Derek’s grief around the plane crash was understated I think. Mark and Lexie were both siblings to him. They could’ve really gone in with his guilt surrounding Mark and how their relationship was bad at the end, but I feel like they focused more on Callie’s grief
No one really grieved her death. Like it was so weird. Everyone seemed okay. I really thought it would mean more to the show. I feel like they killed them off so quick too. And I don’t think Mer should’ve just left her sister to go look for Derek maybe it was the shock
Lexie would've been The next Derek Shepherd or even the First Lexie Grey, the best neurosurgeon the world has ever seen. But instead they killed her arc
@@0neAmongBillions I think you’re right but they didn’t have to kill her. Like the actress who played Christina wanted to leave and they gave her a nice ending without death. But I guess the writes wanted to truly build off of Lexi and Mark departure. With Christina they couldn’t really do much except for drop her name occasionally a few episodes after.
yall, imagine if it was the grey sisters? mer wanted to go into nuerosurgery, but it wouldve ruined her and dereks relatinship. but just imagine if it didnt. mer wouldve became THE best neurosurgeon, and lexie would be learning under her!
@@lunarialoonatic Yeah she talked about it to Nathan her dad Maggie once and Christina. You would think she would want to mention her sister who died. But idk. If you watched season 17 her reaction to seeing Lexie was extremely anticlimactic
I love how protective and mentor like Derek is of Lex, he just takes her under his wing cause he’s had four baby sisters and it’s second nature to him. And she’s in awe of him but there are times she gets spunky and yells at him when he acts dumb. Their friendship is underrated 😍😍😍
It’s the fact that he is the reason Lexie and Mer bonded cuz girl was stand-off ish the whole time til Derek said Mer, she’s your sister. And even then, but Derek started bonding and Mer just followed I guess
I didn't like Derek but this relationship was cute. Also why didn't they ever touch on Derek's grief about her? Lexie was his other little sister and they never talked about it and it made me sad
When I look back at the plane crash they could have shown a lot of character development mentally with Derek in regards to Mark and Lexi. They also could have shown a lot more of Derek’s life . They could’ve shown his family being there for him after the plane crash or being there for Meredith after his death. I know Derek had a lot of sisters but only one of them was there for Meredith
Lexie would’ve such good aunt alongside Maggie and Amelia. Derek would’ve been so happy that Amelia found love with Lincoln and they would’ve bond so much just by being fathers. MY HEART HURTS😭
2:48 lexie saying julia's hair is very thin and this can be a symptom of early menopause is my favorite jealous lexie scene like girl what was that about 😂😂😂😂
its the little comments they say to each other that really make them siblings. lexie is dereks 5th sister and had a really good relationship. i wish they had more time
I honestly sorta kind of prefer the dynamic Lexie and Derek had compared to Lexie and Meredith. Then again I'm a sucker for wholesome sibling relationships, which explains why I also loved Carina and Andrew.
The thing is shows like this are doomed to lose in the long run because no matter how much character development or relationships are established in the plot, there will be misunderstandings between the actors and directors and writers, and of course the actors will eventually look for greener pastures. The only reason this show is still alive right now is because Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, and James Pickens Jr. have dedicated their life to it. Their whole lives.
I always wonder what would happen if Lexie didn't die, but instead just move to another state to do her residency/fellowship. I would always wish they didn't kill Lexie and just let her move to another place because of an amazing opportunity she can't easily back out on, like what happened with Penny and the Preminger Grant Research thing. So that she could come back as someone who is alive, like Cristina, and Izzie.
When I first started watching the show I had already know that everybody was going to die because it was spoiled but I thought Derek would have died before lexie and mark
Whenever I see lexie's scene it made me so happy and when they show her dead, it gives me immense pain in stomach. I know she is just a fictional character but it just hurts to know that she is DEAD 😭😭😭😭
