I’m still rocking my titanium prybar from Lynch. It’s on my truck key lanyard. I actually just used it yesterday.
Oh man, I took apart a Manix two yesterday to add the Backspacer. I hope I never have to take it apart again.
put a rubber band around any parts your going to wrench, no scratching.
They also make a tool for removing the lanyard hardwear. Many videos out there that are more organized.
I just ordered my first Spyderco and went with the Para 3. I also happened to order the back space and deep carry clip so this video is perfect I basically know now what I will have to do. Thanks.

I’ve been on a carbon fiber kick for a month now. I really like the weight of carbon fiber liner locks . I like liner bar locks better than lock bars anymore . Especially on the thinner handles .
Need a Kevlar finger cot for that particular finger 😆 🤣 it's the one always being cut.

If you just loosen the other side slightly you can wiggle it to where you need it then tighten the lot
Sharp dressed knives makes a took for the lanyard tubes. Makes it quite a bit easier to remove and at a decent price.
Does the fact that I got a little bit of joy watching you struggle make me a bad person? It does doesn’t it?
Most people make it look so easy, and then I feel like a Dumbbutt when I can’t get it right (I almost never get it right the first time… story of my life).

On my last set of scales I had the same problem and started turning the pivot which I thought was tight but needed another turn first time installing . Might help , might break it . Hope not . Let us know

That's what I heard.
The Para 3 in maxamet is the knife that got me back into collecting knives again. I bought mine through bladeswelove with smooth titanium scales for $285 plus tax so you did good finding that Para 3 2nd. That's a nice cheap way to do it. As long as you can't really detect any defects at least the ones that hurt the action and the blade seems good. Which it looks like you got a nice one.

Definitely a steel I would like to try out. I’m pretty early in the video but I hate working on Spyderco knives. That damn lanyard hole is a pain.
Good video, you had a glitch or two and kept it real.
Also, Lynch makes a clip in "Sandwashed" that I believe is a bit darker. That may have been the one you meant to order.
Regardless, the knife knife looks good, including the clip.

the backspacer is unfortunately made in china and widely available direct on aliexpress, there are ALOT of people on etsy reselling stuff from china as Made in America or Canada. This is not just a problem in the knife world and really kills the credibility of etsy sellers. PacificSons, Monkeymenco, callumKingWorkshop to name a few are aliexpress resellers
Damn. Pacific Sons were recommended by a bunch of people and said that it was US made. I definitely need to make sure I do better research.
@@SaidStevie its just one of those things, you dont really expect people to lie about where things are made. Luckily their markup isnt too terrible(about 2x on the backspacer, most other items they sell are anywhere from 4-10x markup), and it did save you from waiting 3weeks-3 months for the spacer to arrive. A true american made backspacer would still be about double the price or more.
@@charvey635 The price wasn't even the issue. I'll happily pay the price for a US made. I'm already looking at picking one up from Rockscale Design
