    Hi there I'm in the process and trying to convince myself to buy the same Blue Rs3 2018 here in Canada just kms bit high it has 109k kms but unfortunately I cant justify the cost for one with lower kms. It had Audi care and I was told as long as they had there maintenance they are reliable car has lowering springs, CTS midpipes, but everything else is stock. I just hope the car was not modified and returned to stock.

    Hey dude congrats on the rs3, I have a Daytona grey 2017 rs3 aswell and I thought I would ask because you said you thought the gearbox was clunky. Do you find in lower gears especially 2nd to 3rd it really clunks around in low speeds?

    • @NewEnglandPete
      @NewEnglandPete  2 місяці тому +1

      Thanks! And yes, 2nd and 3rd are a little clunky. Nothing too bad… just typical dual-clutch behavior.

    1. Never buy sight unseen
    2. NEVER partner up with ECS they are the worst Chinese part drop shippers ever, (labeling Chinese parts as ECS and charging double), and customer service is horrible.
    3. Love your channel and everything and it’s awesome that you bought an rs3 , but a lot of the things you didn’t like you definitely would’ve noticed if you went to see the car.
    4. Can’t wait to see content on this car they are super fun, I myself have a 7.5 R and next car will definitely be a rs3

      Probably not. Too much work for such little return.

    Beautiful car right there, hoping I’ll be able to get an RS3 eventually. Bought a 2020 Q5 in October and I love it so much, could only imagine how an RS3 drives.

    Be careful about what brakes you buy on ECS unless you don't care about brake feel and performance. Honestly, you should just buy OEM. Additionally, I highly recommend Unitronic for any DAZA aftermarket parts and ECU/TCU solutions. Product quality is unmatched.

      I disagree on your first point, my experience with audi oem brakes has been less than positive. I can’t vouch for ECS and I don’t have an RS3 but aftermarket brakes were definitely the way to go on my S4.

      @@month352bouncy8I too don’t have a rs3 or a s4 but I’ve loved the OEM spec brakes like the Zimmerman rotor and akebono pad combo on my A4 s-line

    What do you do for work to afford an RS3?

    • @NewEnglandPete
      @NewEnglandPete  2 місяці тому +6

      FTE & UA-cam. I’ll even admit that UA-cam has really helped me afford these cars. Having partners for the channel is also a great way to drive in passive income too.

      @@NewEnglandPete are you able to write off car payments as business expenses for taxes?

    • @NewEnglandPete
      @NewEnglandPete  2 місяці тому +2

      I don’t write-off payments for the car… as it has split intended use (business/personal). I do log mileage for videos and write those miles off. I also write-off equipment (camera/automotive) and that helps out for sure.
