adult (while working full time too) and totally did rituals and spells. I made necklaces from specific crystals for focus, knowledge retention, etc. They totally worked. I also did the yoga tree pose (in a secluded place lol) to clear my mind. Before tests, I would repeat "I have retained all the answers. They're inside me for me to simply retrieve." I also had a premonition dream of a test. I was writing in my test blue book, and I'm like "holy sh💩, I dreamed this! And I looked at my clothes and everything, and yes! It was in my dream! I was told that the reason why I was not nervous for that test, and aced it, was because I already took it! In my dream!
Most of what you describe seems like growing up, developing emotional maturity. I can say this with clarity because i have an outsider's perspective. I am a beginner witch with very little experience, but I'm middle aged and my life experience led me to the majority of your advanced talking points as the "natural" choice for embarking on my own practice. So true about divination Ivy! I attended a course where we did wind reading - North, East, West and South represented different things. Where we cleansed ourselves and our energy with the wind and then read in the four different directions for another who was attending. It really helped with intuitive interpretation and to listen to the natural signs around us. :)

Wow, all of this video is fantastic. However what really spoke to me was the final segment. That was beautiful, and i think this is what this path should be about at the end of the day (in my opinion). I personally dont call myself a witch anymore and not sure if i would call myself an occultist. Been having a spiritual identity crisis lately. However, there are some practices i might consider looking into such as mind mapping, energy work, meditation, cleansing & protection. I don't feel called to spellwork these days, I would rather work on my energy, mindset and being present. I still will connect to God/Source, my Ancestors, Guides, Angels and any Animal spirits that want to connect to me
Could you explain a little more about the pendulums and ways to get yes or no answers? I have several pendulums and was working confidently with them until someone else told me they tend to be bias and self directed by our energy and my confidence about it went down the drain. 😢 now I'm trying to attune a magick 8 ball and finding other ways to get the answers but now I'm confused and not asking to any tool in fear of getting wrong answers.
So there are two main perspectives on how pendulums work: some people believe the pendulum is guided by spirit, others believe the pendulum is guided by your subconscious mind through the micro movements of your hand. Both perspectives are valid. Even if you believe the pendulum is guided by your subconscious mind, that doesn't mean it is less valuable. And if you were to invoke a spirit into your being, who's to say it's your subconscious mind and not the spirit? I say do what feels good to you intuitively. If working with pendulums was bringing you results, then I would disregard that other perspective. However, if you are worried about it being too guided by your subconscious mind then I would switch to tarot, runes, oracles, etc. You can still ask a yes or no question with tarot cards. More "positive" cards indicate a yes and more "negative" cards indicate a no.
The house cleansing all the time thing is hilarious to me. We were not doing this in the 90s. Haha, like, who are you that the bad spirits keep wanting to hang out with you? I promise, they have better things to do than hang out in your house lol. Haha, seth is too busy trying to overthrow his brother than come netfix and chill with you. I find just keeping your house clean, and maybe opening up some windows and doors does a lot to make the house feel better. Then, if you can find a nice wax melt you like the smell of, it's the cherry on top.
It's funny how time can *really* help you read between the lines on these things. Of course, we also didn't accept the idea that anything you "intend" is a magical act & back then, black salt actually had *salt* in it! The good ole days...

I have been practicing for 7 years and still feel like a beginner sometimes, but there’s hundreds of beginner videos or magick 101 videos and they say basically the same things. It’s nice to see more advanced witchy content from some of my favorite creators!
