Thanks so much for this video! My game was missing the fish (ugh) and I have been wanting to see how the real one worked so I could try to build my own. Is there some sort of metal plate or protective piece the striker hits on the back of the fish so it doesn't wear through or does it just hit the rubber fish directly?
No problem at all. Glad I could help somewhat. The striker does hit the tail directly and I am guessing that that is likely Factory. Seems a little odd but seems to have worked.
@@pinballshenanigans Interesting! I figured they might have had something on there but it's probably a pretty thick and durable rubber that fish is made from so it won't wear out too quickly. Thanks for the quick reply!
Just got my Fish Tales. Jeez that topper knocking is loud. I'll probably have to end up disconnecting the solenoid, because I'm a bit anxious about annoying the downstairs neighbors.
Thanks man. Just finished that one up. Came out very nice!! I posted a gameroom walkthrough video a while back. Line up has changed since then but that will give you a good idea...plus 40 more in storage :)
@@TiltingT ahh nice. Yes keeps the lineup fresh and keeps things exciting. Lots of fun projects ahead. just might take a lifetime to get through them all!
This video was just what I was looking for!! I love UA-cam and people like you who take the time.
Awesome thank you. Appreciate the kind words!

Yes exactly I had to remove mine because it doesn't fit but also because I didn't want to annoy the wife upstairs 😁
Just wondering ...What games do you have in your collection? That is a gorgeous Fish Tales too!
