Ipswich has received a bad rap in the past, which is probably why we've never spent a full day there...until now. Before we left home, we 'Googled' 'Best things to do in Ipswich' and extensive lists appeared. So we visited some of the recommended places....but ran out of time. We loved it and had a great day, so we'll be back soon. Did we mention it's only a 40-minute drive from Brisbane?

Brisbane Valley Rail Trail
Australia's longest Rail Trail starts at Wulkuraka Railway Station in Ipswich & passes through Brassall, Muirlea, Pine Mountain & Borallon. Pull in to Borallon Station Road, Pine Mountain for free 24hr CCTV parking. You can cycle, horse-ride or walk the Rail Trail with your furry friends. www.bvrt.org.au

Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Ok, our timing wasn't great - what with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global economic turmoil less than a month into our trip.
