- An upcoming project will require moving a bunch of 1 1/2" thick hardwood planks out of and back into the house. Colin's hunting in the country so I am home trying to give him a little peace and looking for a project to keep myself busy. I don't need this now, but I will in the spring so let the fun begin!
That foldable handle is genius! Looking forward to the floor project. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Donnie! Us old folks have to look after our backs, right?
@@barrylukebuilds7894 For reals!
That's a big undertaking on that floor, knowing you I know you will get it done. The cart is just what I'm looking for, I need to move around about 25 railroad ties. I need to find me some wheels. Thanks for the video. We had 7 ½" of snow in Mobile, broke a 130 year old record.
Railroad ties are the worst! My assortment of bikes that I play with all come from the side of the road. Kids grow up and bikes get tossed.
Yes it will be quite a project but my bride has been a road block for quite a while. But when my son states that it should be done then all of a sudden I get a green light. Funny how that works.
PS
The snow was great!
Interesting cart. Should do well for that project. I appreciate your forethought and planning of these projects. As I get older I am seeing the value to planning things out well ahead. Look forward to seeing you redo that floor. Is there a sub floor below those planks, or are the planks attached directly to the joists?
Thank you Benjamin!
There are treated sleepers (2x2 if I remember correctly) fastened to the slab. The floor planks are fastened to the sleepers. I think the sleepers are sound, just the floor planks getting loose. I will know in a couple of months!
