Jimmy is good people. I’m 50 and I have learned a lot just by watching, listening to him. My life has changed because of his book Catch A Better Life. That book is great if you don’t have one get one if you can afford it if not let me know.
I’m 37 years old and been watching this man bass fish and hunt all my life,and I think besides Bill Dance Jimmy is the only guy that’s always loving everyone smiling laughing joking cutting up and just really enjoying life and he’s truly thankful and grateful for every single little thing he has and for every single fish he catches it doesn’t matter if it’s 14oz or 14lbs he’s thankful! What a great Christian man and may God bless the Houston family ❤

I'm 54 and been watching Jimmy fish and hunt for many years but nothing touches my heart more to see a man a rich man humble himself before Lord and Savior Jesus Christ knowing in his heart that he is the last line of defense the Bible tells us that it is easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle then it is for a rich man to enter the kingdoms of heaven Jesus Christ is the bottom line trust in him he is our savior amen

I'm 68 years old and I have been watching his fishing shows back when I was a kid, not too long ago I met him at the bass pro shops in Pearland along with other pro fishermen at (by invitation only) at first I didn't want to go by myself to it ,but I'm glad I did.
I remember praying for her and your story makes the hair stand up on my arms. God is good!

My wife and I are almost at the end of a 3 plus year journey of being full time caregivers for my Mom. She had a stroke that robbed her of the ability to remember. It is s difficult thing to do, but we have no regrets for spending 3 plus years doing this. As I write this, she probably will not make it through this week before God takes her home.

Got to meet him at the opening of Bass Pro Shop in Maryland he talked to me about Crappie fishing like I was the only one that was in line !! I still have a bass pro shop shirt with his autograph !! Nice guy love his laugh and his devotion to his fans and his wife !! He’s an honest man who loves fishing !!

Went through this with him , later I suffered through months of watching my wife die from a cancer caused by too many medical prescriptions. Her liver was covered in cancer when it was discovered , doctors gave her about two months to live when they found it . She last about two months and three weeks. She passed away January 30, 2023…we were married just a little over 42 years.
Sorry for your loss buddy.
I watch your show. I lost my 2018 and my new love been battling cancer and she beat cancer. I told her NEVER GIVE UP. She took my advice. She going to get better.

Been watching Jimmy most of my 70 years. I believe he never staged a fish. But hard to believe at least some of his bloopers weren't. You would watch his show to see if he could stay in the boat. What a beautiful couple and an inspiration to all.

God bless you Jimmy. About 17? 18 years ago, my wife Sandy suffered the same thing. As she lay in the ICU room that night, and I was laying across her bed asking God to give her back to me, I heard a voice speak to me. "You're praying for the wrong thing." I looked around...there was no one else in the room. I said out loud..."Praying for the wrong thing? What does that mean?" The voice replied "Genesis Chapter 22." Genesis Chapter 22? What does that mean? Then it hit me. That's where Abraham is called upon to sacrafice the thing he loves the most, his only son Issac. I then realized I was asking for the wrong thing. She didn't belong to me. I had no right to ask for her back. She belonged to Jesus. She had given herself to Jesus, long before she met me. I changed my prayer then. I told God she was His. Do with her as HE wanted. I would accept His will either way. "BUT! If You don't need her. I do. But I will praise You either way." Sandy survived and is still with me today. She's not the same was she was, but then neither am I. We are closer than we ever were. We're seldom out of each others sight. She loves to get me into an "argument." She look at me and say "You told God you wanted me back, so shut up." I'll wink and say, "Yes, but I never told you that He asked me "ARE YOUR SURE?"

I had a chance to fish with him one time but I was already at work if ft worth and it would have been a 40 minute drive to get back. I wish he would air that episode from Starr Hallow Ranch in Tolar Tx. Man I wish I would have been able to fish with him. 😢

I went to a boat show in OKC once and Houston put on a casting exhibition. He cast a plug into a Styrofoam cup from a good distance with a flick of his wrist, time after time after time.
