Exactly! I hate when I'm talking to my friends and they ask what I'm listening to, so I say rock. They are always like "eww heavy metal" It's not heavy! It's soft and calm sometimes!
This song was co-written by Billy Corgan (lead singer for The Smashing Pumpkins), Corgans influence is easily heard on this track in particular, as well as the track titled "Rain". Corgan also co-wrote the track titled, "Forget It". Just a cool, fun fact.

Yeah I don't listen to a lot of the bands I used to from this era because they can tend to be REALLY commercial and cheesy, but BB was an exception. They are masters of their craft.

R.I.P. Dude. I know how you feel. I fell in love with a girl that I only later realized that I was blind too. Best of wishes to you man and I hope you find someone right for you in the very near future

Crazy how this song resonates. I heard it on my first rough deployment in Afghanistan and going through a divorce afterwards in 2010. This song still hits heavy in 2022. It's beautifully deep.
beautiful and underrated song of theirs. It was co-written by Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, which is why it sounds so different to their usual stuff..
Every time i listen to this song it makes me think of her, i took her for granted and i was selfish . She gave me everything her poor heart had in its disposal and i just gave her some of it back. I really loved her and i saw a future with her , but at the same time i didnt see a future with her.I was just some stubborn idiot who had to dig up her past and confront it like a dumb looser who was jealous , looking back at it it just breaks my heart by the thought of how i treated her and now she is gone and life moves on but this is the consequences i have to live with and ive learned a big lesson . Sorry for my english and for this shi**y sobbing story but i just wanted too share this with my fellow bb fans! Rock on!
i don’t know what i did wrong, i gave my all to her, i took things i loved out of my own life to give more to her, i did the best i thought i could but it wasn’t enough for her, i don’t know what i did for her to hurt me the way she did, i don’t know what i did for her to lie, it’s been 3 years and i’m still hurting over the things she told me

It's weird how this song kills me every time I hear it. In the best way and in the worst way. "...Forget it, Just memories On a page inside a spiral notebook..."
same here. this song is the most beautiful song I've ever heard that I love from start to finish. there is no other song I truly enjoy to the last second like this one. I like it so much every time I listen to it
Me ex recently came back into my life after not talking to her for 7 years. We went out one night and made out, we still love each other, but the feelings aren’t mutual. I confessed my love for her that I still have, and she just doesn’t feel the same way. I need to move on, and this song is perfect in every way. I can think of her and how beautiful she is, and how she was everything I ever wanted, and how I can never have her again.
She comes back into your life to makeout with you but say she doesnt love you? Either shes lying and trying to hide her true feelings or shes just playing with your heart. Either way, you're right, you're better off with moving on, I've been there before and I just look back on the good memories, be thankful you went through them, you'll get even better memories as the years go on
I really can't even explain why I love this song so much. I just repeat it over and over for some reason. I can't get enough. Not many songs I have I replay it so many times.
This song brings a spell of nostalgia on me. It feels so cold and somber. The constant change of key within the song builds up tension and all of it suddenly releases at the end.
*when you find your ex's notes to you back from highschool several years ago in your dresser drawer, underneath your bed, in your closet, in your yearbook and in your memories*
I've been growing up listening to bb and when I was younger I didn't even understand the music but I loved the sound and then after a web I started paying attention to the lyrics and I love bb I will always love them
When I learned how to play this song on guitar, I was a young teenager who was just learning about music and basic theory in band because of school (keys, tempo, scales, time signatures, treble/bass cleff, key changes, etc..). I realized very quickly that this song has at least 3 or 4 key change, maybe more, I don't remember exactly. In a world full of 4 chord, repetitive, shit "rock" music, this song is such a relief. Show me 5 other rock bands from this kind of genre who has a song with at least 4 key changes, I dare you. Because you won't find even 3 popular rock bands from this time period who have done that.
This whole album reminds me of a time that’s long gone. For the best in a sense. But being born in 1998, man. It brings me farther back than my teenage years. Saginaw, Michigan. Man I can smell the fall autumn leaves falling with rain traveling right behind it. Weird. Two kids deep now. Just know my kids surroundings won’t be entirely like mine were when I heard this first when I finally had a conscience
I still love this song even though it brings back painful memories and makes me miss my ex wife smh but the past is the past and I still love this song no matter what

Damn I was watching Band Camp as it got put on netflix, and this fucking song from when I was about 15-16 and I loved it comes on.. I'd completely forgotten this song even exists. Got what a great time it was, songs like this just bring me back to playing runescape as a teen every evening after school til 1am.
I feel like having Flashbacks in Front of my eyes from Days when I was like 10 or 12 years old didnt have any Problems and then I just remember again im living in 2021 and in the current time and years like 2011 or 2010 are long gone and will never come back.

It's wild how music can bring long buried memories to the front. I remember being a sophomore in high school and being really sick and it was around Halloween and me and my grandmother was sitting in my room watching "the scariest places on earth" or something like that making fun of the people on the show while I listened to this on my cd player. Damn. That was 20 years ago. Brings a big smile to my face though, good times. Miss you mamaw.
Breaking Benjamin is a band that i enjoy, but it totally depends sometimes i just about only listen to them then i can go months without listening to there music. But a thing that consistently brings me back this band is American Pie Band Camp.
This song just shows that even the most aggressive rock and metal bands have a soft side, which isn't a bad thing! This is an amazing track

Really, wow.
It's a crime you let it happen to me
Never mind, I'll let it happen to you
Out of mind, forget it there's nothing to lose
But my mind and all the things I wanted
Every time, I get it, throw it away
It's a sign, I get it, I wanna stay
By the time I lose it I'm not afraid
I'm alive but I can surely fake it
How can I believe when this cloud hangs over me
You're the part of me that I don't wanna see
Forget it, forget it
Forget it, forget it
Forget it, forget it
Forget it, forget it
Forget it, forget it
Forget it, forget it
Forget it, forget it
There's a place I see you follow me
Just a taste of all that might come to be
I'm alone but holding breath you can breathe
To question every answer counted
Just fade away
Please let me stay
Caught in your way (forget it, forget it, forget it, forget it)
Just fade away
Please let me stay
Caught in your way (forget it, forget it, forget it, forget it)
It's a crime you let it happen to me
I don't mind, I love it, easy to please
Never mind, forget it, just memory
On a page inside a spiral notebook
Just fade away
Please let me stay
Caught in your way
I can live forever here
Just fade away
Please let me stay
Caught in your way
I can live forever here
How can I believe when this cloud hangs over me
You're a part of me that I don't wanna see
