I was not expecting a Bmask reflects on the cultural implications of going onto rides in Paris while his sister quotes a terrified Italian's exclamation of "Mama Mia " but we can't always predict the things we need. Good video B.
Yeah the highs of Eisner haven't been matched since. Disney was more about the great things they made rather than putting the most focus on the stuff the companies they bought make
Always a delightful time getting to hear you go on about the history and current state just about anything! I sincerely hope you enjoyed your time at the parks and spending time with your friends and family. Here's wishing you pleasant and fruitful 2024, Mr. Mask!
I was in Paris in 2022, it's a wonderful park. One of the best moments of that trip was watching the Spider-Man show and watching this little kid get really exited. Hearing a small child scream "Peter Parker! Peter Parker!" in a French accent is really cute and funny.
18:00 Real B-Mask or not, this is a lovely beard. I discovered you with the Fantastic 4 video. Good luck for the future projects, and happy 2024 to you! -A French-canadian boi.
BWAHAAA THE FRENCH PARKS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN CELEBRATED FOR THEIR EXCELLENCE! THERE IS AN AMERICAN PARK BY WALT DISNEY INSPIRED BY THAT SAME FRENCH EXCELLENCE!
Hi, how come I missed this episode? I put the bell on and everything.. You should talk to your UA-cam guy brother, for some reason your videos aren’t getting pushed. Hate to miss your videos bro Anyway, Great video as always
Were the workers discussing out of character at the Haunted Mansion in California? Cause I've also been on the ride before closing, it's very fun. But the one in Florida also had workers completely in tune with the setting and even scared my companions in the dark before the ride even started.
I've heard good things from the Florida one- I actually only went on it once when I was there, so didn't have enough time to judge, but maybe one day I'll get to experience it again. But yeah, it was just one guy manning it right at the head of the queue where we were waiting and he just kept going on about his headshots lmao
I relate to the tummy feeling comment so hard, my friends forced me onto Space Mountain and I nearly cried. I was shaking, while first graders wanted to go again. I spent the rest of the trip afraid a dark ride would suddenly speed up and drop, even though I'd already looked up which were thrill rides and which were child friendly. Universal is almost entirely roller coasters or kids only rides, so I spent that entire weekend in 30 degree weather holding everyone's bags. There just aren't a lot of theme parks that have many options in between extreme thrill seeking and small scale kiddie stuff, and Disney is the only one I've heard of with good food.
@@BMask I’m actually jealous you got to hear those thoughts first hand! I’ve been curious for ages to know what he specifically would think after actually visiting Eisner’s Disneyland. (P.S. also this video was excellent btw, and I’ve subscribed.)
If their's anything I took away from this video, is that I should enjoy somthing without fearing about it potentially disappearing. Disney may or may not be losing its grip again, I don't think so at all, alot of the ire is just schadenfreude for something a small but noticeable amount of people don't like, but even if it were to go by the way side, Disney left it impact on the world in ways that even after it's hypothetical fall, others will try to recreate what made it special, but in the mean time I'm going to sit back and not worry 'bout the big mouse company, such things are out of my hands.
Your videos are always a bright spot for me when I see them. They’re always well thought out and cover a lot of topics I’m interested in with entertainment, culture, philosophy and history. Even topics I didn’t have much interest in before you made interesting through your analysis.
No worries- I appreciate the views they do get and comments like this regardless. Very fun, cathartic videos to put together whatever happens, so I'm happy to make em!
There's only few UA-camrs that I genuinely look forward to uploading, regardless of the topic they are going to talk about. Been here since the Sly trilogy times and I just want to say thank you, for both introducing and re-introducing me to many amazing works of art, while also providing an interesting and well-researched perspective on them. Currently watching Cheers along with my family (your video was the first time I heard about the series) and having a blast. Wishing all the best for you and your loved ones. Greetings from Slovakia! :)
Yeaaaah Let's get this video to a lot of views in the first hour so that it gets love from youtube Algorithm bless this video which i liked even before watching it because it's that good Seriously, sometimes i end up pissed off because i can't like it again after watching it, fix that youtube Lots of words lots of engagement, yadda yadda
You know B, You've got a really great sense of drama and themeing. Whatever you decide you want to focus on, Im here for the ride. Ive really enjoyed your videos and am excited to see what you do next, so if you want to branch out, you have my support!
Didn't think I'd see a travel vlog/video essay hybrid I went to Disneyland once and have always been a bit jealous of other people's in depth knowledge of the park
Hadn't heard of any of this until today- and google isn't bringing up specific defences from Eisner himself. Clearly, I would have to read further- I am however, seeing a lot of right wing religious groups using this as a way to denounce Eisner for contributing to a gay agenda, which tells me whatever story I uncover isn't going to be terribly black and white.
I heard it from the interview of Salva’s victim. (23:36), but I suppose it still would have been good to double check. m.ua-cam.com/video/1M9ATFAYsEk/v-deo.html
If you had said "Disneyland Paris" I would not have clicked on this because I know what that is. Since you said "Eisner's Disney" I imagined a place that doesn't exist deeply rooted in the seedy mythology around the man's name. Disneyland Paris Michael Eisner Bob Chapek Names that have there own reputation of sorts but I never saw Paris as "Eisner's Disney" I thought Eisner's Disney was Disney's America or River Country. I forgot he was credited for Paris. At least to the extent that its named for him. Was Tokyo and Hong Kong also under Eisner? are they not all his parks? Im not clear on the time line. Still, Michael Eisner vs Bob Chapek, I have a soft spot for Eisner he's the best one NOT in the Walt bloodline. He gave us a LOT of GOOD ideas. More then Chapek If I had a better grasp on time lines and accomplishments I could better discuss this. just odd wording of the video title.
A French cowboy saying “howdy” is the funniest thing I’ve heard today
Also ironic that the sound h doesn’t exist in French.

"Mama Mia" is just such a wonderful reaction to a rollercoaster
That seal was the greatest part of the video. I love that seal... better than Frasier.

B Mask, since your monkey island video i absolutely fell in love with your work. I’d love to see you swing for the fences on your own original idea
That's very kind, thank you! Maybe one day I'll make it happen.
Having the 30 form the Mickey logo is so clever! I hope whoever thought that one up got a raise!

Wait wait hold up … so has Kevin (Defunctland) actually managed to visit Disneyland Paris by this point? Did I understand that part right?
By the time we spoke at D23 in 2022 yes, he'd gone on a European trip and finally seen Paris for himself, was great to hear about!

I remember when Disney was peak. I was in paris as a kid. I still remember walking during the parade and also getting a light year doll.

At first glance I thought the title of the video was "We visited Epstein´s island"
10:46 - Sweet mother of God, a pizza burger? I have no words XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD

Perfect timing, I just came home from Disney Paris.
Just trying to imagine a 2020s Disneyland with hallmarks of the 2020s like social distancing and Skibidi Toilet.
loved your last disneyland video so this was a nice surprise in the sub box

just odd wording of the video title.
An odd wording that earned a click and detailed response, so
Also makes for some damn good parallels for the previous Chapek video.
