I think you’re overdue for another $1000 budget 4WD challenge, who else wants to see a $1000 car travel Australia!
Jocko will have the $1000 hilux rebuilt and out soon cant wait to see that....
I wanna see them take an old Subaru Outback across the Outback.
@@Noises Still a change from watching 6 figure vehicles
$5000 challenge that includes car, vehicle mods and camp gear
USE A MODIFIED SUBARU BRUMBY UTE LOL OR MINI MOKE WITH A 4X4 CONVERSION
I love my Drifta stuff. I use it and rate it highly. But, I’m waiting for Shaun Whale’s storage and camping secrets. So far all I’ve seen is an infomercial for Drifta.
The secret is to get Drifta sponsorship.
yeah 100 percent
Did he not endorse a bunch of products he uses for storage? Lighten up a bit.
But it was a good one I’ll give them that.
Fight me then

my man
Products I wish I saw more often were options for the minimalist/compact adventurers. Multi-use items, ultralight gear, carbon fiber and aluminum over steel. Being able to sleep in the back of an 80 series with all the gear you need is something I've been trying to accomplish as opposed to heavy utes, roof top tents, back full of drawers, and trailers. I'd love for you to do a video/series on something like that.
Agreed!
Yes certainly
Great idea for a video.
I have a Drifter fold up wooden kitchen in my camper trailer bolted to the swing out tailgate,,,,, can vouch Drifter set ups,, used for years now and never had a problem
the kitchen box that luke came up with about 20 years ago .. now that was a game changer
888johnmac that’s the one I want to build.
Bring that gear over to USA.
Great stuff your building. Love supporting Australian companies.
things I build check out Kakadu camping in Canada 👍 they stock some Drifta gear that gets down into USA
They export all around the world. Just check out the Drifta website. Great value for our US cousins now too as the Aussie dollar is so low.
Wish you guys shipped to Spain. You Aussies are really lucky to have your nature and all your gear and options to enjoy it. Beautiful
I’ve been using Drifta gear for years now, their gear has made my families camping experience so much better. Glad to see they are getting some exposure as luke and the team deserve it 💪
Good thing you're helping out the local family business Shauno.
Fantastic products ! Last forever and Aussie made, something we all need to be supporting especially in these tough times.
They are top quality products but not all of the products are Australia made.
I love my Drifta cooking equipment! It brings so much extra joy in what I do! It's hard to think now what I was doing before haha Rock on Shauno and Drifta!
Have a full custom Drifta drawer setup in my canopy best money ever spent and the nicest most professional company I’ve dealt with in a long time
Love our Drifta drawers as well in the BT50.
Loved also the excellent auto electric work they did to fix our dual battery setup for the fridge etc and also the water tank they installed behind the drawers. Top job, works perfectly and customer focused staff. 👍
How much did it cost, and how long did it take you to fit. I’ve just fitted two Titan drawers plus wings to my hilux, it took 4 hours for 2 people. They cost me $460 plus $160 freight plus time for 2 people. They are really good but are Chinese made. From now on I will I only buy Australian made.
@@garrynorth6199 probably 2,500 bucks
Good to see Drifta going so well; good on ya boys. Need some new bits for the 80. Love the charcoal starters, they work a treat.
We have used the same Trangia cooking equipment for 40years. We started using it when we used to go on camping trips in the canoes. It packs up small and is indestructible. Also it comes with the burner that runs on Metho with 10% water and will cook anything.
Love my Drifta Drawer systems. Have one in a LRD4 that's made it much easier to store gear. About to have another set of drawers and DSS fridge slide added into my dual cab ute. Thanks Drifta, love your gear.
Would love to see a $5000 camping/4x4 setup video for those on a budget! We are starting from scratch with a pretty stock standard older model Amarok and the very basics in camping gear and have $5k to spend to get us as setup as possible for a cape trip. What’s important & what’s not? 👌🏻⛺️
Drifta gear is pretty awesome. I use it kayaking, 4wding and camping. Some of it is on the expensive side, but a lot of it is priced pretty well. They are innovating and thinking all the time......started out in a garage as a one man operation, now employing over 70 people in a small country town, manufacturing products using Australian made raw materials. What's not to like!
Gore-met. Love that Qld education and pronunciation.
I reckon that i will probably order some of that stuff to get my 80 getting ready for my trip to coffs harbour. Awesome video
Highly recommend to shop around - same products Drifta has imported can be easily sourced from other local providers at a fraction of the cost.
can you post a few links??
Drifta make some awesome gear👍🏼 I couldn’t go camping without a fridge these days. I remember buying ice at every town and having food floating around in the esky.
Omg love the vid, but you can tell which ones been on the camera more, good on ya kydo.
Kaito 👍
Was very happy to see that drifta products are all Aussie made well done
Bought the Drifta medium Fire pit. awesome bit of kit. packs down really well. its not the same one you saw in the vid. Its their own one that they made. I was looking forward to buy their camper trailer but saddly their not making them anymore. Great to see another Australian made stuff
The Drifta draws do look absolutely awesome. That table built into the draws is so good!
getting me some Drifta help the local economy, nice review, cheers a heap for this.
Another great vid Shauno, Drifta is the best
Some of the comments? This clip is promoting an Australian company and Australian products....Fair go.... without sponsorship there would be NO show... keep doing what you are doing guys and I hope companies continue to support 4x4 action and be fair this show promotes expensive and cheap gear...
Well said.
Gor...met..? really Shauno. Just spent 40 minutes on the Drifta site now i got a list of 22 "must haves"....Bugger! Number one for me though is the fire Pit in a flat bag, great idea. Gotta have a fire!
me too just added to my never ending list of stuff...
Great info. I'm definitely going to be putting some of these items to work on my channel.
Wow that drifta fire pit is perfect for what I want thanks will deffs check it out
You asked about my favorite camping gear? Well, here in the USA, we don’t have nearly as much great gear as you do in Australia, and when I saw your Bedourie, I had to have one! Unfortunately shipping to the states was not an option, so I had a cousin in Brisbane buy it and ship it all the way to Arizona! We use it all the time and love it! I may be putting in a Drifta order next since the ship to the USA!
Bedourie spun metal was invented because they found the cast camp ovens would get cracked in the rough going.
I have tried to contact Drifta. Never heard back from them.
Awsome video mate love seeing the setups!! Giving me ideas for my 80 💪 I'm over in New Zealand 🇳🇿
Good stuff. Thank you👍
Good ole Aussie ingenuity. Great video thanks guys.
All them products look awesome 👌👌
Hello from Dayton Ohio. Hopefully you guys are safe from the storm coming your way.
Yes indeed, Australians are becoming very good at new camping innovations. Who knows, maybe in a few years they just might even catch up with the South Africans!;)
And what? Start hunting lions elephants and hippos?
pity you dropped the world cup
Awesome video, and insightful. Thanks.
Some smart gear there... Will definitely invest in some. Particularly that fire pit, pot set and those bags !!
Can get a much cheaper version of that fire pit, unless you wanna pay 600 bucks for a bit of metal lol
Yes you can but it's not as good quality as snow peak.
Snow Peak is awesome gear, but forgot it's Japanese made.
krump 7 you pay for what you get
@@jjjtabberton3718 oh do you... i guess all those snow peak fire pit grills out there that are rusting must be kinda annoyed to pay such an expense only for it to rust. Would expect better for nearly 600 bucks.
Love the tips about those Drifta bags for storage etc 👌
My dad always made a kitchen setup like that with every van he customized for personal use. My grandfather did the same when they went camping.
Great videos champ, its all about learning ,these kitchen boxes been around for years in america , good to see it taking of here in oz, my rig is a 2008 gu wagon gen 5 dx zd30 ,go on laught ,LOL got 256.000ks and still going strong, had it dyno tuned at 100.000 ,3 inch exhaust ,stage 1 turbo, egr blocked ,dawes valve boost controler, putting out 146kw at the rear wheels, engineered as a 2 seater panel van , 1700mm long rear draws in back, gvm upgraded to 3650kg, I drive installed for some extra grunt and crawl control as shes built for beaches and dunes, 3 inch lift kit superior engineering 33 inch AT
Kits are just so cool for camping. Nice gear.
I've been living in Japan for about 6 months now. but now stuck here due to covid. Their camp selection is beyond Australia's inventions I might design and create my own camp setup when I get back.
What items in Japan have blown you away?
My number 1 camp tool is a traditional kukri I bought in Nepal, makes kindling out of any log it's an absolute beast. And the best buy was a set of compact pots from aldi for less then $15 still has the non stick surface after 2 years of bashing around the back of the truck.
The one gear I always have on me consist of multiple gear which is my black tote. Has all my cooking needs plus a Swiss gear tent or schwag as you like to call it ready to go anytime 🤙
All these products looks GREAT and functional.
South Africa will be a great place to sell these Products from Drifta.
With all our SUNSHINE every weekend is a camping opportunity... 🤠
You only have sunshine every weekend?
Shauno, Nice work. This company is the salt of the earth. Great products...
That firepit is awesome! We’ve had one for a while and love it! Got a few canvas bags on order from Drifta right now. 👍
I found out a few weeks ago that there is a western Australian store 😍😍
Definitely can’t wait to visit a store for the first time
a hundred percent:). Looks awesome, I wish I had some of this stuff years ago!
Happy to see Aussie businesses having a go and am more than happy to support them - so will look at these products and more on their websites. I'm confident in thinking companies like Drifta give honest to goodness and dinkum after sales service on their products right? Cheers, DD
my metho compact stove ive used since i was 21 going to motobike rallys and this is great 2 pots a frypan and a kettle which all packs into a little pack to fit on a bike but you can still cook up a storm or a cuppa with a bit of metho... i love it
My Oztent 5 really changed my style of touring in my 105. Drifta made the replacement bag I store it in because like all tents, regardless of price, the factory bag sux balls. Now it goes on the roof regardless of the weather, no probs.
I have an Outback Canvas Touring tent, bought it 23 years ago, still in the original bag. Australian made of course.
A little portable charcoal BBQ, used once and haven't gone camping without it since
Digging these short videos!
Yess another Video
I know it’s all a commercial but some of it is is a must have.
My favourite camping item is the milk crate bag by drifta.. such a great simple idea..
I really like the Malamoo XL tent for it's extremely quick set up and the size of it when its packed away.
Drifta 👌🏽👌🏽
Great vedio wanted to see this so badly
I really wish we had these places near me 👍👍 excellent stuff
I love me a Drifta product that’s for sure 🇦🇺👍🏻
Great vid 👍
Thank you
Sorry guys, I do not understand your critics! There is no free lunch in the world ! And Shaun would not be Shaun if there would not be some sort of income for him. In my books Luke has done an enormous job building up his company and developed all such nice products. Developing products cost also in OZ money Ok! Australian canvas too. For sure everting can be cheaper made one way or the other copying and using less quality material. Nothing wrong with less quality products and lower price’s, as long as it serves your individual purpose. It comes all back to your budget and willingness. Spending the hard earned cash for top quality and support local businesses vs. overseas factories and middle men and warehouse companies specially in such difficult period of time never experience before. Cheers
Kuhl wind tent! ⛺️ 💨 Our Cali deserts can be brutal! Commercial pop up tents always doin cart wheels out into the yonder blue wild. Will test this.
People that complain about 4wd action making a 10 minute ad that they have to watch are bad people.. 4wd action gives us epic FREE content for FREE they can show me as many ads as they want.
You are choosing to watch this remember.
Ronny seems to manage with out this sponsored stuff
@@4x4CampingandAdventures Rubbish. He plugs stuff just at much. They all do.
Bit of reflecta tape on the bags would be mint to 👌
i have a old deep fry / pot from Canadian army ww2, i have been using it for 50 years, its the best kit have ever seen , you can use it as a covered pot or cook eggs on one side bacon on the other ect , it stores all cooking eating gear.
Saludos desde Chile
Have drifta drawers in my stx 550 nav. Full length drawers hold soooooo much gear plus there is a ton of storage space behind the tubs wheel arches for recvery gear and tools/spare parts etc
Love your vids mate. I do hate the "infomercial" feel they have but I understand the need to pay door your awesome content.
This makes me wanna have an 4wd
Now that’s a long list but I would put my shed made 30ah battery pack in my essentials. Can’t beat a bit of back up power in a portable unit. Gets a work out in the tent for lights and kids gadgets. Way cheaper than shop bought options. 👍🇦🇺
My preference of setups is titan drawers and wings, custom fridge cage around the built in fridge slide. Dual battery setup on the side of the fridge with an emu wing window for access to the dual battery setup and even a travel buddy in there.
Esperando otra aventura pronto!
Saludos desde Panamá.
Did you really say "gor-met"?
That's when he went to the ballet with the valet, ate sorbet at the cafe....🤣
Kinda reminds me of the engineer for Fabian Coultard at last year's Bathurst..."DEBRISSS...DEBRISSS...DEBRISSS. We don't know where it is".....hahahah
Obviously not a 4x4 Action follower...
@@defjam2026 nailed it. just a blow in.
Yeh. Gormet horse doovers.
How good will your van smell after cooking by the open boot
it does come legs for standalone setup
Everytime he says 100%
Have a full can of Iron Jack
You'd be dead before the end of the video!
S T #100%
💯
I bought a slab of Iron Jack for my local mechanics and they wouldn't drink it. They wanted Coopers Pale Ale. Now I know what to buy if I ever want a beer when I visit them - Iron Jack, I know it will still be there in the fridge!
@@p38arover22 as S T said drink a stubby of Coopers, If it's a heavy! You'd be dead (💯) percent.
Great video Shauno !! Well done as always mate...very clever with design and storage etc !! Thanks again !! Goormet Meal ?? Gourmet as in Gormay ! Sorry !!
My favorite, can't camp without it, item would have to be the BioLite Basecamp that I bought off a guy a few years back. Still new in package, dusty as hell lol, but more than worth the $80 bucks I bought it from the guy for! Check out their gear if you have a chance, y'all might like that stove given how you talked about open fire regulations.
very nice.
Me and my cousin knocked up our own drawer systems and fridge sliders for the backs of our land rovers and currently doing some modifications to them to make them work even better for our needs
My drifta canopy set up is on its way!! Can’t wait to fit it to the new alloy canopy
Yep 100%
You should have a go in the 79 series next drive.👍
Awesome, I love this stuff!
I agree 👍
WHAAAAAAAT? .. DID WE JUST BECOME BEST FRIENDS?!? Holy Crap this is crazy good stuff, I want one of everything !
Great products, versatile, compact, long lasting......AUSTRALIAN MADE!!!!..........that last one should make people think a bit harder about where they spend there money.
That fire pit isnt aussie made. Nor is the igt table, nor the cook set.....
Great wrap for a great local Aussie company. Well done Shauno 🇦🇺👍👌
Sand mats, the types that let sand down through the mat but not up the other way, best thing since sliced bread, only got introduced to them a few months ago, so good! much less sand in the swag, great for sandy WA
I really like the look of that firepit and the pots. Hmmmm, must check out the budget.
Love my Snow Peak...
The draws would be so useful when going gold prospecting, but so impractical to pull in and out, as we need the 6th seat most times when we take the tribe camping.
That kitchen tho looks good, would make cooking that so much easier.
i just want to move to Australia, so much new gear available
we're full.
I am a big fan
