Buffalo, New York - This is a day in the life inside the greatest fanbase in the history of sports - Bills Mafia. Well, at least if you’re from Western New York like I am that’s what you believe down to your core.
For those that have no idea what I’m talking about yet, let me give you a very quick history lesson about Bills Mafia:
Buffalo, New York is a forgotten city tucked away on the banks of Lake Erie along the Canadian Border. It’s best known for Niagara Falls, Chicken Wings, and a Football team that’s as unpredictable as the weather.
In the 90s they were both a powerhouse and a disappoint - The first team ever to go to 4-straight super bowls - unfortunately losing them all - And they’ve been cursed by this ever since.
That is however until the recently, as a major shake up found us with a new owner, coach, and star quarterback, Josh Allen.
Giving new hope and optimism to an already unconditional fan base. As of today’s game we’re fighting for our lives to save the season and get into the playoffs. You notice how I say “we” so effortlessly - that’s the Bills Mafia talking.

I'm sixty six years old, born and raised in Buffalo, now living for the past twenty seven years in Cleveland. I love the Bills and aways have and always will. I've tailgated MANY times right along where those guys are, many times. LOTS of great people and lots of good times, even in losing seasons. I went to my last Bills game probably five seasons ago - as even though my nephew has season tickets (he's also in Cleveland) I just haven't had the opportunity to go to too many but now that I'm retired hopefully that'll change - when I had access, well I should say "we", as in the whole group of us, to the "family and friends" lot at the stadium as my cousin through marriage has a step niece who's married to one of the players. I met him that morning of the game at his house and was blown away by how incredibly welcoming and nice he was. The Bills won that game, and although it was in late September, the temperatures were in the low nineties. It was just a riot all around with the whole atmosphere being like a party. The whole "mustard" man thing was something I'd never heard about before, as my nephew and a few others from our group wen to see the guy. I don't quite get it, nor do I get the whole smashing tables thing either, but what great fans. I'm in Cleveland now, as I mentioned, and they also have some DIE HARD fans as well, and although this will sound "homer" of me, they're not quite as passionate as Buffalo's fans. Go Bills because IF, and yes, it's a HUGE IF, but if the Bills beat the Chiefs today I truly think this is their year.

Heartwarming after the loss yesterday. I'm in CA, but been a fan ever since the CA boy Allen joined them and I've never looked back. When my kids get a little older I'm going to spend sometime out there in Buffalo.

Not in Orchard Park lol. They are very rated here. Extremely rated. Bills games are without question the best NFL game experience, doesn’t matter what team you love either. Everyone should go once, just to see the absurdity lol.

We are the best in the world and that’s an undebatable fact, not an opinion. Went to a Chiefs game in Arrowhead and I thought I was gonna die from boredom at the tailgate. Yea everyone was nice and friendly and the bbq was nice, but dear god it’s a tailgate not a funeral procession. I want barrel fires, I want insane people, I want snowball fights, I want broken tables and Pete’s cabinet pizza!

I never understood the whole tables thing
They’re investigating the Buffalo vs chiefs game! Because I heard that they (NFL) were going to investigate the game, because they think the refs were cheating so the chiefs would win. I guess one of the refs was posting something insinuating that he was a big chiefs fan and that he tries to help them win when he officiates their games. I guess they’re looking at the second Kelce touch down and the pass interference call in the fourth quarter.

If I could recommend a place for your to travel it would be to the New Caledonia islands. I would love to go there one day. Im huge into reptiles and that group of islands provided one of the most kept geckos in captivity the crested gecko, the islands also have the biggest known gecko species in the world the leachianus gecko .

It's good to see the fans in Buffalo and more than just the one Bills fan I had the unfortunate time of meeting in San Francisco. He came to Candlestick Park for a road game in San Francisco against the Niners. I have had season tickets most of my life. He sat in the row in front of me and was very drunk and being a jerk to everyone around him. He was constantly shouting at people everytime the Bills gained any yards, and every first down he would run up to the guy behind me and shout at him and poke him in the chest. When we told him he needed to calm down he responded with "F*** you". Right before half time he was pretty well hammered and decided to run up and poke the guy behind me again, and this time he shouted "how you like that you...." and then the N word at him to cap it off. The guy shoved him, and he fell over the seat and landed on my wife. Her soda spilled on him, and he decided to call her a dumb b***h and grabbed her around the throat and cocked back to punch her in the face. (He didn't get a chance to finish that) He was carried out right after that. I learned not to judge a group of people by one person, but that was like the worst visiting fan experience I ever had. Made me hold a bit of a grudge against the Bills for a bit. It was very refreshing to see the fans all so nice and welcoming and down to earth folks and all the charitable stuff to scrub my brain of that one jerk. Made me want to experience a tailgate at Highmark the next time the Niners travel to NY and looked like a great time too. Great video man.

I love the documentary. Great job. I have an issue with the word Mafia, because what I have seen over my life across the US, not just in Buffalo,.. is the real life problems caused by actual mafia. They might cloak it as a 'family thing" or "this thing of ours"./// but the trouble is, modern Buffalo fans do not know how true and harmful it is in their own town. Bread and circus, when it creates a veil, must be examined just like anything else. Be truthful, and change the name,...Bills Fans is all that is needed, question where things come from, and where they take you in branding. Buffalo has no need for excessive branding...Mafia, is not a path for the wise. Humility is the end of that path, unnecessary displays of it.
