This is a good cover, but i think the reason why a lot is complaining about it is bc we’re used to hearing this song in a more aggressive tone. The mv for this song seems to capture the rage greatly (i love the mv!), but the same couldn’t be said with how they sang it. They seem to be directed to sing in a more sad and somber tone, which is reasonable, but could throw some people off when they first watch the mv
Ikr! , I also think they sang by difference atmosphere on purpose and it work and fit with leo/need image. Just because it not look like what you expect doesn't mean it a bad cover 🥲.

I think the problem with project sekai covers in general is that they just don't let or instruct the vocalists to go hard enough for certain songs. I've had this thought about amanojaku and lost ones weeping. it's mostly a problem in rock songs, and therefore with leoni. I can't think of any off the top of my head but I know there have been some other groups' covers I was disappointed in as well. mostly I compare covers to bandori, since their arrangements are really good and the singers get to go really hard when the song calls for it, especially afterglow and roselia. in prsk a lot of the time it just sounds like they're holding back too much.

@@SamiR1114 Also especially since whenever the CVs Do try to push their vocal range and their limits, like Mafuyu and Rui's CVs, their attempts get cut out or edited while mixing. I remember specifically a very good growl Rui's CV tried to push in King however in the game version his growl was smoothed out you could barely tell it was a growl anymore. And don't get me started on Mafuyu cuz most of the lines they cut her from songs are where she tries her hardest to embody her character's pain, however it seems their directors prefer them sounding 'nice' or dare I say 'cute' rather than actually put their hearts into the songs they sing.

Imo regulus is the peak instrument heavy song she should be vocal in
Honami's line in the first verse kinda does her dirty, but i think she sounds amazing during the bridge! It may just be a matter of making sure her lines are placed where her voice matches the energy of the moment, which i think they did well in the bridge but not the verse. There are some things in this cover that i like and some things that I'm not a huge fan of, right now i think its good overall so hopefully the full version will add more to the positives than the negatives
I know her voice can be powerful and strong like ichika's, and it just kinda pisses me off when she sings the "aisaretai to kuchi wo koboshita" like that, so soft and gentle, knowing the range in her voice annoys me and i don't want to think that way

I dont know. Rin kinda sounds weak at the beginning but she's good at chorus and final part. [Remember: They have to tune down the pitch to take care the VAs throat aswell as Rin's tuning, so the tuning is different to original]
On the other side, Leo/need girls done well. I kinda wish they let Ichika goes as spotlight and sings higher in the final chorus, then have Rin as her backup vocal. The original tone is just way too high, i'm glad the VAs didnt force themselves.

Shiho desperately needed more lines, and while she's growing on me Saki felt kind of out of place. Unpopular opinion though, I actually wish Honami had more lines. It's the emotion she delivered
Mostly just fix the Rin tuning (it's bad) and give Shiho more lines including letting her back up Ichika and Rin in the chorus and it'll be a lot better, but I think it's decent enough. It's at least not a repeat of Lost One's Weeping which imo is only saved by the Shiho alt (and the VS alts, especially Len's)
I agree with this comment so much. Honami’s soft voice doesn’t really fit this song yes but she had few solo lines with a lot of good emotion. Like in most covers 0:37 is more aggressive but I really like Hona’s pained delivery
And yeah this cover is LEAGUES better than the Lost One’s Weeping Cover

@ma.2089 personally i dont think thats an issue with this specific cover ! l/n already lacks powerhouses, closest being ichika and shiho (though shiho doesnt get many lines here). so i think rin matches the vocals perfectly here

I don't know why Proseka fans get so tilted when people say they wanted x song to go for y unit.
People aren't allowed to feel disappointed anymore when a song they really liked and thought it fit the characters and units they liked more better but just doesn't go to them? You have to remember that once a song is in this game, it's over, the unit that got it will have it until the game ends and whatever character you wanted to hear singing it will now never do it, you will have to pray to god that the original VA makes a cover in their original channel or something.
And that is without mentioning the outsiders that aren't either Niigo or Leoni fans just putting their opinion, or even just Leoni fans themselves who thought maybe another unit was better to cover it.

This song doesn't match Saki and Honami voice, especially Honami soft tone on a heavy rock based one like this. Shiho is almost non existence. Rin's tuning got worse since her OG tuning is too much for human vocal

When the cover was announced, I see plenty of people already disappointed with stuff like "Saki and Honami won't do well" and "Should have gone to xxx" so I feel like people have already formed their opinions on the cover before even listening to it. I was scared to listen at first too because as a Leo/need fan, I want them to do well
And I was pretty surprised by the results, Colopale knew Honami and Saki range wouldn't suit most of the high notes so they made them sing the slower part instead and it worked for me. Ichika sounds heavenly with Rin, that's just my opinion so if u don't agree then to each their own I guess
