- Ipswich has received a bad rap in the past, which is probably why we've never spent a full day there...until now. Before we left home, we 'Googled' 'Best things to do in Ipswich' and extensive lists appeared. So we visited some of the recommended places....but ran out of time. We loved it and had a great day, so we'll be back soon. Did we mention it's only a 40-minute drive from Brisbane?

Australia's longest Rail Trail starts at Wulkuraka Railway Station in Ipswich & passes through Brassall, Muirlea, Pine Mountain & Borallon. Pull in to Borallon Station Road, Pine Mountain for free 24hr CCTV parking. You can cycle, horse-ride or walk the Rail Trail with your furry friends. www.bvrt.org.au

Hi, we're Beth & Paul from Brisbane, Australia and we love to travel!
Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Ok, our timing wasn't great - what with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global economic turmoil less than a month into our trip.
Until it is safe to travel internationally again, we turn our focus to travelling around Australia and sharing everything our beautiful country has to offer!

Thankyou for showing that Ipswich is truly a beautiful town 👍 ❤ It is a shame that many people often overlook just how much Ipswich has to offer & are completely unaware that it is rich in culture & has a proud history. I love Ipswich ❤

Ipswich, QLDs oldest provincial city was named world's most liveable mid-size city in 2007 & is the last true growth corridor in the Great South East, we've two master planned satellite cities in our district, Springfield & the new Ripley Valley project.
The next 50yrs is going to see some big things happen in this region & I for one can't wait.
Plenty to be proud of in the city we call home.

You certainly found some beautiful and interesting places in the Ipswitch area. I gather it had some problems in the not so distant past, but they certainly seem to have made an effort to bring it back to its earlier prestige and beauty.

Personally, Ipswich has more to see and do than Brisbane. There is plenty of good architecture and expenses are cheap. In my opinion, Ipswich is underated and called a dump!? Meanwhile, Brisbane is overated as a "world city". Which I think with time Brisbane will be but it is still off in the distance.

I agree I'd rather live on the outskirts than the Brisbane city council Brisbane is full of overpriced dumps and is turning out like Sydney having lived here for 20 years I've seen the attitude get worse and I'm glad I moved to the outskirts.

Great video. Ipswich is a place many want to leave. Little jobs for the young. At night all you hear are hoons. Drugs are a major problem. It's full of single mothers , druggies and dole bludgers. Though many hard working people live there too. It stinking hot in summer and cold in winter.

Thanks@@tg4941 😊 Don't worry...we're fine, our house is up high and only parts of our garden flooded. Many people had their homes, farms or businesses flood. Thankfully, the rain has stopped, giving everyone up here a chance to clean up and assess the damage. The heavy rain has moved south to NSW now.....Thanks for thinking of us 🤗
