    When I saw the helicopter rise above the corner of the layout, I honestly expected to hear the Airwolf theme playing; it was so realistic!

      I really wanted to use the actual Airwolf music, but I've gotten a copyright strike before and didn't want to take the risk again.

      @@michaelramsey81 Completely understandable! You definitely don't want to get in trouble for using something w/o asking.

    Not only do I enjoy model railroading (N, HO, an 2 rail O scale) I also fly rc helicopters ( Blade 70s, MSR, MSRX, 130sr, 230 S, 330x, and Rotorscale AH-6). You will find that the larger helicopters are easier to fly but more expensive to repair, just like O scale compared to N scale

    As a model railroader which I hope you don't totally neglect, I have a model painting question: What do you use to strip paint from plastic?
    Also as a trekker I think a lot if people would love to see your USS Enterprise model progress!

      I usually strip paint with 99% isopropyl alcohol. It will dissolve almost any type of paint given enough time (and some quite quickly).
      Don't worry, there's definitely more train content on the way, and I have an Enterprise model kit video in the works as well!

    I’m no RC buff and if you look at my channel content you would know I’m a huge railfan.
    But I honestly I enjoyed this great job!

    Very fine heli !!! Where did you buy the lighthouse behind you ?

    • @michaelramsey81
      @michaelramsey81  Рік тому +1

      It's a Walthers Cornerstone kit. I believe it's called the Rocky Point Lighthouse. Most hobby shops that carry train stuff should have it.

      @@aureliusprimus You can run the LED from any 9-12v DC power supply. I have mine connected to a small wall-wart transformer.

    I didn’t know this existed, thanks for bringing it to light. I’d love to do something Airwolf related in the future…
    _On a most definitely unrelated note, what do we think about FP45s?_

    • @michaelramsey81
      @michaelramsey81  3 роки тому

      I can't really say I have a strong opinion about FP45s, mostly because I don't do much with larger diesel locomotives. Maybe I should get one, lol.

      @@michaelramsey81 I’ve messed around with a few in my time, the Athearn blue box ones are beasts. With the right motor and PC board you can put a decoder and lights in one really easy. I’m still working on mine but all good things take time
