Here after the fight got announced to rewatch the breakdown. Everyone knew this fight would take place a month or two before it was announced.
This might be the first time Max gets KO'd/TKO'd. He has taken a lot of hits already and Justin is one of the hardest hitters. Ferguson vs Gaethje 2 basically.
I feel u but max has recently evolved his game where he isn’t just volume fighting. He showed it in the Arnold fight. He is more calculated now which makes him more dangerous. Plus he is more skilled than Tony.

@@MrRobjs83i think justins only path to victory is kick the legs all he can. Justin never had the best boxing/footwork/headmovement/combos he's been more calculated lately but also hasn't been looking all that fast. He set up the porier headkick well but other than that he's 50/50 the past few years and even talked about retirement and this being his last run at the title so its really hard to think he just shows up and shows out. Also I think max would have a better chance at beating islam than justin. Justins bjj defense is non existent and we know max can keep fights standing and defend on the ground
Worst part here is, while Gaethje is older, Max is older in fight years. Dude doesn't need that kind of damage at this point.

Yes the way he ducks make me wonder why nobody has really utilized that. I think he ducks off at an angle witch is harder for the knees and uppercut. But definitely be the most effective tool against him if you timed it right. Problem is he's spending good a chopping your base down you are constantly moving and trying not to have a leg planted he can kick. He has the dense bones in all of ufc justin gatche and I think that density with the technique and timing is what makes him so hard a puncher and kicker with a 80 percent ko rate. Its wild

@@sairax132 Max was a great champion...at Featherweight. There is a very good reason Max doesn't fight at Lightweight though, that division is too big for him. Gaetje hurts other lightweights bad, he will destroy a Featherweight. I know Max is very skilled, but he doesn't have the power to match Justin. Max already takes too much damage in his Featherweight fights, if he goes against Justin it could send his career on a decline and get him KOed. Lightweight power is simply different than Featherweight and Justin is a true lightweight. Not to mention he has a lot of power even compared to most lightweights. Don't forget he took prime interim champ Tony and wrecked him for the remainder of his career, and Tony was a lightweight that could even fight at Welterweight, not a smaller Featherweight. Ortega and Rodriguez were featherweights that's the difference.

I heard Justin say they tested him at yhe ufc pi and he has the dense bones in all of ufc. I think that is why he's a smaller 155 but his statistics and people talk about how hard he kicks and hits. Between the two density and techniques create that brutal power. Witch leaves everyone with the ko. In the porier fight he looked like they were 2 different weight classes. Like porier was a 170 and justin is really a 145 truly. Like to see justin fight Volk instead of max. But ot will be a good fight. Any gatche fight is a good fight.

They can but I just seen on mma hour porier os walking around 173 and I'm pretty sure justin stays around164 They can get up to 180 no problem but if they get a short notice fight like they typically do at that level. So they choose to stay dieted and lean year round just on case of a title shot call 📞 or big payday. But i know that dustin use to get to 190 even. But the struggle to cut the weight off was tough and short notice fights were almost impossible to make without compromise.

Gaethje was a two-time Arizona state wrestling champion in high school and an NCAA Division I All-American wrestler at the University of Northern Colorado. No way max tries to wrestle. If he does, he is screwed especially against a larger guy up a weight class

Gaethje wrestling?! Yeah right. Since his first two fights, he’s been promising that he’s going to implement his wrestling as he did in wsof, and he’s never kept that promise once. He landed one take down against Fiziev, I don’t remember off hand how many legitimate TD attempts he’s had, but it cannot be more than 5 actual attempts across 12 fights. Which is insane. Once wrestlers get a taste of a KO finish, so many of them give up on what there best at. But in Gaethje’s case his striking has actually become better.
