I know you don't need me to tell you this but what an excellent performer you are. I'm Venezuelan and proud that the music of my country is known in the world. Maestro!
Your sound is beautiful Rob - and the spirit of Lauro comes across clearly in your interpretation of La Negra - thank you for everything you have put into this !
This piece comes to me at the right time, 3 yers ago, exactly, after your post. I dont know how but you touched my soul at time, by your special string touch... I began dancing a valse minutes ago, and for a long time now..untill knowing playing it may be. Thanks a lot
Brother I am Venezuelan and indeed this piece they are in the habit of touching it rapidly or very rapidly but indeed I accept that you touched it to a time somehow very slowly but indeed it never sounded very nicely he it had listened to this form congratulations you have good sound and interpretation regards of Venezuela
Maestro!!! First, you look exactly like one of my uncles... Hahaha... But the most important thing is, you print your own feelings and style without taking the soul of that vals. I know what I'm talking about, Antonio Lauro was my first guitar teacher in Venezuela in the late 70's up to his dead. Hat off to your interpetation!!!
Thanks for playing these guitar songs..... I´m from Venezuela i study classic guitar i would like to know if you have the score of a classic piece named FOLIAS and send it to me please
The biggest problem with your guitar playing, mister McKillop, is that it turns all the nails players in awkward noise makers. Looks like I'll never get tired of your music....
In that case, film yourself playing it, post it on to You Tube - and then expect somebody somewhere, to find some fault with it. And I can guarantee you will.

Bellissima, grazie!

Love it, uncle. Good show.
Woooow so beautiful
Beautiful work man. I'm thinking Lauro is my favorite of the guitar composers. So much intricacies and emotions with every passing second.
la diferencia entre la fría técnica y el sentimiento que transmite el artista. ¡hermoso!
+Job Hernández Thank you, Job!

Yuu can get it from Universal Edition UE29172 "Triptico" edited by John W. Duarte, containing three pieces: 1.Armida, 2.Madrugada and 3.La Negra.
@HarveyButterfield
Thank you.
Well done Rob, A.Lauro one of my favorite composers. I wished my left hand wood be as large as yours that makes some stuff easier to play I guess;(
Beautiful !
Great playing Rob. Very fluid and dynamic...it seems to ebb and flow well (I know what I mean, anyway!). Lauro was great.
Cheers, Jim
Aquila Gut and Silk 900. Glad you like it.

Thank you, Cesar.
Rob MacKillop you’re welcome!

Muy bueno.
He's using a ZOOM H2 portable. They're cool, but i'd recommend the newer edition. (same thing but a little more expensive and in black)
Bravo Rob ! ;-)

I may catch a bit heat for this comment. I would love to hear you play this on one of your archtops through an amp.
No heat required. It's not such a bad idea, and maybe one day I'll do it. I can't promise anything, but it's definitely a possibility.
Thank you! I'm looking forward to it if you decide to do it.
@@RobMacKillop1 I would enjoy hearing this too :) Thank you for the video, you made me discover this piece and I really like your interpretation.
What mic do you use? Great guitar playing, by the way!
It seems a zoom h2
this is cavatina the deer hunter my man......la negra is a whole different work
OMG, someone on the internet is trying to be witty! My whole life is in ruins!

Hi Rob, can you give me your email so i can write you? i want to ask you something about this song your are playing
Claudia Pérez-Velázquez Claudia, you can reach me through my website, rmClassicalGuitar - sorry for the late reply.
The biggest problem with your guitar playing, mister McKillop, is that it turns all the nails players in awkward noise makers.

Nice tone and interpretation, though I personally prefer a more rythmic rendition of Venezuelan Valses.
In that case, film yourself playing it, post it on to You Tube - and then expect somebody somewhere, to find some fault with it. And I can guarantee you will.
