But the way they did it went back on ALLLLLL the character development we had seen from his character. He should have respected the life and relationship he had created with Jo. The promises he had made to her and the vows he had made to her. She deserved so much better than him disappearing on her and then eventually writing a half assed letter saying he has gone to live with Izzie. Izzie left him just like that. No explanation, no respect. Just because things have changed for you, doesn't mean you get to just throw everything away without looking back. He married Jo. He promised her a life, love, family. After everything she'd been through, everything he had seen her go through....he should have done better.

We watched him fall in love with Jo for years, knowing her abandonment issues, abuse and everything, and they made him a coward who didn’t have the decency to tell his WIFE that he was leaving her. Disgraceful.
I found that part particularly funny 😂😂😂, only because they were all just joking around and even April was smiling 😂😂😂also funny that as Cristina said that, Alex was already taking off his coat like he was taking off his clothes jokingly
i’m still so mad that cristina gave alex her shares of the hospital and the spot on the board but they gave it to bailey instead AND the way they had alex leave the show it was so out of character😭

I love how they go from him recoiling from her support and friendship when Izzie left, to her asking to be his roommate, to Alex opening his heart and being vulnerable and confiding to Cristina about his feelings for Jo. I didn't realize what a sweet friendship Alex and Cristina share.
My favorite running gag in this show is that all of Alex’s girlfriends have some kind of physical/mental trauma so every time he gets in a relationship he knows it probably won’t end well. It’s funny but sad at the same time. Also side note remember when we all hated Alex Karev? Yeah, me neither.
I love the scene where Yang and Karev are chatting in bed. Meredith is like their mother, teaching them how to be emotionally supportive to each other.
Is it just me or when Meredith told Christina to give Alex a hug, did it sorta seem like Alex sat there and looked at Christina like a sad “I’m waiting”
Those two were the REAL SPICE to GA! Just sublime! Game changing actors! So raw, so free, so mezmerizing - everytime, everywhere, everyway! I still LOVE GA post Alex and Cristina but it was another world back then! It was like sky isn't even the limit! We're so blessed to have had them so long in that glorious story of GA!❤️

I love so much when Alex tells Cristina "You have to forgive me!", because it's so similar to when you and your siblings don't get along and they drive you crazy, but you still love them even though you hate them. In his mind, they have to forgive him even if he screws up, because they are his family, and that's what family does.
Alex ended up with his first love Izzie, the girl who made him human, and his kids. Is that bad? Jo got hurt, true, but she will find joy with Link, who is also very nice

among the OG (M.A.G.I.C) Alex is one so relatable. His arc is one of the best, from being a total jerk, to one of the best pediatric surgeon out there. Kudos to Justin Chambers for the amazing portrayal of this tough shelled but soft hearted character.
alex is so relatable because no matter what i do my whole life everyone hated me like they hated alex. they don't talk to him unless they're being rude, they don't invite him to christmas parties, they don't let him move in, they all call him a jerk and then make friends with him and then call him a jerk again

My headcanon is that Izzie lied about Alex being her kids' father and he finds out then leaves her, comes back to Seattle, is all HI MER GUESS WHAT! is a complete broken mess but it all ends happily ever after with him and Jo back together. (I haven't gone beyond season 17 yet so I don't know what's happening with the Jo/Link thing - more relationship musical chairs 🙄), and though I loved Izzie, she could be incredibly selfish and destructive so this feels more in character with her than Alex just cutting and running from Jo. Urgh what I would give for this to be a thing!
