you don't have to pretend to be happy if you're not, don't worry!! and being with a lot of strangers can be stressful
When you show the less fun side of your life, you become very relatable to me. Not only to me, but to many of your viewers I think. Wanting other people to talk to you first and becoming anxious in new/big groups is very normal. Becoming overwhelmed by such stressful situations is normal too. Maybe you are a little bit introvert (like many of us). But there's nothing wrong with that. I think it was very brave of you to go abroad for a year. I think it has given you a lot of life lessons and experiences you will never forget, but they probably don't seem that important now. But I can assure you, you will not regret it. I hope you'll take some time to relax and settle into the new school year. Just take as much time as you need.
you don't have to pretend that you're happy. it's okay to cry sometimes. trust me, i used to deal with the same thoughts. and being with a lot of strangers can be stressful especially when you are the only new person. things will get better :)

Stay strong girl! I was an exchange student in the US too and now I‘m back in Germany and the beginning was so hard for me. You‘ll find friends and do great, you’re so sweet and nice I doubt that anybody could not like you. Keep going! 💛

i will return to high school in germany too after one year in the U.S., and I am kinda nervous for my first day of school. i‘ve set myself some goals though to make school a pleasant experience and want to be as confident as I was this summer. and i‘m sure you will feel better soon, too!

I'm really bad at talking to new people as well... like when someone is alone and I'm too it's okay but I could never go up to a group and be like "hey what's up"

@@carina1937 ich meine, dass man bis zur 10. feste Klassen hat und erst ab der Oberstufe Kurse und erst ab dann immer mit anderen Leuten ist und in den USA haben die ja ab der Highschool glaub ich Kurse also keine festen Klassen, mit den selben Leuten :)

Oh my God, I can so relate to you in this video. I overthink things as well and in the end all I manage to do is get even more stressed. I also need other people to start a conversation, otherwise I feel like I burden them?! If that makes sense...
i am thankful u posted that, i graduated 4 years ago but i still remember when i changed school when i was 15 and i was so scared! i am glad that u show that youtube isnt all shiny and perfect and that u have bad days as well and that ur scared, just makes u a human!

Don't worry, really. It's really normal to be not that confident. I'm always scared to talk to other people, it's just the fear people will think I'm weird because I talk to them and they aren't even my friends (yet?) And that they will talk about me behind my back cause I'm weird... So that sucks. I mean I wish I could be more confident, but I'm just really insecure and I can't do anything about it. I've searched for so many quotes on Pinterest, I've thought about it so many times, it's really frustrating, but somehow no one can say the magical words that will make me feel better. But my point is; it's normal to don't feel comfortable on school all the time❤️

I’m so so glad you uploaded this video, I always always cry on the first day of school and no matter how much I prepare I’ve kind of accepted now that that’s how I am it meant so much to know that other people have the same kind of not rules but for example the thing about having someone talk to you first because otherwise I feel like I’m ruining there day by butting myself into their conversations I love you so so much and thank you for being so honest!! Sorry that was very weird

Emma don't feel bad about your first day. My fist day at high-school was the worst. Literally THE WORST!!! Because I didn't know anyone and I felt alone but the worst happened in the end of the day, when I thought that everything was done. Sooo when I went to take my bike and return back home, l fell of my bike and everyone started laughing. Seriously, I felt terrible and took my bike as fast as I could to return home. I am sharing this not because I want to show it and be read by people BUT to tell you that you aren't the only person who had a bad first day 😉 . P.S. Who didn't like your outfit?! It's great and totally emma.

I am going through my junior year of high school and I still get anxious every single day of school I had
I’m starting uni on the 2nd and I have never been this scared. Especially because my fellow students don’t speak the same language. I have to skip the introduction week as well due to some issues and I’m so scared I won’t have any friends oh my days.
