This might come from a narcissistic origin. He might be seeing Yamal and Cubarsi along with Fermin breaking into the first team while he’s a rarely used backup. Might be jealousy, frustration, etc., which I kind of like because it might give him that ronaldoesque competitiveness and edge to him. Guiu is raw talent and I hope they find a way to keep him and provide a genuine chance to him
I agree with most of your points here. Couple of things I think you're not considering. Chelsea's new coach is Enzo Maresca, a disciple of Pep. Maresca will obviously be looking for a strike that fits the profile of his style. If he's going for Guiu, it's tactical. Not hype. That being said, you're right, it's a dumb move for Guiu. Chelsea will be going for a big striker this summer, so Guiu will automatically fall down the pecking order. Ultimately, Guiu will stay.
You couldn’t be more wrong. Chelsea are looking for an out-and-out no.9. He wants minutes and Chelsea can offer that while playing higher level football. I’m not saying it’s the right decision but to automatically associate this move to money only is absurd and annoying.
This could work out if there’s a buy-back clause and I don’t think Barca would even think about offloading their own Masia player if there wasn’t a buy-back clause involved.

Here is what u missed. I think the prem appeals to Guiu. Its a fast and physical league and he thinks his attributes makes him suitable to play in it. Also its reported Maresca has requested him specifically. So maybe there have been discussions and maresca has made him feel wanted. I'm a Chelsea fan. I hope they buy him to use him in the team. If he can be clinical, he will get minutes. If there are only buying him to add to our young striker inventory, then i can say i speak for most chelsea fans and say we are uninterested.

I don’t know why most of us are hating on Guiu cos I think the board should also be blamed as much as he is being hated. Last two seasons, players were willing to join Barca to fulfill their dreams even though we were financially unstable. Now other clubs are easily hijacking our transfer targets and some players you have shown they love this club aren’t willing to renew. How long are we going to turn a blind eye to these and keep blaming players. We need Alemany back
