I bought the large Maestra as a work bag/carry-on travel bag, and I think this is what this size is made for. I put a small purse inside so that when I get to work, I can carry my purse around with me and leave the bag there. I'm 5'6", not that tall, and it looks quite appropriate as a shoulder bag on me. I disagree that the bag itself is heavy, however, it does hold a LOT, so it may be the natural inclination to make it heavy by stuffing it full. I do agree that the opening and closure is a bit of work (much more than a tote bag). This makes it good for travel and for bringing to client offices (extra security and privacy), but I probably wouldn't buy it as an everyday purse, even in a mini size. So far, I've had no glazing issues and no issues with dirt even though I have the light blue and I take it on planes. One thing I find is the bag has a big footprint, so you have to be mindful in tight places to keep watch for the bag.

Thank you for your review. I’ve been eyeing this bag for a while to use as a work bag. Unfortunately the cons are a major issue for me. It’s hard to shell out that much money if its not as sturdy as I thought it to be.

Hi Aika, Thank you for the review. I have been contemplating purchasing this bag for work and it would seem a little incompatible for zipping across the city daily, as you do. I currently travel with a small trolley/roller for my larger items and use small crossbody for those moments when you need to quickly access your purse and your other essentials. But I'm still looking for my ideal work bag. Thank you for sharing. 😊

Thank you for your honest review. I was planning on buying this bag instead of an LV until I saw your review. I think it’s so cute but you’re absolutely right. For the price, I would be livid if it started to peel. And on top of it, if I had to pay more to have it fixed, I would had wished I never purchased it. I will not be purchasing this bag.
Thanks for the review! I have been using my Maestra bag for a week now. It is a little bit big for my frame, I’m 160cm. However since it holds my 14 inches in the laptop sleeve, I think it’s a perfect work bag for me. It is indeed hard to get in and out of the bag quickly. It’s also not so easy to put things inside since it’s so sturdy, although if you organize nicely it holds a lot of stuff.
It is not very comfortable to wear it as a backpack or crossbody because the strips are so thin. But it’s for now acceptable to me. I wear it as backpack with my laptop and lunchbox in it to work everyday, 35min one way, on my bike. It’s not very comfortable but acceptable. The cute look compensates this shortcoming.
I’m still a bit worrying about the straps and glazing. I hope the straps can hold up as long as possible. I’m also not living in the US. I think if anything happens to my straps, I’ll ask Senreve to send me a new strap, hopefully

Thank you for your review. I was looking at the cream colored bag since it's such a nice color. I have the medium sized in black pebble leather and I've had it for 6 months. I also have significant wear in the glazing on the strap also in the same area as yours. Also the tab which holds the flap closed has a lot of wrinkling by the second hole which is where the metal bit holds the bag closed. Finally the tab where the metal bit has separated. I don't even carry the bag every day too! I think Senreve has quality control issues which they shouldn't for a $800 bag. This was my second bag because the first one they sent me, the metal bit came off.
No way! This is crazy! Yeah, you have to babysit the bag to keep it in good condition, but do you really want to babysit a work bag? Don't think so..

Senreve bags are great looking bags for sure but their problem is price point. That bag shouldn’t be more than 4OO at the most! What makes these bags better than Henri Bendel bags. They need to have 40 percent off sales several times a year and they need to improve quality control. For 900... you can add a couple hundred dollars more and buy a Louis
The last con ‘zipping and unzipping’ the bag to remove something when you urgently need it, is annoying TBH. It may sound like not a big deal but over time you will get annoyed that’s why I prefer bags which has side and mini pockets outside the main compartment for nick nacks like sanitizers, tissue, keys, gum, some loose change etc.
I agree 100% my bag is wonderful just beautiful and big...but, getting in the bag while at the airport is tough. It’s heavy and cumbersome. But, at the end of the day I do love this bag...I love carrying it. I think I should have gone with the medium too!

I bought the Midi. I think it is actually the perfect size. I got it in the Mimosa Storm color and have been in love with it since I received it. I can see where the large size would be very heavy and I was scared of getting a lighter color for the reasons you gave. If you decide to send it back, I would highly recommend the Midi!!
omg you made such a good choice! the midi bag is so much better! i will consider it, but for now it still works for me, i'll wait and see more of tear and wear, if it gets too bad, i will try to exchange it to a midi one

What's the shirt your wearing? I need to wear a sleeve like yours for comfort. Total bummer that the bag has more negatives in general. Yeah, sounds like it would make for a 'light' travel bag for weekend trips, not for everyday.

Good review! I bought this bag and found that it didn’t really work for me. Perhaps I carry too much but it didn’t hold up like my Tumi book bag and so I got rid of it.

Thanks for the honest review! So hard to find an honest one on this bag because most ppl making reviews got it for free. No matter what, a free bag will bring bias or at least omission. I really want the midi one, but am on the fence.

A lot of ppl mentioned it tilting forward when it’s full. Do you have that issue too?

I was hoping to know when you’re slinging it on with the shoulder strap or carrying it like backpack, do the straps cut into your shoulders or do they get uncomfortable after a while? Asking this because the straps look thin and I tend to carry my laptop around with me all day long.
Nicole Tan I’m not sure about the straps because it’s still winter and I wear the straps over my thick jackets🤭 but I’m curious to know now🤔

Thank you for this review. I would not get this bag anymore, because it's so much work to get in and out. I simply don't like the hassle. A bag should be a plus in my daily life, not a hindrance.

Do you think the Midi will fit 13” MacBook? And i am only 5’1” or 2 (around 1m55-57) so I don’t think large size will look good on me too. Anyway this is so helpful review. Thank you so much!
yeah, I think it will! and for sure it's better to take a midi size, otherwise it will look too big on you

Hi Aika! Love the way you speak so calming! Anyway, I just bought the MIDI size yesterday in lavender. I was planning to buy the maestra large size at first but after watching your video, you are right large size will be too bulky and big for my frame. My bags are all LV and since I was accepted to a PA school it’s a gift from my husband plus I want to use something at school that doesn’t scream LV, if you know what I mean. I think I’ll try this size first because I want something when we travel and school and weekends. Then once I graduate in 2024 I’ll buy the large size for work.

My midi arrived last week and my regular maestra arrived yesterday. I ordered bought because I can’t decided without seeing them in person. I like the midi because I can definitely wear it in 4 ways, the size is similar to my speedy 30 on what I can fit. The maestra however is good in size for sure but looks big on me and it only looks good on a backpack with my size. My husband also agree that midi is the one to keep because it’s a perfect size for me. I’m happy with this bag so far. Quality is amazing and the color too! I got the lavender.

It is a gorgeous bag, but your review made me change my mind. I also don't like the handle. Maybe in the future they will release a better version with some improvements. Till then I will keep searching for a better work bag😊.

I wish more laptops would fit the midi :(
I almost bought it because some reviewers either lied or stretched their leather and said a 13” would fit in the center o_o Some also lied about what could safely fit into the mini. I got my mini thinking I could fit some specific things to take on vacation and when I tried to put them in the center it stretched the leather and would have damaged the bag.
I’m 5’2” and just ordered the large bag. The color I wanted was slightly cheaper in the larger size for the sale, and I also wanted it for my laptop when I want to go work outside/in a shop if the pandemic is ever over lol.
But I am concerned about the size. I’m short and 95lbs.
I have the mini in the mimosa leather and it’s perfect for regular outings except the back pocket. I have a similar complaint about the Aria. The pockets are the slightest bit too small for me.
I wish the outer pockets were big enough for a phone. I have the smallest phone on the market and can’t fit it in properly. I can’t fit my card holder either, so idk what it’s for? Seems silly to have a little pocket there for just receipts. I guess you could slip a credit or ID card in but it’d be more convenient for a phone.
I usually just let my phone pop out the top, which seems what everyone else does, but it doesn’t feel very secure. If everyone uses it for that anyway I wish they’d make it bigger 😂
I just find them very impractical 😅

This is one of the most useful Senreve reviews. I love how Senreve bags convert but can’t afford it so I found a dupe for the Senreve mini for under $50. I love it but it is a bit small so I am waiting for my Senreve midi dupe to arrive.

I found it at Macy’s and Belk. I made a two videos about it. You can see the unboxing and what fits in it
Btw I own 6 Senreve bags and I am very lazy with my bags. I have no issues whatsoever with any of my bags. don't go by this reviewer only. watch others as well. I'm sorry she might have just got a lemon. if happens. I recently bought a brand ne 3 thousand dollar bag from Louis Vuitton and when I received it the screws came out of the side!!!! for that amount of money that is disgraceful! I decided to go with Senreve instead. So it happens even with major designers

What would you recommend as a gym-to-work bag that can hold a laptop and gym clothes and looks as nice as this one does?
Rachel V it depends on your budget. You can definitely take a look at some of the longchamps bags if you are looking for a budget friendly bag. Or Givenchy Antigona (it has a similar shape), LV Neverfull in size GM is also a nice option)
I would say H&M id more budget friendly bag. I wouldnt say longchamp cus imo, thats not cheap either and i would feel bad if i put it on gym locker which is small, and after that bring it to work which is a bag that you'll wear almost everyday. So you dont have to intensive taking care of the bag if it broke, i would say it less hurt. You should totally check Marhen J brand, its really functional bag but not expensive! ^^ Sorry for bad english

Yes, this is a lovely beautiful and well made bag. However in practicality, it's cumbersome and a pain to use. I took it with me to an art festival and got so frustrated with the bag!
1. I couldnt get in and out of the bag quickly
2. The backpack feature was a pain to use. The straps gets twisted and cut into my arms which got painful. It would have been nice if the hardware holding the straps can turn 360 degrees so straps wouldn't get twisted up and can move freely.
Oh well.

It's a cool bag, but I don't think it would be practical for me. If it's heavy and cumbersome to open and close then I will never use it. =3

It sounds like a lot of the cons are user error. It’s a beautiful bag.
I don’t carry bigger bags because I fill them up and they’re too heavy. Live and learn. I ordered the mini today. IMO the bigger bag is a tote/work bag not a purse.

I wish you returned the bag. I think it’s beautiful but its definitely too big for everyday use as a purse. Senreve has a lifetime warranty - not sure if you mentioned this or not. The wear after a couple months use that you experienced is concerning. Thank you for your helpful review.
Nubby Rose I wanted to return it, but the return policy is 30 days only. And for the lifetime warranty - they can only exchange the strap and I have to pay for shipping myself, which is quite expensive in Switzerland. Anyway, I will learn my lesson and appreciate what I have ❤️

I'll be honest with you guys , when she mentioned that she had a problem with the glazing I wasn't to surprised. Louis Vuitton has the same problem.
True, my LV often pops up a spot of glazing here and there in the first month own, and I just wipe it off with clothe then the glazing disappeared. Since I believe LV will replace the bag for me if complaining in the future, I just leave it as it is for now
