They could've made the burst fire into something more like the dragons breath from tf2 and turn it into something that actually resembles a flamethrower.
I'm happy to see others learning the joys of burning their fellow Planetmens to death, as I've been doing almost exclusively that since the little bow got the flame bolts. I...may be terrible, but the sizzle sizzle is what I live for.
I know your channel is small but I appreciate it so much you make those weapons review so quickly!! it lets me know if grinding these events are worth my time or not. I don't play PS2 much anymore but I am glad to see some people still make some content for it
Sure, but it has its own advantages, too. I tend to repeat myself and go over the same idea multiple times, which isn't great. Also, with no editing, there can be a lot of 'dead time' where I'm just not killing.
Normal 5 shot burst has little advantage: When shooting people with it (specially in head at close), they cant see crap, especially if they run anything higher than normal graphics. Coming from personal experience...
Recursion Stat Tracker. recursiontracker.com/ It's a third-party overlay that's verified okay to use by the devs, and allows you to track more stats, have 'achievements', and play sound files upon earning them.
A half decent loadout for this is Extended Mag + Scavanger, having 300 ammo loaded is quite good as its = 6 shots rather than 3 when you use the explosive mode. Scav then gives you 90 ammo straight into your gun without having to reload it which is nice as you are not nearly as connected to the hip with a Engineer, does require pistol kills but there are a few really good ones so not that much of a handicap. Burst fire mode IS quite strong but it requires those really specific fights where you can peek a corner and not have any enemies further than like 10m away, the spray is usually accurate enough then that you 2 tap most people and its not a terrible refire on it so they die fast. All that said, most other weapons would probably still be better so the flump-flump mode is what I think I will use 99% of the time.
@@yanlexi I kinda wish they could have somehow made it so the burst fire was maybe on the ADS button and the explosive shots on the normal "fire" button so it didnt take like 0.5 seconds or whatever to swap between them. The ADS on this thing is completely useless anyway.
Ohh i feel some complaints leading to nerf hammer in the immediate future... And folks saying its ptw wuthout looking at directives cos it's in a bundle too.. 😢 Flame throwers, Cool, Woo!
Helios I would say is much easier to use thanks to its splash damage and AoE, whereas Thumper has more overall sustain thanks to significantly more ammo.
@@sk8ershanQC Grenade mode will get you like 2 kills if you're lucky to have a 1vs1 situation and can actually land the hits. Then you'll be out of ammo, with no viable way to kill anyone else. It's not Overpowered you have no sense in your head.
@@ReinertZerker I've used it a lot, for door chock points it's op not talking 1v1. So instead of insulting me use it yourself you'll find out, I've been on crazy kill streaks and it requires 0 skills, just lob nades. I bet you it will get nerfed
@@sk8ershanQC Then it's a very situational gun, front line or nothing because I've had no luck with this gun even when I get the jump on others. The only way it even has a use is the grenade mode and without an engineer throwing ammo down it goes dry too fast. Even the grenade output in damage won't save you in most situations, so if you're getting kill streaks with this it's because it's a very situational type of weapon, nothing the thumper couldn't do better though.
The extended mag text is bugged, its 2x magazine
yeah i just found that out, mentioned in desc now
Don't think he's really botherd researching the gun 😂
Well, you don't really expected the description to be so monumentally wrong...

IIRC, the last time this idea was raised was denied to 'engine issues', but we now have the TR's flamethrower flash. Agreed with you, though.
For real, it's very disappointing. The spread is bad, the damage is bad, the ammo is bad, the speed is bad. So really it's a horrible gun.
@@ReinertZerker but its also strong enough to halt pushes when used correctly

Well, it's the benefits of doing reviews in one take, lol. Don't need to spend time scripting or editing.
@@yanlexi in all honesty scripting isn't needed to review ps2 weapons.
It just gives the video a better feel/polish

A new weapon to grind in Nason's tunnels.

Good to know, I've not been a victim of that yet.

how do you get the little overhead notifications? like double kill and killstreak

How do we switch to the secondary alt firing mode? I’m on pc ..looks like a fun weapon though
B is the default key.
wait, are u connery'an? i recognize your name Tsunbot.
Correct!
id make it spammable like minigun, with full auto and more accurate hip fire since it has a mediocre damage in 1st mode. and added an AV damage ofc.

I'd be cool with that, too, but I can't think of any weapon ingame that works that way..
@@yanlexi NSO directive shotgun but reverse!
how did i forget lmao
How do you unlock this
The 20-Year Legacy directive will unlock it for free, and after the event you can buy it for certs.

Good info mate, even more info in vid
Sorry, I talk fast lol
how the hell did you unlock it so fast
directive is piss easy. took me an hour, you could do it sub 30 under ideal conditions

cortium.
do cortium + vehicle kills + alert kills + transportation

no, the map looks dull as shit without it

It's ok. Not that good. So glad i didn't buy it. Even for 500 certs. I would have buyers remorse.

its good but not for heavy
I think as a secondary weapon via ASP, it'd be a nice tool to have.
