It's our duty to work for RIGHTEOUS leaders.
The bible guides us in Proverbs 29:2
When the RIGHTEOUS rule, the people rejoice:
but when the WICKED rule, the people mourn
Yeah, right! Maybe not however. He was the one to have discovered that "bread and circuses" calmed the masses. I didn't know if you'd still see after a year, but I used to teach the Bible so I am motivated to answer such questions. Happy New Year!
After I listened to it, Barton was referencing that in Mt 6, Jesus said not to "worry over what to eat or to eat" Barton says because the disciples were worried about economic first. Jesus said to seek "righteousness first." There was nothing about voting. As far as I know in the Bible, there wasn't much voting, though an occasional "casting lots". As subject of a King or of Caesar, they wouldn't be able to vote.
No kidding or they would have voted Caesar right out. LOL
And where did Jesus speak about voting in Matthew 6?
