I would be interested in a series, where you break down dance routines by different professional dancers. There are all these little differences and nuances that different dancers bring to the stage or rehearsal to make it work for their body and limitations or to challenge themselves. There'se so much to learn and I never grow tired of all the different combinations or nuances you can put together to one and the same movement. Hope you understand a bit what I mean 😄 Thanks for keeping us entertained and thanks for educating us on all the little details to think about when executing a certain movement. ☺️🙏

Thanks so much especially for the tips on hops... I have very flexible ankles and archy feet. Always struggled at it. Teachers often take one look at my feet and just say OK that's not for hops. So seeing you who is so flexible and with such archy feet doing it so well really gives me hope 😭😭😭❤️

This is so incredibly helpful for me as I am just starting out as an adult ballerina! I also really appreciate you taking the time at the end to talk about why it is important to revisit work and why you are critiquing a good performance. As a novice, I never would have picked up on your corrections, but that level of detail is what I love about ballet. Wonderful dancing and commentary! :)

When we shoot by ourselves, we realize how important it is to have another set of eyes to catch minor but important things to correct!👀(Some things are more of visual than technical.)
I wish I filmed myself more for checking when I was performing😅 or to have a good coach by side. But most of the case, you can’t be so nitpicking 😢 when you are in career due to time constraints (so many casts and schedule). I agree perfectionism doesn’t exist in live performances and we just need to learn to let go😂
btw your dancing is beautiful 💖🏅

At 8:53, maybe this is a stylistic choice and I see it done both ways at the professional level, but I prefer the low squared-off front attitude instead of a coup de pied front.

I love this variation so much and I want to compete it but this would be my first ever variation. Also, my dance instructor has VERY strong opinions on this variations and a lot of others. Would this be a good choice and if not which one would you recommend as a first? (Btw I’m 14, good at hops and grand allegro, and not as good with extensions and adage.)

how much does your own emotional connection to the character influence/affect the execution? I particularly liked the last few strident turns complete with messy hair....

It is unfortunate that most of the ballet world uses the awful arrangement of the music heard in this video when performing this solo. It seems that only the Mariinsky Orchestra (and a smal handful of others) that performs this variation in Riccardo Drigo's original, beautiful orchestration. Compare the arrangements heard in this video ua-cam.com/video/EQwYCiOInwo/v-deo.htmlsi=loBxitRRw760xY5X
