Filmed June 22-24, 2018 in Kodal, Norway.
I went through surgery because of rectal cancer June 27, three days after shooting this video, and got a shitbag on my stomach. And at this time I thought I just had a few years to live because a doctor told me in mid April that I would not survive the cancer.
The surgeon told me June 26 that this was wrong, I could survive.
A Bosnian colleague taught me to swear in Bosnian/Balkan language.
Filmed with Canon Legria HF G25 with external microphone (Canon DM 100) . And GoPro Hero2. Edited in iMovie

What I’ve learned by watching apetor’s videos? I’ve learned, that if you truly are your self in this world, and Don’t try to copy others, the content you make in this world will be unique, and with only your dna on it. Nobody can copy apetor. Rest In Peace you absolute legend.

@@ogizzz6611 Yes. He died a few days ago from drowning after falling through the ice. I suspect he had a heart attack or something that was not expected, as we all know he was very capable when it came to watching out for himself. But no other details have been given. It is tragic nonetheless.

"The Haircut" by Tor Eckhoff is a fascinating film regarding the nuanced relationship between man and nature. By observing the cinematography and the actions taken by Apetor, we can see a particular symbiotic relationship between man and the wild; this is significant because in a world where the contemporary homo sapiens has lost its appreciation for the simplicity of life, Apetor stands out as a godly figure who has attained nirvana by means of Vikingfjord and the outdoors. This can be seen in the very beginning of the film, as he shaves his head in front of a mirror hanging on a tree. However, this seemingly normal act is not achieved within the physical confines of a man-made home; it is accomplished within the dense Norwegian flora, where Apetor truly resides. Another symbolic element of the film is Apetor's apparel. He sports a tight-fitting camouflage shirt, further establishing Apetor's connection with the wild, as he masterfully blends in with his surroundings.
I intend on continuing my analysis of Tor Eckhoff's films on an Apetor-focused blog I'll create if this gets enough likes. It is frustrating that such a creative mind can go unnoticed by the academic world due to the medium in which these videos exist. Tor's mastery of film and storytelling is an art that should be further discussed.

This film has an excellent artistic meaning. The first thing we see is the protagonist getting a haircut. Why a haircut? It is subtle symbolism for change. Through out the whole movie we se our hero doing simple, everyday things like riding a bike or cutting wood, but from time to time we see something unusual. For example the rubber ducks, they shouldn't be there. It's yet another symbolism. It means that something in the life of our protagonist isn't on it's place, something has changed. And of course the whole film is full of moments when our hero drinks vodka. For me this short movie is about alcoholism. When a person becomes an alcoholic his life changes dramatically just like hair after a haircut. Things in such a person's life are out of place. In the ending the protagonist bathes in a tub full of vodka. That is the last symbolism. He gives into his addiction complete, yet you could see happiness on his face. That is his choice and he is happy. Truly a work of art.
