For all new comers dont go Metropolitan city like toronto and GTA area.
Try to go rural area. You will save tones of money to live in rural area.
Rent costs you just $250includes all plug grocery cost you $100. Transit pass is free in rular area. Instead of Toronto you hv to spend approximately $200 for bus pass. And if u live in Toronto your mind must attract to eat in Indian restaurants by each week. So better to settle your self in rural area.
Once u finish graduation u can move to toronto with enough savings
But it is definitely cheaper than Toronto
Means montrial side or what u mean ruler area what colgs are in that areas or what about jobs availabilty there
Don't leave Ontario. Try to go Sudbury, Barrie, Sault St. Marie, ThunderBay, Winnipeg is in Manitoba province but its good to live. Kitchener, Waterloo, and many more places. Jobs opportunity for part time is good if u arrive in Sept. Intake for January intake sometimes u might have to face unemployment for 5 to 6 months till summer starts

Colleges offers you only diploma and certificate courses while Universities are meant for Masters and research oriented programs.

GIC is an investment in Canada with very lower interest rate.
