You remind me to most of my expat clients, especially Rebecca 😀. I’m going to Rinjani next week, and hopefully I can manage to the top. Thank you for the food advise. Thumbs up for Rebecca who did her first ever climb to Rinjani 😀 For me this video is the most useful than others. Thank you man 🙏🏼
Fun fact: If you think climbing Rinjani is easy from the start, you'll face a tough challenge at a checkpoint we call the "Hill of Regret or in indo bukit penyesalan" have a good day gaes lombok is good 😁
congratulations you guys are great! we local climbers will think twice to climb rinjani. usually we have a certain step to climb lower mountains before climbing rinjani. it works for warming up and adapting. oh yeah rinjani is not the most difficult, there are still many Indonesian mountains that are much more tiring physically and mentally and frustrating. keep up the spirit! 👍👍👍
I was just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time with a few other awesome guys who were willing to step up and together, we all got her down the hill as a team, safe and sound! It was a great day!
nature is unpredictable, especially mountain. what we can do is just prepare ourselves for all the worst things. i think rinjani is not beginner, theres is hot at bottom and sometimes cold at the top dont forget about the high. i've felt what your wife has felt when i was 12, but now im a indonesia military officer not hard anymore for me. keep it up
Amazing video! Good review. It was great sharing this experience with you guys 💪🏽 keep up the good video’s. Hopefully we’ll meet again in the future😎 enjoy the goodlife
Thanks a lot brother! We appreciate it. Us too! We couldn't think of anyone better to take on a mountain with! Maybe we'll find another one to hike together in the future, we just can't tell Rebecca until we get there haha
Am glad the gods of algorithm sent me this video. Not that I wanna hike any mount anytime soon tho lol. But as an Indonesian living at the feet of a dormant volcano (Mount Lawu/Grey), I won't say I'm not tempted.
Recommended time to hike rinjani is when the dry season start. around september october is when the season change period into rainy season. Thats why its usually windy at the top. The bvest time would be june-august.
Yes we found out that information from locals before hiking it, and, we hiked it in July. Our guides told us that it was the most windy day they had seen up there in a while. It was unexpected.
Honestly Rinjani aren't for the biginer it's second highest mountain in Indonesia..mount in java are for the biginer so when you feels like Rebecca go to java's mountains.. Lovely views thou and what a legend with that girls rescue..you saves someone life with that you should proud of your self..
You should try first, then you want to do again, I live in Jakarta, the nearest Mountain here is mount Gede (2.958) And mount Pangrango (3.019) I already climbed those two mountains and it's tiring but satisfying, if I had a long weekend holiday or any National holiday then those two mountains is my fav place to go
@@boss2280 sure we all have many time to do, I also like that at first, couse my friend invited me to join so many time to climb a mountain but I always refuse couse I don't have the equipment and I don't have any holiday couse Saturday I still working, but when I decided to join, and I feel like, wow ist tiring but it feels good, you can start with camping in a hills or small maintain campsite, it also depends where u live, if you live in Jabotabek, then Bogor is the best place to go for natural activity
@@agungs8564 yeah that sounds fun, I don't know if i can climb it anytime soon or just on certain days, right now i'm busy taking care of my scholarship, and in my place there are some mountains that are suitable for beginner climbers, and the mountains are not too high, yeah i've been to bogor but not to the mountain, the air there is quite cool even though it's only at the foot of the mountain, different from where i am, even though it's at the foot of the mountain here the hot air can still be felt.
11:25 yeah, when you respond even with a "NO", they will still bug you. As a native from neighboring island, even we got that treatment to a certain degree. My trick is to put headphone/earphone on, just ignore them, and come off as ignorant prick. Don't say anything.
😂 yeah it's true hiking is more mental challenge than physical, my sister 16 yo , she's pro gamer and lazy as hell , never been doing any physical exercise , but she's already done 3 times hiking in rinjani just for makes her social media looks good 😂😂
I don't doubt you have. Now give them a 50+lb ruck sack, 2 bad knees, a messed up back, and no calories or sleep, and have them carry a person 8kms down the hill on the 3rd day when they're exhausted. That should separate the weak.
you r expecting to much for hiking hahaha.. its actualy easy ruote with guide and porter .. imagine if u are real hiking mountain. carrying everything , prepare food , tent by yourself or team, and off tourist trail.🙏 to some ppl hiking mountain like that 1 inlife time experience probably worth trying 👍

@Sleepwalker507it's actually 2nd highest volcano in Indonesia after Kerinci, Semeru is the Highest volcano in Java, but Rinjani is Higher,
Even though there are many mountains in Indonesia, I have never climbed one until now, however, I salute you all, I have subscribed. ❤
