So thrilled that 1 of my fav horses & my pick won this Distaff ~ Forever Unbridled (1 of only 2 horses 2 ever beat another fav of mine ~ Songbird)!! I LUV this mare & her bloodline!! She's a great horse!! It has been a joy following her career & watching her race ~ she's a true STAR & a wonderful horse!!
I love Love LOVE this mare!!!! She was def the best horse of the day & on the track!!!! I knew & believed that she could easily & readily beat Stellar Wind, thou that was the poorest performance I've ever seen from SW.... I sincerely hope, if she's good, healthy & still able, that they bring her back as a 6 year old, especially w/Songbird having been retired (& rightfully so 4 her health & well being).... Forever Unbridled (super LUV her name) is beautiful, talented, extraordinary, sensational & a truly great horse!!!! She'll always be a Super Star & a real class act mare 2 me!!!! She's a Regal & Wonderful girl!!!!
Also so nice that my 2nd choice & pick 4 second place, Abel Tasman, got up there late, right behind my girl Forever Unbridled!! They both made a great race of it & I picked the top 2 finishers!!
This validates her victory over SONGBIRD showng she was the best today and a very good filly. All the frauds after the Personal Ensign saying the only reason why this horse won was because Songbird was hurt. Please. Enough. Sick of every little excuse. Beat them all today. Congrats to this very classy horse on a great victory! 😊
I agree with you John. Songbird may or may not have been at her best but it's irrelevant. People seem to forget last years Distaff when Forever Unbridled looked to have a legit chance at catching the top 2 and finished within a length of them. I will say I was extremely disappointed with Stellar Winds performance. Looked like she had no excuse as far as racing luck is concerned. Nonetheless, this was a talented field of fillies/mares overall.
I would like to add that in 2016 Forever Unbridled got hurt in the Distaff. This was something that was revealed by her team at a later date. And which is why she missed a lot of the 2017 season. Had she not been hurt in the 2016 Distaff, would she have won? That is something we will never know.
Really disappointed that Vale Dori didn't get the chance to line up in this year's BC Distaff. Whether she could've won the race or not, I don't know? But I feel like at her best she could've most definitely been very competitive, IMO.

She might race in 2018 Pegasus World Cup 1st.... Have 2 wait & c.... Forever Unbridled might also race at Gulfstream in Pegasus WC!!!!!

Heard Forever Unbridled will go to the Pegasus, I hope so. Would be great to see two Unbridled's Song horses winning two years in a row.
