I recently took the FTMO challenge to get the £140,000 ($200,000) funded account. I already passed the first challenge, here's what happened with my verification challenge and my thoughts / advice on the overall process.

Literally just passed my challenge today. I went through almost 2 dozen FTMO trials before attempting real. All that’s left now is verification. 100% agree…do….not…rush….it! Take your time. If you blow your trial account you’ll blow a real account and you’re not ready. Stop wasting your money.

You explained the mental pressure well. I personally had saved some funds to trade with and was about to go full time but then unfortunately I took ill ( not covid related ) and was out of work for a long time and had to pay medical bills and normal living expenses for a family of 4 with that money. So now that im on the mend I used my last $500 saved to put towards the 50k challenge and the pressure to perform was so high. Even though I had a proven track record of trading profitably for over a year ( been trading 5 yrs total) I got down with in $300 of failing was about to say i will just start over again when I save the money. Then I thought no you can do it and passed the challenge in 19 days ( 11 trading days). Im currently in the verification stage now. Thanks for your videos!!!!!!

I wish I watched this video before I took my First FTMO challenge about one year ago. I started the paid challenges with zero experience. So far, I have dumbed over $10k on loosing ftmo challenges. I regret! Please don't be like me.

I totally agree with you Nicholas. I think trading looks like one of the most easiest jobs you can do, yet is the hardest. The slightest emotional state change can effect your trading, yet in other jobs you would just continue unaffected or take a tea or coffee out in the cafeteria.

Congrats Nick. It’s quite interesting that you took this challenge even though you don’t seem to need it. It looks like you inspired quite a few people (including myself) to give it a try. Out of curiosity, are you going to trade in the funded account or close it as a successful closure to your experiment?
No reason to close the account, it's extra capital. But there were a few reasons for having the account which I explained in the first video - it's for our trading in our community and will be invoiced to Duomo to fund our projects.

Traders biggest enemy is trend flipping on A dime(e.g. 1H/lower time frame trend).Trend on 4H chart is the best trend guide for majority of forex traders( if one keeps trades for 2-5 days). By the time trader realizes that trend on daily chart is up, market has already gone up about 3-5 days & if you ask supercomputer for the mathematical odds, computer tells you that odds are negative right from the start.Trend based on the last 5-10,four hourly candles has enough players/juice behind it so that it would not flip on A dime, so trader has decent chance to make something without buying overpriced asset. Sir, I seek your wisdom?Thank you.

This is great advice I just hit my $10,000 profit for the second verification and now I just need 7 more trading days to get my $200,000 funded account. It took me 2 years to actually get a grasp of the market and learn how to use my indicators and moving averages. This challenge is definitely not for anybody that is new to the market. Keep sharing your experiences love this video!!!!
I especially like the idea of taking a break after passing a challenge...had not thought about how psychological it can be if your rush into the 2nd one.
Wow congratulations sir. Trading is simple but it is hard to think, your own mentality is affect your annalysis.
The trial account really is useless. It has a tendency to work against most people

After loosing exponential amount of money on FTX when they exit scammed smh, once i heard about prop firms like this. It was honestly one of the best things I could find. I do primarily trade only crypto and its amazing they offer that too!.

Heyo! Congrats! I'm waiting on my trading days for the challenge then have to do verification. I'm on my 3rd challenge, failed the other two but now that I got to see the pressure of going through it and set a better risk plan over the whole 30 days, it was a lot easier. Instead of thinking I had to get it in a week, I decided to go through gradually over the whole month and not overtrading and chasing the 10%.

I cant take the challenge because my bank seems to not allow transactions to the Czech Republic even after calling them about it, anyone else have this problem?

If the rules are easy and many pass, they won't make money from audition fees. The prop firms make their income from the audition fees. You pay before you discover the high spreads and many undisclosed stuff

Interesting. Seems like a lot of people - even newbies - find it rather easy to pass the challenges. Personally it's taken me almost 6 figures of real cash losses and 7 FTMO challenges over the course of 2 years to pass the maximum (400k USD) worth and start trading, but I'm more of a hardcase.
I wonder if younger generations will want to work at all if the prop firm scene keeps growing and remains as low barrier of entry to trading as it is currently. Personally I can't recommend trading to anyone due to the expensive learning curve (most people can't afford to lose 100k, it's their life savings), but seems like on social media I see more and more young profitable traders printing money.
It definitely wasn't easy and I've been involved in the markets for two decades. It took me years and a lot of money wasted before I became profitable too - so you're not alone there!
I don't think newbies pass it easily, I think they gamble and pass by luck, before soon losing the account. There's no point going for it if you can't actually trade well.

I have a question. I've begun trading 4 months ago, I realise this isnt a long time. I have been demo trading to improve my strategy and just to gain experience for the past two months. My aim is to return a positive percent (at least 5%) for two months on a demo account and then try for a 10k funded account challenge. I dont have much capital so I feel like if I set up a £200 live account its risky, I might as well use that to try for a 10k funded account when I've been consistently profitable on my demo. I'll also save up more money to remove that feeling of pressure as you said. What do you think of this approach?

i did not pass but i am on repeat because i was risking 0.5% every trade but i was close to pass... i would like to know how much are you risking per trade(swing trader asking)

The psychological element is the most important and difficult to manage regardless.
When doing ftmo, if im up 8% on a trade then the next day it drops back to my entry point, Will daily loss limit be hit? Risk was 1% at entry

I do have a question please...To help with the pressure and constantly worrying about making a dumb mistake I do this and end up making the very mistake that I was worried about), what specific tools do you use to trade the challenges?.,,,ie, ...Trade manager ( Lot size and risk) , Equity manager Closes positions if you get close to violating a rule), Risk management software or Spreatsheet (that recommends what position size (risk level) to take based upon where you stand in a challenge, Eas for trading...etc

Wow nicolas thats so great mate i saw one of your vidoes a long time ago u in snow n a fency car basically talking abt life of a day trader lol that was a nice video but thn in another video u mentioned u lost alot of money n your gf also left lolz well anyways saw u making an ftmo challenge video i was like heyyy i know him i am also a full time ftmo trader n got to know about ftmo challenge by one of the funded member malaika , i initially failed a 10k verfication stage yes exactly passed 1k profit and lost 500$ lol but 10k challenge which i think no one should take cx of the restriction n no room basically for mistake sweet spot is 100k challenge anyways CONGRADULATION on completing your verfication i hope u make looooooadz of money n yes viewers ftmo is not a scam

Nice one! Well done. I'm also doing my first challenge at the moment, mindset is a massive thing - I over traded in the first week, gave myself a serious talking to over the weekend and I am now working to cover my losses. I was over trading as I was worried about the 30 day deadline, even though I know how to trade. Anyhow, I've still time to work towards target or at least finishing above breakeven for a free retake!

To be honest with you I believe you can't learn trading by just learning on as many videos as they can see, nor free knowledge that they said we can find on youtube or google. They believe they can be consistent by just learning that overtime. The longest part of the journey is actually when we realize its all about us, us, and us. We all need to understand that we need to be experiencing multiple failure to build our mentality in order to be 1% in the market. Since these prop firms appear, lots of beginner jump straight into it without proper knowledge and experience. Its different mentality built than you for example who has built anything from 0 and lose it all in short period of time. Anyway, congratulation on the challenge and really keep doing what you are doing and stay genuine Nick. I only follow you in here. well done

I thoroughly enjoyed your introduction. You were the first channel I subscribed to and followed since I started my journey more than 4 years ago. I had a funded account for over 12 months, but hate to admit it but I'm not dominating the markets due to still battling the psychological aspects of trading. I'm transitioning to FTMO this year - i started w/ a subscription based prop firm because i figured it would be cheaper than paying for individual challenges based on my ability at that time. prop firms really helped me with my discipline but i still struggle. a lot. I can trade the same way I play poker and have the same challenges unfortunately.
