Dummu - Keep You (feat. Sundial) is by far one of my favourite songs! It's glitchy in all the right ways and the creativity with the percussion, is amazing. Love the piano in the background and guitar at the sections after the song has calmed down! Dummu is Dope. Legendary. Amazing. Godly. Keep releasing bangers! Sundial is also amazing. This release almost brought me to tears, it's a beautiful song, and it has me reflecting on my own experiences. I love that about music. I may or may not be reading into the lyrics too much though, but it seems like it describes an abusive relationship. For example, the SO's "lips are stained with fiction" (they're a liar), they keep secrets, and make the girl feel like they're nothing to them. The line "you are my religion", if taken literally is a bit much, since that's more of obsession instead of love, and seeing your partner as something to be worshipped blinds you to their faults. Again, I could be reading into it, but in real life, if you are in a relationship where you don't feel valued, you can't trust your partner, and you can't seem to get away from them even if you want to at points ("I'll run but you are friction"), it may not be healthy for both of you, even if you have plenty of reasons to stay (that might be you rationalizing the behaviour). You can't expect love to fix another person: fairy tale love doesn't exist and it's important to look out for your wellbeing and find a partner who wants to do the same.
What I love about this song is that it can be interpreted in many different ways. You see it this way, but I saw it in a totally different way. I think the best bet here would be to leave it up to the listener’s interpretation :) But hey, I’m glad you shared some legit advice, 2nd. It’s nice to see someone legitimately caring about those here (I know that sounds weirdly sarcastic but I promise it’s not haha)

I was emotionally abused by my first boyfriend, but I stayed with him for 2 years thinking it would get better because I thought I loved him. Emotional abuse hurts more than anything physical to me, and that relationship was traumatic. If it doesn't get better, leave that person. You'll find someone better, I sure have.
This reminds me of my crush and how his character was so in conflict with mine. But yet he was the most modest, gentleman, and projected such a wonderful character that he ended up as my husband today. I played this song at my wedding 👌I will forever cherish this song to my ♥️
