Visually very similar to the TR4, the gorgeous Triumph TR5 is a rare sight on the roads today due to just 1,161 being built for the UK market between August 1967 and September 1968.
Fitted with the straight 6 engine with Lucas fuel injection, the car produced 150HP and drove the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual gearbox with an optional overdrive being available. The car had a more modern car feel with servo assisted disc brakes at the front and rack and pinion steering.
Our car, registered in March 1968, is finished in British Racing Green and presents itself beautifully. It is fitted with the optional overdrive and has 15" chrome wire wheels.
Subject to a high quality restoration with documentation and photos some 5 years ago the car is still very sharp with superb gaps and a nicely detailed engine bay. The interior has black vinyl seats with black carpets and a black hood - all are also in great condition.
On the road the car performs very well and emits a lovely roar withe the roof down. The overdrive works well and the steering and brakes feel good, an electric cooling fan has also been added to aid cooling in todays heavy traffic.
These cars have quite rightly become one of the favourite British classics and recent auction prices reflect this.

The paint is like glass..They have 1 amazing detailer working there that's for sure..resto is pretty damb good also..this garage is rapidly becoming my favourite sorry 4 star classics.

Believe it or not, air conditioning was available but I've never seen a TR 4 that had it. It would make it a ton more valuable if it had an original system.
Had one, for my 21st birthday. Mine was yellow. A custard road rocket. Wish i still had it. I wonder where it is now? TGW 639F
Has a cheeky look on the DVLA and that registration number is taxed, so it is still out there somewhere!! Maybe we should start a 'Cars Reunited' website??
