Taking care of some deferred structural maintenance on my outdoor shower area.

- A wonky initial build, some track hoe damage, and 20 years of South Louisiana weather has taken a toll on my little outdoor shower area. Trying to give my home a little love for a change, instead of pouring all of my energies on other projects. And as usual, a lot of scrimping going on.
Barry I'm with you, can't stand the cold. We have more of that cold coming next week as well. Your project came out looking great. Your frugal, and not a cheapskate. Have a great day.

I like that word, frugal. Maybe I can get my wife to use it sometimes. She mostly uses altered and diminished to describe me now, and I don’t think that is very nice.
Barry... i have a saying "Free is always better" most if not all the time you use the free stuff you get but in that off chance you get something and it doesn't work out, you can put it right back where you got it from(so to speak) and it is still Free. Amazing!
Love the rebuild, you did a good job. Watch the pennies and the dollars take care of themselves. Carry on good sir!
@@thaddeustroyer I have an old say almost like that...... If it's free it's for me!
Thanks Thad! I agree and especially agree with your second paragraph.
Barry
Also Barry have you tried Rapidset concrete? Not sure if that's what you used. But I watch a channel called Michael builds, he builds all things concrete.
That stuff sets and is ready to handle and move in an hour
That is the product that I was using. But if allowed to freeze before all of the mix water has reacted with the Portland cement the water will expand and the concrete will be forever damaged.
I think I squeaked by!
Brother I feel your pain about the pavers, I had 4 pallets in my back yard, every time my grandkids would come over that is what they wanted to play with the most. Forts, thrones, etc....etc... always had to pick them up and restack them before I mowed. The things we let our grandbabies get away with
Yup, whatever they want is pretty much what they get.
@@barrylukebuilds7894we both know that it’s better than the alternative, which is the kids being inside playing video games all day!
@@davidluke8460 100% agree!
Keep plugging away. Always more to do. Im doing the same stuff at my house.
Thanks John, Hopefully the guy you are following was not as reckless as the guy I am following!
Hi Barry, Did you do the brick walls yourself? Looks really really beautiful!! Best regards, Albert
Albert, I did not lay the bricks on the house. If I would have I would have just been finishing up. Thanks for watching and thanks for the kind words!
Barry
I’m a cheapskate, too. I hate spending money on new junk when I can make do with old junk.
Thanks Joe. Old junk and old guys rule!
