9:21 To grant quarter mean to show mercy. I took this part to mean that the ferryman would 'kindly' allow Otto to cross over to Nowhere but, as you said, he'd have to pay a price.
Best possible timing ever. There is a storm RAGING right outside my window, and I just sat down with some hot chocolate to enjoy the sound of rain and distant thunder. What better time to enjoy a chill lore dump? *chef's kiss*
My grandmother is very scary. When I was a child, I remember visiting her creepy giant house filled with dusty antique furnishings with its disorienting layout full of so many rooms.... lots of them were set up like bedrooms despite her being the only one there, while others were set up like study rooms or empty with random furniture placed in unnerving ways. I remember the creepy, unnatural darkness in the house.... She would be in the living room by the fireplace in her rocker. She would always give me a creepy smile and stare intensely with glossy eyes from within the shadows. Sometimes, I would be wandering the house in a panic, searching for my parents, and turning around to see her staring me down with that creepy smile from behind me!
@Bee-vw2gl She's fine, She doesn't really do much aside from watching the news and staying at her home. She very rarely calls us and I haven't seen her in years since we moved states around six years ago.
@DAVETHEBREADWIZARD LOL, I probably could. I have so many strange and creepy memories of her house. I honestly get scared recalling them. Like when I was walking down her dimly lit long hallway to the left of the house with it's faded, peeling green fern patterned wallpaper. I was following her cat to the library room and was abruptly startled by a grandfather clock in the hallway. I was too creeped out and ran out of there back to the foyer, When I saw her on the foyer sofa with a glass of wine. She turned to look at me slowly and gave me her creepy smile as she said in a calm, and sterile manner: " Where are you going to in such a hurry, sweetheart?"
The origins of the Bullies and Monster Baby always interested me, as they seem to have been created differently from all the other Residents we’ve seen so far. I do have some guesses as to how they came to be. I have a feeling that the creation of the Bullies has something to do with the Lady, as she has several portraits of the Bullies and even of the Teacher (I feel like a lot of theories could be made about that one Residence portrait room, as it alludes to a lot of connections the Lady has across the Nowhere. I’ve thought about writing a document about this before). Maybe the Lady and Teacher had a deal where the Lady helps make the Bullies to appeal to the Teacher’s desire to have power over younger ones and be an intimidating figure. This could be a stretch, but I think Monster Baby could have been created the same way the Maw and Black Tower were created. The Maw and Black Tower just appeared one day, only being created from a desire. Monster Baby just appeared out of nowhere, although I can’t make any connection as to what desire would create her. The Black Tower holds a living creature inside and the Maw has constantly been referred to as a “character” and a living thing, rather than a location. Monster Baby is also a living creature, so she could possibly be on a similar level to those two. Also, all three of them are a combination of organic material and mechanical parts (If we were to belief that the Maw is actually alive). Maybe we’ll learn more when LN3 comes out. Anyways great video! I love the format of your theory videos! They don’t come across like “My theory is the definitive correct answer and you have to believe it!” and instead is presented as “Here are some theories based off of what I could find, let’s start a discussion!”. Keep up the good work!
Monster baby could be that- a monstrous baby form that the maw and signal tower might have possessed once upon an unknown time. The baby in LN3 is simply not old enough to metamorph into a more potent form yet...
The “collector” is actually a tosher, as explained by the episode’s writer ItsJustJord! It was a real occupation from the Victorian era where workers excavated lost items from the sewers.
I imagine the granny, thin man, geisha and butler have some form of abuse tied to them. The Butler could be a family friend that got a little too 'friendly' with a child. The Geisha may be an older sibling who is viewed as better than the younger and mistreats them. The Thin Man and Granny may be an abusive parent or grandparent, who are stuck in their ways.
The hands and mannequins were made by the broadcast, In a scene on the first pre alpha trailer for ln2, you can see one being animated by the tvs. Still don't quite understand how the monster baby was made but that's a good theory.
when a daddy maw and a mommy tower love each other very much... joking aside, it really does feel like the implication that these colossal entity-places are reproducing
Really good stuff, always enjoy your inciteful videos. Would you still qualify the Eyes as a type of native? For the North Wind and Ferryman i get but with the Eyes they were always peculiar to me cause they still technically are natives, they just dont seem as unique as the others, almost like a sub species of natives that dont have many variations and are all fundamentally the same even though they may operate slightly differently. Whereas other natives are each unique
Midnight, wide awake, nothing to do? This video changed that. I love how this fandom has been going strong with amazing theories for seven whole years now.
I absolutely love the larger symbolism this creates, it's turns the emotional "other world" that selfish acts create into a literal one. The more evil you put into the world, the larger and more powerful the "other" one becomes, engulfing even more innocent lives, raising new generations to feed it. So I guess, through the lens of this theory, Little Nightmares is a story about generational trauma and our responsibility to care for children properly, since we build their future world through how we treat them?
23:38 that was a pretty amazing theory you got there Really that was amazing theory crafting you got there And also, I believe that some residents are born in the nowhere as well. I’ll call them (the naturally born residence. )

Yaaaas
Same. Just minus the rain. A toast to cozy hot chocolate and LN weather!

so... How is you grandmother? Ever ask your parents about that?
You should right a book

Maybe you should stop making fun of your grandmother

Little nightmares is a super creepy experience, but the lore is super awesome
I figured she was called The Pretender because she was pretending to be a child. xD

Amazing work again! I’ve been thinking along similar lines, with the power hierarchy being determined through Eye “Investiture” and influence!
Good theory, and finally, you're back!

Only theorist that makes sense and that I watch.
The final question would then be: Where do the untormented & less sinful or good souls go to? Is there a more pleasant counterpart to Nowhere?
Like an LN equivalent of heaven?
@@StitchwraithStudios yeah i guess
@@Shythalia well that has yet to be revealed but maybe it’s like a world manifested of children’s good dreams rather than nightmares
@@StitchwraithStudios Probably, yeah. I'd love to see fan content about that. hehe
@@Shythalia yeah, I guess it’d be called “the somewhere” (unless you can think of a better name for it)
This was a good video brother. Thank you. Keep it up.
I watched many little nightmares videos, your videos are top-tier.
Could the lollipop kid be the doctor since after a checkup you get a lolly 🤔
I think "to be pushed" means taken unwillingly in this context
I dont have a snack with me to watch this but I can get my pringles
going with the theory that the resedents are based on things a child could fear, could the thin man be explained by a fear of the future/growing up?
"Pretty complicated topic without a clear answer"
Me: nah, they just Todash creatures. Easy peasy.
Where does the Giant Eye baby come in ?
It would fit in with the first theory, that the monsters are manifestations of childhood fears. Dolls are terrifying to children, just know that.

A very well thought out and presented video, keep up the good work young man
Awesome !
I want ln3 alreadyyyyy
Is there official art of the ringmaster ( the man in the purple coat)?
Not yet, at least not that I know of - closest thing we have is the silhouette in the tent (from the Friendship Trailer) which may or may not be him.
Purgatory in a ratchet nutshell.
23:38 that was a pretty amazing theory you got there
