Finally two car Journalists that understands what the XM is. So many others are stuck on comparing the XM to the X5M, which is pointless. The XM buyer isn’t just looking for a performance SUV, they want something that’s exclusive and makes a statement.

Dude i use to hate on this car but i saw one blacked out at a stop lights and it looks like a futurstic tank among peasant cars. Fell in love ever since. The interior ive always thought is just insane.

Please start showing us the HUD (heads up display). I like to know what info each car provides via the HUD. It is easily the best thing to happen to modern cars.
I think they are hard to get good video of. Very few UA-camrs show you the HUD, for whatever reason.

I think it's funny that the optional, yes optional, audio system had pairing issues with the phone. I mean what should we expect for 190k? Something that works... I'm glad you didn't edit the fact you had issues with it out. I'm sure you're not the only one who have problems with it.
I really think these cars are getting expensive because more people are leasing so car companies raised the price since they know theres plenty of people that will lease
Yeah because after rates went up leasing is cheaper in some aspects. Albeit leasing is still expensive for what it used to be

The outside is not pretty. It’s really cool in person but not good looking at all. Just different. The interior is amazing though Big but cozy. Saw one in a showroom and was blown away.
I love the bold design too. People who pay this much do not want a run of the will X5. The craziest thing is it's insane all around but you still can get 30 miles of EV range...
That gray exterior with black stripe is close to the tamest look for this XM. How this is related to the legendary M1 is one for the marketing department. Thanks for the review. I would not park the XM in the street in San Francisco or the throw pillow and Gucci bag are gonna be on eBay.

Looks like some designers in BMW are underpaid
Entirely pointless to me, but I understand why BMW did it. Basically the ultimate embodiment of M in an SUV format. They went all out on the outside, but the dash, steering, infotainment and material choice on the door section look tame compared to the rest of the vehicle's interior. They should have kept with the XM theme.
WOOT WOOT, 2 more years till the original owners return their leases, and i can get one for half the MSRP!
