I know... but i think with so much going on at the moment, uncertainty if that request was still for sure and probably a concussion it's a hard decision to make. At one point they both stood on death's ledge and pulled each other back so it's hard to know if that's not once again a possibility if you don't at least get a chance to talk to the person once more... (And this is why I love this shows writing!)
