A skateboard film with Chris Haslam. ecologyst (formerly Sitka) built a mini ramp in the forest of Vancouver Island, BC. Into the Thicket chronicles the journey Chris Haslam and a few skateboarders trek into the forests of Vancouver Isle to skate a ramp constructed using the surrounding environment and few other materials. This film is inspired by the cult classic skate film cheese and crackers but set in the thick woods of Van Isle.
At ecologyst, we don't just choose one way to adventure and explore. We look for every way to have fun and get the most out of our day. Whether that's on a surfboard off the coast, hiking to a peak, climbing on Crag, or ripping trough a halfpipe on our skateboard. Ideally, we'd like to be in the middle of nowhere, or like in this video, immersed in the woods.

You should cut down like an acre of the trees and build a full skate park.

Is it hard to maintain and keep it clean from the tree sap and leaves? Thinking of building one in my backyard Forrest.

Not to bright to skate with a lantern in hand . If you fall it could start a forest fire.
