This is an update on my usage of the Deeper Network Mini and Pico devices. These devices unlock geo-restriction son the web, unlock sites that block access because of your actual location. It is also a device that provides a free VPN , a DPN if you will that is not only more secure but does not keep any logs, personal info etc. There are zero VPN servers, you are the server! I have the Deeper Connect Mini and the latency is CRAZY via full tunnel. My question to you, can you share some of your domains for setting up? Any chance you know the domain for UA-camTV?
I have read about this product and see lots of videos and im not convinced yet..... i think it is expensive and slow your conection, mining is not a real option and for see movies in netflix... some vpn are cheap and not have nothing at all is an option.

I purchased a deeper connect mini, primarily for ad/tracker blocking and web filtering, with DPR mining as a bonus. However, I can't seem to get the blocking and filtering to work. I've set it up in virtual wire mode, and the dashboard shows ads and trackers being blocked, but I don't see any difference on my devices. The web filtering isn't working at all - I've added tiktok and all associated domains to the blacklist, but I can still access it with no problems.
P.S. I see they've added that "refresh" button since you posted this video :)

1. Can you please do a review of the Deeper Mini - Mini SE w/ the fan base? Can I use those USB ports to plug a HDD (w/media) and use SMB/DNLA?
2. I just got a Flint after watching your videos. How can I plug a 10TB HDD (w/media) into my new Flint? 3. Also, I was thinking of possibly getting the Brume 2 to plug my 10TB HDD into as a (VPN/ Media) Server... then connecting the Flint as a Client/WiFi Router to Brume 2... I want Wireguard/Adguard goodness with good speed, but I'm not sure whether to enable/disable VPN on these 2 devices...
(I get 200 down/20 up on my Linksys sans VPN).
4. Finally, will you please make a video on how, when to use SMB, DNLA? NAT?
I'd really like to hear your take on these things!
Also, once the GLiNet Server, Client, HDD/NAS is set up - how could/should we incorporate the Deeper Mini into the mix?

Excellent video, thank you! I just became aware of this product/service and I find it very interesting.
Sadly finding specific details about it has been quite frustrating. Even the official website, while it has a lot of info, seems to be lacking in the UX department IMO.
Also, I'm seeing some overly generalized or conflicting info. The product page lists the type of cpu as "ARM64 4-core" for example, or just the number of cores. OK great, what kind of ARM cpu is it? Are the clock speeds different between the Mini SE and Mini? Are they still using Intel cpus? The whitepaper says they use both ARM and Intel.
I get the impression that there have been hardware revisions, but there's no mention of this on the product page.
I'm not trying to bash the product or company, just venting my frustration. My use case is similar to yours, and I think the mining piece is interesting side benefit to play around with, but that's it. I'm seriously considering buying one, but I shouldn't have to engage the devs via Reddit to get answers that should be easily found on their site. I suppose it's possible the info is there and I somehow missed it.

Hi for the phatom node you were saying, have you tried flushing dns ? I see you're using chrome there's an extension you could add to flush dns… well a shortcut to the flush dns button

Also, If you'd like to block youtube ads you can always use the Brave browser to watch youtube without ads ;)

Hello, thank you for great video. Maybe you know will my ip adress will leak somehow while using tunnel ? Example if im connected to a tunnel , and internet/electricity from tunnel's side will drops, will my real ip will be leaked ?
If you have the routing setup properly, it should not leak if tunnel goes down..you will not have access to that site

Can I use this to work for a US company that requires remote working to be in the US to connect to there VPN. I am hoping this will work since I already order it. During covid we were allowed to work remotely, so I left the US, and do not want to return.

Microsoft Defender in Windows 11 or 10 is very good. I stopped using 3rd party antivirus software few years back with windows 10 and had no issues until now.

You don't need to reboot to get different ips using smart route, just delete the country and add it back you will get a new set of ips
You cannot delete the country if you have domains setup for that country. You'd have to delete all your custom domains and then delete the country ...then setup all your domains again for smart route. Nice thought tho
Unfortunately that is true, I've only had 1 domain to delete/add, you have a lot. Would not make sense in your situation. The refresh tab for each tunnel is a great idea!

Can you use these to keep your ips from see you torrenting? If so, do both modes work or just the full route?
Get a vpn if you just want to torrent. No way to connect only to torrent friendly nodes

Because most people don't have a server running 24/7 to share their connection. However,. They do have a software solution that connects to the hardware nodes 🙂

The fact you are using your Pico with an Antenna gives the idea you are mining/routing behind your modem/router and not getting your device connected to the internet using your real IP provided by your ISP, therefore the lower number of connections that show on your Dashboard. Try switching your setup to Modem-Pico-Router and things will start looking better for you.
That's how I'm using my mini buddy. Modem,mini, router. Nice tip for noobs tho

I just set up the pico (virtual wire mode option between my modem and router)..I tested my ip address before adding and after and it's the same/ unchanged and can't access a BBC website in the uk still whilst in the US (can't play bbc iplayer).. what am I doing wrong/ how can this be fixed please? Thanks for any help as so far it's not working as advertised. It's also less than halved my internet speeds (from 200mbps to 90mbps) I have without it connected.. is there any way to improve this? Thank you
Max speed on the pico is only 100mbps, so that seems normal. As far as BBC, it works as i explained in the video . Good luck
@@TheJabberTech as far as bbc.. it only works in full dns mode for me. Are you able to get it to work with Smart dns mode as full dns mode slows the internet speed to n only 8 mbps..maps..? Do they make a product that allows for much faster speeds than 100mbps even up to 1gbps? Thanks again

I got confused ... I'm a seaman. I'm at sea and constantly travelling. If I get one of those I can have internet while I'm at sea? When I'm at port (vessel stopped) will I have then? Or it is only for crypto mining ⛏️ usage?

This doesn't give you internet service,.it routes the service you have so that you have a connection somewhere else
I use one while out at sea, but only to create a personal network. Unfortunately, my ships have a private hidden network, which none of the Deeper products can access. I do use it in port though when I need to download and access things from my hone country

I'm in the Philippines, so there probably isn't a lot of demand, and mining income wouldn't be very much. I have two devices, both set to Full Route since everything I access is in the US. I don't understand why re-routing a connection would be slower that way than if I added every URL I wanted to connect to in a big list. I didn't have much luck trying Smart Route, but your explanation of finding and adding other URLs that aren't obvious was enough that maybe I'll try again.
I am curious about the speed loss though. I can lose as much as 90% of my connection speed through the device. If someone is connecting to my node, are they seeing the connection speed before the Deeper device or afterward?
I've assumed that if I am going through a node that gets disconnected, I will just get routed through another node automatically. Maybe devices being disconnected is rare enough that I haven't noticed?
Yup, maybe full route automatically changes nodes? I haven't used full router long enough to investigate, have too many servers and devices that I need online 24/7
Filipino-American here. Would I be able to set my location as New York, and work a U.S.-based work from home / U.S. / New York remote job without getting caught using this device? Or is this a longshot?

I have a huge issue with my Pico which I have bought some time ago. It isn't working at all. After setting it up as a WIFI connection with the antenna, (Wireless Relay Mode), I connect the power source. The Deeper symbol is flashing very slow in blue first, then goes into red flashing with a higher flash rate but never turns into a permanent red. Any suggestions??
