In Step 4 when I tried to attach the tray mount bracket, I found I needed to loosen one of the tines because the one of the holes is too close to be able to tighten the tray mounting bracket. I had to leave tines loose until the lock washer and nut were tight and then had to tighten that one set of tines. Those tray mounting bracket holes needs to be moved just enough so the tines don't need to be readjusted. seems kind of silly that this wasn't thought of during development of the product. I will say there was a note in the written instructions saying something about the time sharing the hole with the bracket. That note made no sense. I didn't see this happening on this video

Same on mine. I ended up cutting the tray mount bracket bolt flush to the nut after tightening it in order to prevent the tine coil from rubbing on the bolt. Also agree that the note made no sense.

How do you transport it when you dont want the tines engaged? I have a driveway to cross and sometimes would need to reverse. Would backing up damage the tines?

Hello - Brinly's DT-48BH will need to be removed from the tractor before crossing a driveway. If you are interested in on DT-402BH. The DT-402BH model has 3 operating modes: Dethatch, Scarify & Transport.
Putting your tractor in reverse with the dethatcher on will not damage the tines, but they will not work as they are intended. When reversing, carefully back-up straight to avoid jackknifing. Do not allow towing vehicle wheels to contact attachment.
