    At least 24 people are believed to be dead and more than a dozen others remain unaccounted for as multiple wildfires, fueled by severe drought conditions and strong Santa Ana winds, continue to rage across Southern California, leaving fire crews scrambling to contain the historic destruction.

    California Fire Live: Los Angeles, the city of United States' California that is home to country's film and television industry - Hollywood - has been burning due to wildfires that started on Tuesday and have spread to engulf hundreds of houses, forcing the evacuation of thousands, including several celebrities. Los Angeles' Pacific Palisades, Pasadena and Altadena are among the areas majorly affected by the wildfires, some of which house celebrity residences. The fires had spread to the iconic Hollywood Hills by Wednesday evening.
    According to an estimate by AccuWeather and statistics compiled by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the wildfires raging in Los Angeles are the costliest fires to strike California in the last 45 years.
    They are expected to cause reportedly upwards of $50 billion in damages, reported Bloomberg.
