Likely going to be another year before we actually see the camera, R6 MKII is simply too young and too good. Fully stacked sensor at the mid level body would be great, but I reckon that would likely increase price and eat into R5 MKII sales depending on the R6 MKIII performance.
If canon released an ‘R4’ with the c400 sensor and high end video specs to compete with the fx3 they would instantly be back in the race and potentially leap frog Sony in video. It’s astonishing that they outright refuse to compete with the most popular video Cameron on the planet.
Canon Rumours has been making their money/clicks for the past 3 years off rumours about the R5II and R1. Of COURSE the day after those cams were announced they went straight to the R6III rumours. Yes, the R7II will probably cost more, with all that goodness packed into it. However, keep in mind that this is their flagship, "pro" APS-C camera, the 7DII filled that role ten years earlier, and that sold like hotcakes in spite of costing $400 more than the R7!
It's funny, with pretty much every new video I see, from every UA-cam photography channel... I mean with videos for the new R5 Mk II, or the new R3 or R1, or the R6 Mk III... I go to post the comment, "How about an R7 Mk II already" ? ...but then i see, someone already beat me to it, and they have gotten like 27 likes ! I guess im not the only one ?!
And then, their is always the guy who couldn't care less about a crop body, and can't believe anyone else cares either, and he also feels the R7 is the most worthless piece of garbage Canon ever produced 😀 lol
Gotta' love the Internet 🙂
Canon ! Are you freaking def or what ? R7 Mk II !!!
Or are you going to make 27 more FF's first ? Who's running this circus anyway ?
Feels like the same folks running this country ?
Absolutely insane 🔥🔥
Now a R7 that competes directly with the FX30. Video first, with fan and improved cropped sensor for low light with Clog2
Love the quick change of the video title 😂
Canon cameras are starting to all sound the same. "Try this one, 24mp, shoots a gazillion frames per second. It's replacing the one that was 24mp and shot a gazillion frames per second. Not interested in that one? How about this other one? It's 24mp and shoots a gazillion frames per second. Can't afford those? Try this budget full frame. It's 24mp and with the electronic shutter it shoots a gazillion frames per second."
lol
I’m completely ok with canon on the somewhat “iPhone” release schedule, makes everything so much cheaper. Either getting a r6 mark ii or r5 this fall
Thanks Jared, like the sound of the R6 mk3, but not happy to hear the first words from dp review about not so good dynamic range on R5 mk2, I'm a landscape photographer so you can see where I'm coming from?
if you're out and about without a tripod I can definitely understand your concerns, but if you do use a tripod you could just go for the triple exposure (HDR) method :)
@CivilStig I shoot the 3 shots hand held with the frame rate set to 20fps. It's so fast. I've done it with people and pets too for sunset photos. Lightroom takes care of the rest. My camera doesn't have a mechanical shutter so most of the time the photos come out great. I've had some bad ones. Too much movement. But overall yeah easy to do handheld.
@@bailey.nt86 With the insane IS/IBIS combo these cameras have now I couldn't tell you the last time I bothered with a tripod. I just shoot wide enough so that everything has room to align when I combine it together. I have hit 2sec exposures handheld at 24mm on an R5. Granted that was me pushing it as hard as I could for a test, but still, 2 out of 3 shots were just fine.
Love the videos
Sadly the wife doesn't like you because of one comment you made but u always find your videos funny and informative
Keep going ! Can't wait to see what's to come
I'd really love to see you try your hand in a genre you're not completely comfortable with and possibly would love to see a. Video of you getting the best of the best with honors cityscape shot
Because I get you love action but I'd love to see what Jared could do if you took time on a composition 😊
what comment if I may ask 👀
@CivilStig so there was a video of him at the zoo and he was testing a lens I believe and there was an older couple you could see using a disposable camera to take pictures of the gorilla and he made a comment along the lines of " ha look at your camera that's not going to get you close enough" or something to that
She was definitely not a fan from that point forward lol
She just thinks he's a little cocky and judges too quickly
@@JamesBurton-l3o I can understand your wife's POV. maybe the comment was made in a sarcastic or joking manner? idk but that's what I'd imagine
@CivilStig it Definitely was in my opinion. But it Definitely left her not liking him , though in the podcast she will let me listen just to see what Stephen has to say 🤣
I personally find Jared funny in the sense he reminds me of my wife's grandpa; a little blunt with a decent amount of sarcasm and good amount of self confidence, which in itself are great quality but he can be a little over the top sometimes lol
Where as Stephen is more laid back and more humble I love how their characters clash and makes for some good conversations.

But just a normal Website would be a "personal blog" no?
the a7v isn’t even rumoured yet, i really don’t think it makes much sense to update the a7iv competitor
R3 -> R6III R1 -> R3II R1II -> something we all expect. Rumour has it that R5II preorders like hot cakes, but R1... noone seems interested
Dear Canon, what about a global shutter ffs???
Pre-capture in the R6M3 and I will upgrade.
A blog is a publication in general and an editorial venue in some cases.
that's why I suggested you start your own.
@@froknowsphoto I had one. But I didn't make money from it!
Because they failed to keep up with the competition? As an original R6 owner, I'm glad I passed on the mark2
Good thing I just got an R6 mk II
Lol me too
same )))
Can we get more info about R5 mark II body size speciations. How much larger is it then mark I? I’m asking because I have a full camera cage, with grips and everything else and I’m trying to find out if it will fit the R5 mark ii.
Excellent news . The R6 mk2 will drop in price.
It already has been dropped $500 with the Canon special.
@@1982mako224 And I hope for another drop. The camera is not cheap sadly even at 2500euro . Especially when its just a hobby and I wont make money using it.
If they shrink R3 to R6 III and provide a sliver top old looking, I won’t blink my eyes.
Slight improvement of megapixel would be better.
“UNITED!” “LAUNCH!” “ALLIANCE!”
Still rockin' the original R6. No need for an upgrade for my use.
So thinking like a business is just finding loopholes in contracts. 😅
Great Video
The one surprise canon can do is releasing the next gen chip for R6III like releasing digic XX or digic XI or something. And will be a straight contenders for a7s3 and fx3 with 12mp sensors, or even 24mp sensors with 8k capabilities
No such thing as a 24MP camera with 8K video... not enough resolution. 6K is max for 24MP but more than enough anyway!
I wouldn't call it specs. It's a wishlist of a rumors website. I can't imagine canon is bringing out another r6 series camera soon.
Likely going to be another year before we actually see the camera, R6 MKII is simply too young and too good. Fully stacked sensor at the mid level body would be great, but I reckon that would likely increase price and eat into R5 MKII sales depending on the R6 MKIII performance.
Typical that this is revealed on a day I order r6II
Eye control would be perfect 😵💫
So this is how Dafydd looks like wearing a wig ( ua-cam.com/video/gfpsnT5BBgs/v-deo.html )
4:14 I’ve wondered for a while why don’t they have sensors in the footballs and possibly a grid in the field? Seems like simple enough tech.
Wait till game is held up because of firmware bug
Canon’s mirrorless line up probably has one of the worst segmentation
I was just thinking about buying the canon R6 mark II now the mark 3 will be out in December.
I don't like Sony's cameras...but I like their headphones
any rumours of Canon bringing back the M model Cameras, but with RF mount?
whats the r6iii for? It doesn't seem any better really than the r6ii. Just do a firmware update...
I imagine the R6 MKIII would be handicapped by it's buffer and will not have a CF Express slot.
If canon released an ‘R4’ with the c400 sensor and high end video specs to compete with the fx3 they would instantly be back in the race and potentially leap frog Sony in video. It’s astonishing that they outright refuse to compete with the most popular video Cameron on the planet.
I don't think Sony pays the nfl anything. But they give the tech for free, interms of the cost of the tech I would say 10milion
I pray for the Clog2 please 🙏
I would appreciate a full sized HDMI port.
Nothing is going to kill the R3, it does everything I need.
I'll keep the R6mII and buy an R5mII, instead of the R6mIII.
hey, JP, any rumors on an R&mkII ?
Sony needs to come out with the RX100 VIII.
A lot of people would love to see a RX10V
I got a Samyang 35mm 1.8 for 200$ for any Sony. Will canon ever do this?
It would make sense to align the R6 & R1 to be like the Z9/8.
Would also make sense to align the R3 with the R5ii for a high MP range.
R6 Miii the next FF camera I’m waiting for
Canon Rumours has been making their money/clicks for the past 3 years off rumours about the R5II and R1. Of COURSE the day after those cams were announced they went straight to the R6III rumours. They really have nothing else to keep their sites going. I got the R6II when it was released and it's easily the most underrated and under-talked-about cameras of the past couple years. It basically got no real press. Even the R8 got way more coverage.
We need R6c and R7c.
Solo espero una R7 mark ii con un decente battery grip 👏🏻
I’m waiting for the r69
HAWK - what?
This might make the R6mk2 cheaper 😊
We want the R7 II, not a R6 III
A R6 mk3 with those specs doesn't look real.
The R6III needs to have internal RAW video recording, especially if it wants to compete with the Z6III.
No it doesn’t. The Nikon doesn’t work with any RF lenses
I agreed. It is a waste without internal Raw. I kept my R5 and sold r6ii for z6iii. No more going back for me.
why would it need RAW internal? we've never shot RAW video once with any of our canon cameras.
@@froknowsphoto well, you're a photographer primarily, so that would make sense. The R6 is extremely popular as a hybrid camera. Many video shooters are frustrated with Canon pumping video features into the R5, which is overkill for the average shooter. I don't need 8K video, much less 8K raw. But since Nikon put 6K raw video into the Z6III, and Canon has internal raw video on the R3, if they're going to put it in a camera that competes in the same arena as the Z6III, they ought to include RAW video. It would solidify the R6III as the best hybrid camera for that price bracket, beating out Nikon and Sony's offerings in regards to video, and overcoming Panasonic in certain areas.
@@RoccoGermani Raw video is very useful for wedding. On receptions with mixed lightening it makes editing a lot easier. It makes no sense having internal Raw on R5 and not on R6 line. After over 3yrs of owning R5, I have not once recorded any video in 8k.
I wish if I could have one in this life.😢
Oh a Canon R6 MK 3 - settle my beating heart - less and less people care …..😵💫😵🤪
I mean, I feel like the R6ii just came out. Not sure why we'd get another version this early.
Z6iii came out and received good feedback
@@sammyj349don’t know about good, from what I’ve been reading it’s pretty mixed.
Well it’s in very popular market segment that moves very fast. They’ll always see faster incremental refreshes.
@@sammyj349 That's a different brand though?
My R6 is still good enough, so I'm in no rush to empty my bank account.
I wouldn't be surprised if Sony go for the official camera sponsorship with the 2028 Olympic Games... basically taking a page out of Canon's playbook.
They won't be able to, at olympics, photographers and press photographers uses brands they're used to. Thats why, all three major brands are present at olympics
no if C ask more money for the 6iii then there must be a bigger sensor aka 30 or 40 mb sensor and 40 fos... or why should I buy the iii for full price when i can have the 6ii under 1800?
Same reason you buy the R3 vs the R6ii. The stacked sensor.
R6 Mk3 - Will Canon put the *photo/video switch* where it actually belongs?!?!
Their company policy is to confuse us with that damn switch. 🤪
@@tz-pw6uv - It bothers me because the 5D Mk4 and 7D Mk2 had a really good photo/video switch, so there's no reason they can't do the same on the R5 Mk2 and R6 Mk3 - especially after so many people complained about the photo/video switch on the R6 Mk2.
Shit! More cameras?!
This seems like a click bait video
Have the Mark II, sold the R8, sold the Fuji Xt5 and tried the Xt50. Sold and now waiting for Mark III but keeping Mark II for studio video. BTW, I just subbed. I have a new channel I’m launching and would appreciate a follow! Can't create content if you don't start.

Got the R6M2 . Think the Sandisk 512 GB Express card in NL € 512,00 is to expensive for me😢
I never use higher capacity cards then 64gb. You don't need it. If the 512gb goes down the sink, then your 512gb data goes with it.
@@tz-pw6uv don’t really agree with this. It will purely depends what you’re doing. If your doing a lot of 4k recording then 64gb isn’t going to get you very far. 64gb get you around 2k photos well I can shoot upwards of 8k shots at a wedding and would rather not be swapping cards (which is when most problems happen) not to mention you’d have be to be very unlucky for dual card slots to go down if your utilising the back up features of the camera. Buy the cards that suit your needs.
I'll receive my R5 mkII soon and I feel your pain... the price of CF Express cards is shocking compared to SDs

Canon, I don't get it. One new body after another with minimal upgrades... Why not finally produce solid mid-range lenses for the broader masses instead of flooding the market with new bodies all the time?
So basically catching up to the Nikon Z6iii.
Bro they like to rush on releasing full frames while their apsc cams are staying back more and more from the race. I dont know if canon thinks a camera is just about full frame or some...R6 mk3 whyyy? The R6 mk2 is still fine but the R7 can get a mk2 AND WITH 1.5 CROP NOT 1.6, so froknow photo, tell it to canon.
What’s so funny about this is that the R6mk2 is canon best camera lol it’s stay being their best seller the price of the camera going up instead of down it went from 1999 to 2399 in less than a month after the R5mk2 was announced. It’s really a True HYBRID CAMERA . If they sell this it going to out sell the R5MK2
I have the R6 Mark II it is definitely not Canon's best camera.
I don't know if you read that on the internet, it certainly doesn't sound like it's coming from personal experience
I used it for 30 days straight in tokyo. If it was the best camera I would be agreeing with you here.
It's not. Take away the AF functions and some video specs I'd much rather use a 5D 3. R62 body is nice and cheap. Grrr. And a rattling of that Ibis unit around really feels good too.
Don't believe everything you read. Go and sort it out for yourself.
Der R5 Mark II bedient eine ganze andere Zielgruppe als die R6 Mark I und II. Aussagen welche besser ist, ist daher obsolet!
@@simonmaduxx6777 that’s your opinion but every camera canon has over heats in 4k60 at some point the r6mk2 doesn’t it have great images and great auto focus and it’s good in low light . It’s really don’t have any weaknesses and it’s at a great price point as well . But that’s your opinion
@@millerrd0725 I don't know about the video quality comment but I've tried HDR video and 120 FPS as well as 4K 60. 4K 60 does suffer from rolling shutter. It's very noticeable especially when you're filming at night and you can just see it being very hazy when you're panning.
Mine unfortunately isn't great with autofocus and has a bad habit of selecting the far eye for portraits. As well, navigating being in video mode while you're still ALSO in other modes is kind of tricky and unfortunate. For instance I had to settle on being in video mode but staying in shutter priority mode just so I could use the 120fps mode by setting the frame rate to such.
But my biggest beef with the camera is that the images really don't look that great in the daytime and they're very kind of soft and not that interesting especially if you come from a 5d3 or 5d4. However, at night time it can take some amazingly beautiful pictures and it's just kind of bizarre the difference between the two.
Also the body being much smaller and cheaper feeling, adapting my 70 to 200 EF 2.8 really didn't feel good at all even with a grip.. the body is definitely just cheaper made structurally wise then the r5.
Honestly I'm glad to get rid of it and I'm still pissed because I paid full price retail for it. And the only thing I've been considering for a year now is how to get rid of it.

Hi jared pls pin me
I am still rocking the Canon 70D which takes fantastic photos. And most importantly, it’s paid for! Why would I want to upgrade to an expensive setup only to see it “Obsolete”, in a few years? To me photography is an enjoyable hobby.
You can say the 70d is still great but a R6III will be obsolete in a few years. That makes no sense at all.
@@nickwilliams7867 Point being, once you drive that new car off the lot, its value drops by a third. The real question is what makes it obsolete compared to what? At least Canon wants you to think it’s obsolete and in need of replacement.
@@jroar123no one is saying any camera is 'obsolete' in this comparison. besides, it all depends on individual needs - to an action photographer, your 70D is most definitely 'obsolete' but to individuals like yourself it clearly isn't
@@CivilStig I’m happy with my camera however, I am trying to not fork out that much money for a new camera. After all I have a bunch of EF lenses (glass) that I might have to replace unless I use an adapter. So what’s my game plane? I guess the real question is how much do I want to spend on a hobby? What type of equipment do you have and how do you use it? Are you into video any? The best I can get from my 70D is 1080P. However, I can upscale to 4K using software.
