BMW didn’t just add power to the Label, they tuned the suspension and a few other things like the transitions between gas/electric. It’s much more refined than the Base which suffers from not so smooth transitions and a slight delay when it transitions. It’s much easier to drive in comfort. It’s a pity they didn’t soften the suspension in comfort. You can get around $25k off so the on the road price is around $165k which is quite a bit less than a G Wagon which has less performance. People forget how hated the X6 was when it first came out and look how successful it’s been. I admire BMW for taking chances with this and I for one love it! 99% of cars on the road to day are just the same old boring enhancement of the same car from 15 years ago!
BMW should have just kept this thing as what it was always intended to be, an X8. Not even slapping the M badge seems to be moving these things. Sitting on the lots at my local bmw dealers. No, I don’t have sales figures, but it’s certainly not flying off the lots, over sticker, like G wagens.
The XM wasn’t meant to be a volume seller. It was made as a less expensive alternative to compete with the Urus, AMG G63 etc. It already outsells the Urus, I’m not too sure about the G63 though as sales #’s are really vague.
I thought the same, but then I saw one in person for the first time and sat in it at an auto show... and it had some serious presence. And the interior quality definitely felt like the best interior BMW makes. The lights in the roof were crazy too
@@myemailiscool I get that, it just doesn't do it for me. I see XMs occasionally and EQSs nearly daily. Haven't sat in either, but the exterior just doesn't do it for me, and the interior looks kitsch to me. I'm sure it's wonderful to be in, but it just... has no draw for me.
In Thailand, BMW offers XM 50e I6 3.0L PHEV 489hp, which is much cheaper than the standard V8 XM and XM Label. I don't think this model offers worldwide.
revisiting this thing a year or so later, i get it now. when you start thinking of it as an Urus competitor, i think they achieved what they set out to do. Its an over the top, super SUV in every way. now will people fork over the cash though for a BMW, we will see.
absolutely love the color. Was just wondering if the suspension crashes and the drivetrain does weird things like the original did? I don’t mind the looks for what it is; its supposed to be ridiculous. I think it looks better than a G63, but I might be in the minority. Great video ty.
Suspension is still pretty crashy. The 23" wheels don't help. BMW has gone through and re-tuned some things though to make the experience better overall. I didn't notice any weird behavior from the powertrain on this either. Overall it felt way more sorted than the 2023 non-Label I had earlier this year.
This is way better loooking than the G63 coming out the factory. Aftermarket companies like Brabus and Mansory always have to save Mercedes as usual to make their cars look more appealing.
Honestly it grew on me, especially in less flashy spec like this one, the only thing that i still can't get over is placement of those BMW badges in the rear, i know that it's a tribute to old M1 but it doesn't look good here, should've just added normal BMW badge in the middle of tailgate
ur easily not weird i always drive with everything in sport plus except the steering. comfort all the way. feels way better in any m car or bmw let alone
Someone would have to pay me to drive this 'thing'. Paying any amount of money (and I mean any) to do anything other than flipping it would be totally out of the question for me.
I think XM is a decent SUV for a not so good price. My nearby dealership get one there for a few months now and no one seems to be interested in it. They don’t even care to park it in the showroom, probably because people don’t find it appealing at all.
When I think about the XM, I think about how it could have been an actual sports car, being the first M specific car in decades. And yet they went with whatever the fuck this thing is.
Aside from saying you have it, I don't know why you would ever buy this when the X5M exists. It's honestly baffling. That said, I'm not the target market (I won't be able to afford this any time in the next 5 years) so what I think of it just doesn't even matter - but from a perspective of what you get for the price you pay...it's really not worth it IMO. It's a cool interior but BMW has honestly been killing it with their interiors in general so I don't even really think y ou get that much more from this car for the absurd premium you pay
i HATE how this looks... but the color makes it sorta acceptable.... but still, its a horrible design... better than the usual? yes... but still horrible

You arent getting 25k off….. the most is 7% which is about 13k
This car and the situation surrounding it almost perfectly describes the current state of BMW.

Ive already seen 2 in my country so I don’t know might sell.

They made tge sane mistake with the i8.
Very expensive and underperformed
@@Javonn143_It outsells the urus?????????? You must be delusional.
@@your-neighbor the numbers don’t lie lol
On paper, it's pretty amazing, but there's just nothing about this that makes me want it. Same feeling I have for the EQS.

Oh man I hope that person in the M3 CS is okay! But nice review!
The M3 CS is not. 😢
What happened
I hate SUVs in general but I actually like the way this one looks. Would never want for one, but don't hate it

That definitely sounds interesting and I can imagine that being a more reasonable option for most people.
I had no idea that was a thing!

Saw a ton of slating reviews on the previous XM, was curious how the Label Red would hold up great video!
The colour makes it softer on the eyes. I sudenly like the looks of the XM ... 😮
Seeing you drive it makes the car look like a ton of fun, way more fun than any SUV has the right to be.
That's a lie lol.
The car should be fun to drive. The XM looks much better in person and I love the color.

I’m gonna have to say you put your own individual label tapping that radiator support like that
love this car

combined fuel and electro, how far can you go until battery dries off?
I love this car actually. I dont get why it gets so much hate.
Reminds me of the green pigs from Angry Bird game.
What’s wrong with a interior being dark lol I feel like every time I had a sunroof I never opened it

Damnnnn is that Charlie in the crashed bmw
nah he just stopped to help/check on the person that crashed!

Do you not own the other channel?
I hate that this is a BMW but ignoring that element this is a great car
The thing with these hybrid and electric cars the battery is expensive to replace even up to $15000

Anglesey Green Metallic!
