THANK YOU for this vid. I got my license in January and got a 2012 VN900LT in amazing shape and since i grew up driving standard CARS, when I'd go on the highways it seemed to be revving SO high compared to a car. Without a tach, it's hard to tell if I was burning it up, or what! Yes I know Japanese bikes are made to run at a higher RPM, but it has always made me somewhat dubious going 80. Hearing the pitch of your engine on those roads and seeing that it is NOT near the "red" makes me feel a bit easier about it. I just couldn't get that feeling of "is this right? Am I going to blow this thing up?" as well as always checking to make sure I'm not in 4th on the highway! I was stuck in car mentality.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yep this thing is good to go up to about 80 or so. Its not like a sport bike that will rev to the moon...but it definitely revs higher than a car. It makes the best power between 3k and 5k... but it won't hurt it to cruise up at 5k+ on the freeway.
Just got my 09 out of the shop today at 5:00 after 3 days due to a flat tire. I've had it just over a year and I literally just got off of it. Did a little night riding.

@@MotorcycleTimeTV Thank you sir! I need a tachometer now because I just like to monitor all the goings on.
