I was wearing Freed's point shoes 50 yers ago. When I had to give up classical ballet, I kept my last pair of point shoes which I still have and they will be buried with me!
Very interesting although I know nothing about ballet shoes. I watched another you tube video about the dozens of ways each dancer modifies the shoes to fit them, cutting away parts of the shoes, rolling them around to soften them, sewing them! I had no idea how difficult it is to get them just right. Thanks for sharing.
I love freeds so much - they’re so comfortable and easy to roll through. I’m trying to make my current pair last lol they die so fast! I currently wear studios. Thank you for the very informative video!
Great video for us all Freed fans ! I've tried many different styles from this brand and so far all I knew was correct and I also learned new things from this video! Being fitted in the London store was a magical experience. I would just add that the studio pro shoe is also 3/4rd. I often tell my friends that in the Freed language, pro=3/4 shank. The cpro90 is my favorite😊
This is a fantastic video. Thank you so incredibly much from the bottom of my heart for doing this. I am currently shadowing and training to extend my pointe shoe fitting into more of the professional realm and having videos like this just makes me so happy, especially with a company like Freed. 💕 You are treasure and you have a new super fan!
Thank you so much for your kind words!! I’m so glad this video was useful as you learn more about the world of pointe shoes! The makers video will follow soon so stay tuned ❤️
Thank you for making this video. I love freeds and pointe shoes in general for the matter. This knowledge you're sharing is so useful! Thank you again. I would love to see another video explaining the customisation process. x
Great video - so much valuable information. I will definitely get fitted for a pair of Freed's with the hope they are right for me. Never tried them but have seen many online comments endorsing them as a wonderful shoe. Thank you.😊
@@Pointebrush yes! If I’m not mistaken I was fitted in the studio pro hard and I was so shocked when they died after barely 5 hours of use; granted I have a very high arch which always makes my shoes die fast 😅
Russian Sapfir gals, studios are a great alternative! My feet are extremely tapered and skinny & unless I custom order I always need a box liner. That being said, now that I can’t get my sapfirs, the studios are great! They don’t last quite as long but are very beautiful and have a similar shape.
Am I an adult who has never set a foot in a ballet studio, or actually any dance class ever? Yes. Is this video fascinating to watch nonetheless? Yes, absolutely
I love that shiny satin fabric I really wish they sold it by the yard at least in some exceptions because it's really going to waste in all those shoes only
Hello! I am so interested into knowing how i can customize a pair of pointe shoes, I am trying to get a CP 90 with a flatter shank but I need some advices from someone who knows. That’ll be so helpful!!!🤞🏻💓
Hi there! The custom process at Freed is quite intense! I think the best way to know your options is to contact them directly for a custom fitting. There are SO many options for shanks and customizations so I would definitely recommend reaching out to them ❤️
Hii i been watching this for a little bit and you said at the end of the video that you will make a video on freed makers and I can not find it so can you please make that video
Personally, I think going straight to the source is always ideal since they know their product best and have a lot of inventory and options. I would reach out to them directly and see what your options are. Good luck!!
Hi there! I do but I think it’s a subject better left to your teacher and pointe shoe fitter, they would know best what works for you at this stage in your technique and physiology 👍
OMG, this was such an interesting video. I know nothing about Pointe shoes. I thought there was only one shoe type and you went to the dancers' shop and bought them. Thanks for all the info. I found it fascinating and can't wait for more ❤ 🩰

Can’t wait to share 😉😉😉

I always preferred Freeds. So comfortable.
I agree!!
@@Pointebrush don’t you just love the smell of new pointe shoes. They should bring out a perfume. Eau de Freeds pointes. Mmmmmmmm

Great video! I wear studio pros and I love them so much; the only downside is that they barely last me a week 😩
Oh no! That isn’t very long at all! Have you tried the harder shanks?

Studio/Studio II has a cotton drawstring 🙂
Yay! Thank you! 👍
I was just fitted for freeds and they suggested studio ii and classic wing block
I own a pair of classic Pro H pointe shoes they are so beautiful.
I agree! Freeds are gorgeous!
great video!!! super detailed & informative :)
So happy it was helpful!
11:33 I’m pretty sure shock absorption means there is a slight padding in the tip
You’re right. Maybe there’s more material and reinforcement there too
@@Pointebrush yeah :)
Thank you for this information!
Love it! So informative
So glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
Thanks!
My pleasure!

@@Pointebrush Thank you for the reply! I know there is a flagship store in New jersey.
hi, I have 30 years old and will start on point shoes soon, do you recommend freed for beginners?

Oh thank goodness! I’m not a dinosaur then 🦕
@@Pointebrush hehe ☺
Whats a DV Wing?
If you see the “DV Wing” stamp on the sole it’s a Wingblock 👍
Thank you!
Freed of London?
Yes! It’s a ballet pointe shoe brand 😉 🩰
