Beautiful. Nostalgia invoking yet again. I feel as if we're all from 2049 but were transported back in time with our minds wiped. That's the strength of nostalgia.
Hey man, could you make more videos similar to this? Getting scenes from the neon-retrofuturistic world and similar synth music and making music videos? I'm addicted to this one video but I'd love to see more.
Hey TheBasicHeim! I'm glad you like the video! I usually make a video when I find a song I like and have an idea for a video. I'll probably make another soon, depends if I find more songs! :)
it is not a replica, it is a sequel that takes the question of humanity to the next level. since blade runner, we have been asking our ethics: "if humans can replicate life as robots, do we have the right to enslave them? "When does living become being alive? 2049 sets many new steps in this etic question, like how much is life worth at all. Like the main actor cannot feel anything, only love a person who is not real, but tell him to love him. Does he know it's all in the programme? does he think he's special? or does he love the pain of knowing it? the solution is the key scene when his girlfriend dies and he meets the same model who asks him "are you lonely?" that epic moment you get clear about "he is human but feels nothing, a robot feel nothing but want to feel" what makes it more human then the wish to be human. Second, the first Bladerunner character fall in love with the robot and a child is born from this relationship (I think this is a little cringe) but the question is : if we produce robots and these robots produce life (since you can clone babies etc) is the child then human or robot? what rights would this child have ? these are ethical questions, we have to answer sooner or later. read a little about AI and you will find articles about the singularity, the moment when AI is more intelligent then the human. it will be in 20 years from now.
I remember watching this video back in 2019 and discovering synthwave for the first time and I've always listened to this genre of music because I like it so much. I watched bladerunner 2049 yesterday and I wish they had some synthwave or chillwave tracks in the movie, they put so much effort into building a brilliant, dystopian cyberpunk world but there was no synthwave :C. The movie had great visuals.
it seems i come here again. hi, i live in tokyo and love listening to this while watching the city lights. i don't know why it makes me so emotional. the matching of music and graphics are amazing. thank you so much for uploading this masterpiece.
Thank you very much! I had Tokyo in mind when I was creating the video and wanted to get that vibe of being in the city by focusing on most of the neon scenes in the movie, hence the title "Neon Nights". I've never been to Tokyo but would love to visit!
This clip shows that the original Blade Runner is the best and that no one should try to replicate it ! - Just as no one can Re-Paint the Mona Lisa ! -
Ryan Gosling always makes sitting alone in a car or cruising look cool.
trure
Can't get over the visual breakthrough this movie achieved, incredibly underrated and under appreciated
This song reminds me of playing on my Sega when I was about 10 -14
OMG I'm crying 😭😢

I just re-watched this video while listening to "Blade Runner Blues" by Vangelis.
I highly recommend it...
this should be way more popular a video jeez
Realy like it, it gives incredible vibe as if you're really Blade Runner 2049. They could put this track into the film

Awesome job. Can you make a fan trailer Ghost in the Shell movie from 2017 and Blade Runner 2049 ? As if it looked like one movie.
NISHE!!!!
Who is the name of the artist.
The artist is called HOME and the track is called "Hold". Here is the song: soundcloud.com/home-2001/hold
Syxius Thank you.
In 2077 what makes someone a criminal ❓
Getting Caught...
Will you die K or Joe?
This music is way too light and upbeat for blade runner. It's just generic synthwave sort of stuff. It's not dark cyberpunk.
