His gate trainer needs to be raised. He has gotten taller and he is dragging a lot more. He will probably take off walking in no time if it's raised! Go Beckham!!!

He pushes himself into a completely vertical position over and over. You can see the whole seat raise. I don't think I've ever seen him do that in past videos. I completely agree he's ready for more height.

The fussing he does when he gets stuck in his gait trainer is so promising because he is communicating his needs.
I agree Beckham's fussing is his current way of communication right now and I believe it will change as he gets older.

Oh My God Rachel! Did you see him stand up! He stood up standing straight all by himself! I just am shook! I can't believe how great he's doing. He's so lucky to have a Mom like you that has worked with him so hard, he's doing amazing. I bet he will be walking before the end of this year. I'm so excited for him! He's so darn adorable, you just want to hug him and hug him! He was doing so great outside and you know he just loved being out there. Oh, what a wonderful video. This has made me so happy today! Beckham just looks so much happier. He also looks like his stamina is up too! 🎉🎉🎉 Yay!! I am so glad he doesn't have to be awake for shots anymore AND that he has this new med that seems to be letting him have remarkable freedom from pain. 💯💗🎉
GO BECKHAM GO! Way to ROCK in the Rifton Gait Trainer! Loved seeing him moving and grooving! Rachel so glad you are going to put him in gait trainer everyday. He seems to be much better and happier when when he is moving and he is moving on his own and upright. School has been AMAZING for him. I also loved Beckham's little words and verbalization as well as his fussing when he got stuck. Here are just a few suggestions that might help Beckham REALLY cruise in the gait trainer. 1. Take the gait trainer to his school and have the PT/OT adjust the height as well as the straps since he his growing like a weed! The chest prompt may also need to be adjusted so he isn't leaning so far forward. 2. Ask the PT/OT if shoe inserts or AFO's would help Beckham be able to get his feet more on the floor/ground and not be on his toes as much. It may help him push off easier now and it may also help him long-term as he grows because it may help him continue to stand/walk/help with his spasticity. 3. Another thought when Beckham is in a wide open area, but safe area in his gait trainer you might want to try locking the wheels so the gait trainer will go straight rather than having them swivel since he doesn't really have to push off anything. That might enable him to really cruise especially outside. He was SO very happy being in the gait trainer and outside! Go Beckham Go! Keep working hard on walking and talking and eating and just being you! You little ROCKSTAR! I love your giggles.
I use to work at a church and I had my 3 year old with me in my office at the church after hours and I took a box of files out of my office and some how my little one locked the door behind me. My keys were in my office so I had to call the Pastor to come and unlock the door to get my daughter out. It’s a funny memory now but was vert stressful while it was happening

I hate to see Beckham unhappy but the fact that he is expressing frustration is indicative of his cognitive abilities. He is amazing and you are so wonderful with him❤

There's nothing fun to see her treat him like a toy ! I believe he enjoys more playing with the dog than a sister who he has no control of.

I would have Beckham’s PT look at his gait trainer adjust the support. It does look like he’s at angle, and his feet are behind him instead of under him

We a lady that would layer the blankets and then not feel well . Take her temperature and she would have one . After several times of calling the ambulance that we now just take the blankets away . She was fine . So yes being hot will give you a temperature.

As a health scientist & advanced first aider, I can't help but wonder what type of thermometer the school nurse was using. The ones that scan the forehead are notoriously inaccurate. It's not uncommon for a parent to use a scanning thermometer on their child & get an alarming reading, only for a paramedic, nurse or doctor to use one of those Braun ear thermometers like you were using & get a totally normal reading. You'd be surprised how often this happens.
Looks like his planning skills are quite good. Excellent progress❤ In terms of verbal help, he needed to push forward with his feet to go backwards.
Beckham's growing, so I expect that by now you have adjusted the height of the walker.

Oh my goodnese. Being outside seemed to increase his drive and effort. Amazing! I created a CP category for a young girl in gymnastics. She traveled with the competitive girl's team to the meets and was part of the team. One of the most fulfilling times in my life. I will never forget her or the joy she brought to every meet she competed at.

Think he would be more upright and not leaning over if you put a small pillow in front of his stomach. He has to be uncomfortable leaning forward and also dragging his feet .
Know you want to do everything to help him.

Another thought that I had as a possibility, with Beckham trying to turn around while he's the in the gait trainer you may want to ask the PT/OT if they put him in a backwards to change the direction or just snug up the chest prompt so he is not able to turn his body in the gait trainer unless it turns the gait trainer also turns
