    TR rifle should have been semi-auto to add faction profile.
    With it's damage rating that low, it basically becomes a Dragoon that can also damage vehicles.

      Its basically a much worse Dragoon that can deal slight damage to vehicles. With stats as shown in this video it is a hard pass.

      or maybe give it 2 rounds in one chamber. that will sort things out to some extent. or maybe give it a 2m radius blast like that of lasher or banshee .

      Making it a semi-auto might be the way to go, of course you'd have to be very careful with the fire-rate but it might make it worthwhile.

    Regarding the server issues, I actually went through an apprenticeship in telecommunications and even though I was in the industry a short time what I found was that most of these companies (especially smaller games like PS2) don't actually have a networking tech on their team. They "contract" with a third party to help with networking once issues start happening. One big recent example is with Mortal Online 2, where they openly admitted they had been "consulting" with a networking expert but didn't have one actively on their team (they had server issues for a good 6+ months). Because these contracts can get expensive, most companies will just do a paid consultation with a networking tech looking for what they can do cheaply without having to contract with them. For me it was a bit annoying because the work became inconsistent due to the way the industry controls it.
    Now.. I was in telecommunications that is in regards to internet connectivity and doesn't necessarily have much to do with game design, but I imagine PS2 is in the same boat where.. they either would have to contract out with a third party to fix the issue and be locked into that contract for a certain period of time, or do paid consultations and try to implement fixes intermittently. PS2 being a smaller game I imagine they are going to try to avoid being locked into a networking contract for a year.
    To smaller gaming companies I imagine it's just not worthwhile to have a networking tech on retainer when server issues are fairly infrequent.

      While I agree that's most likely the case, it doesn't necessarily excuse them from copping some flak for it. They are still the sellers of the service and thus the responsibility falls on you to fix the issues - whether that be through a contractor or not. That's my opinion.

      @@CAMIKAZE78 They're not "technically" selling a service though, since PS2 is a free game not requiring any transaction to play. Any purchase is entirely voluntary. Yes the responsibility to fix issues still falls on them, they're the developer. I just don't like seeing how angry and, forgive me for saying entitled the player communities get when things like this happen. I already see enough of it over on Elder Scrolls: Online's forum. What you even mentioned in the video about how you wish they'd communicate to the players more about what they're doing, was parroting exactly what ESO's players are saying, but what's the point if they did? These processes can take a long time to figure out, you really want them to just keep giving you weekly updates saying the same exact thing? "We know it's broken, we're doing this but we still haven't fixed it yet."

      @@MikMoen Customers will vote with their wallets. I'm a paying customer: I've had a membership to PS2 for pretty much its entire existence and for the first time I am considering cancelling it (or at least putting it on hold). The server issues are game breaking and will kill the core player base if not resolved. So, yes the game is technically F2P and I - along with others - could move in that direction, but it would kill the game's cash flow which would be overall detrimental to the game and its dev staff. IT NEEDS TO MAKE MONEY TO SURVIVE and while these server issues are present, it has a much lower chance of making money. Fixing these issues needs to be the absolutely highest priority in the game at this time.

    I absolutely love the look of all the newer NC weapons, both the colors and models. Hopefully someday we will get updated models of the older weapons, or at least retextures or alternate, newer variants.

    Here's what I think should have happened, I made a couple concepts of faction specific anti material rifles a while ago. I can appreciate the devs putting more faction specific stuff out there, but
    NC gets a bigger version of the Railjack- comparative muzzle velocity and damage, but talking a far longer charge-up delay. Maybe half a second, with a 1.5s rechamber time. Rewards precision, timing and positioning, and terrible if you get caught with your pants down with it.
    TR gets a Barrett M107 kind of thing, semi automatic with a 10 round mag by default. Think semi auto sniper rifle damage model, but heftier recoil and worse handling characteristics. Something you can go toe to toe with DMRs and other long range weapons in a direct gunfight.
    VS gets either (what I called the Rigil Death Ray) a continuous hitscan laser thing similar to Apex Legends' Charge Rifle (where you have to track your target to do maximum damage), or plasma cannon that does splash damage over time and sets you on fire. Designed to be super annoying either way.
    I think the NSO one is perfectly balanced, but I have to admit that the NC one is clearly by far the best one to have as general purpose AMR. The TR and VS ones might kill MAX suits faster if you land headshots, but that's in a perfect scenario assuming you got a good angle, and they don't have 3 engineers on them.

    Hahaha! As an EVE Online player: the idea of the developer fixing glaring issues after a few weeks as opposed to, say, seven years (!) is incredible :D
    Just started playing PS2 again a couple of weeks ago: it's pretty fun. Way more fun than it was back at release when I couldn't manage to get decent framerates. It's also feels surprisingly active for such an old game-- nice to see a good game still going strong.

    So VS rifle not only has delay fire, it also has terrible muzzle velocity combined with 15m minimum dmg. Meanwhile the NC and NSO weapons have 50 and 40m minimum damage, more base damage, and also higher muzzle velocity. Big brained devs ayyy.

      VS is trash, as with Zealot overdrive, oh btw that nc amr can 1 shot a full hp vanu max with zeo on
      TR is trash
      NC: super duper damage leaving %10hp left, considering your teammates will be firing aswell, it means its gonna be always 1 shot kill against maxes, let alone ZEO vanu maxes
      NS: this is super broken remove it! 4s of repair blocking?? what the hell, might aswell remove maxes

      Lower projectile velocity is because VS has the no bullet drop perk, as seen in the video its very high impact when comparing how high above the heads he has to aim with all the others! /s
      And yeah this is a common thing with VS weapons, lower projectile velocity cuz no bullet drop. Even otherwise 100% identical copies of the other factions shotguns have lower velocity on the VS one.

    Maaaaaan I can't believe I'm about to say this as an NC main but these weapons honestly are the peak magnum opus of the skewed AF balancing in PlanetSide right now. NC gets a normal gun TR gets shafted and VS gets some weird side grade of an NS weapon, meanwhile the robots run around with the most overpowered thing the world has ever seen. The dev team kind of needs to rain this in also why did they even make these we have the archer and the shortbow I mean yes I do appreciate your work development team but did anyone actually ask for this.

      What? NC normal gun? Masthead is completly busted in its current form on the live server. Its going to kill any non-NC esf play immediatly. 2 People have the equivalent damage of a skyguard without its many downsides. And it functions as a 1hs-kill at a decent range as well. With any enemy airforce gone A2G farmers/liberators on nc are going to have all the uncontested airspace they could dream of in their wettest of dreams.

      @@pandaburger7209 Is it really supposed to do that much damage I figured it would just be shooting an Archer at ESFs for people who cant aim and in that case there's no way it would dominate over air power because people are too dumb to pull the Archer out now to shoot liberators. Kind of like how the ranger is a walker for people who can't aim.

      @@jflorez6484 im guessing so. It was like that on the test server, so yes. And yes, it is exactly like an archer for people who cant aim. The archer is very good at esf deterence. You just have to hit it. That is the problem though, hitting a esf thats not hovering/is flying evasive maneuvers with a sniper is very hard, even among experienced snipers as the hitbox isnt very big and the esf is flying very fast. The flak property increases that hitbox by a factor of about 25x. Imagine trying to hit a 1m x 1m thats moving irratically from 100 meters away. Quite hard right? Now imagine doing that on a 5x5 target. It goes from very hard to quite easy, every good shot will be able to pull that off reliably. 2 people can reliably kill an esf at 100% health (you usually are never full health, youll have damage from 1 lock on or a couple flak hits already)from first damage received to dead in about 5 seconds. This weapon is on the same level of broken for air as the newish lightassault crossbow was for infantry at release.

    for balancing tr archer, jst give them two rounds in one chamber . player needs to shoot two rounds before rechambering. this will fit the tr scenario well with bigger mags and higer rpm. for 375 damage model, it will take 3 headshots to take down a max . otherwise, it is too trash to use in comparison to all other 3 archers.

    NSO should be the only faction with Havoc rounds imo. It puts them apart from the other three that way and on top of that NSO is the only faction that can be on any team. Loving their Rifle, and cant wait to use it!

    as someone who drives tanks often I'm absolutely dreading these being added. with the archer buff I find myself being shot with them A LOT more often. they don't deal a lot of damage but when you're dueling someone getting hit with just 2 shots can be the difference between winning and losing

      Yeah in a way it actually allows you to be super agressive with the weapon since you aim after "firing".

      I adore the railjack. That, and the Advantix on the NSOs are my two favorite snipers because they're unique.
      I think delay fire works well on many weapons, but the benefits need to be in line with that huge downside. For the slicer, it doesn't look like that's the case. They gave it Sabot, which is NOT what AMRs are meant for. With the railjack, I've already gotten several kills with it's new Sabot and I haven't even played much during the server troubles of Connery. They're trying to justify the delay in a way that doesn't make sense this time

      Hated that mechanic on the Yumi too. Delay fire on a burst rifle like the Yumi is extra cancer. It does everything worse than the Lacerta. It demands you to - with the delay - land all 5 shots, 1 of which has to be a headshot to barely get a 1-burst-kill within... 10m. That's too high of a skill ceiling just to get similar effectiveness as the Lacerta.

    The tr one feels like releasing a bolt action sniper rifle for the inf that doesn't kill with one headshot but has a rechamber time of 0.8.
    At that point I'd rather just use a semi auto. It can fulfill neither a bolt action role nor a semi auto role. By focusing on faction flavors here they took away the whole point of the archer for 2 factions while boosting its strenghts for the other 2. I mean, they all have x6 scopes as minimum but only two of them can kill infantry at such distances. The other 2 can only kill consistently at x3.4 and x4 ranges
    The concept of the archer itself is nc-like by nature. Very slow firing but hard hitting. They're doubling down on that for the nc but for the vs and the tr they're making it less archer-like and taking away the fun

    As per usual, the devs come up with ways each factions weapon can be unique, but they never think about which unique traits are superior to others, and inevitably end up giving one faction (usually NC) a far superior option compared to the competitors.

    The DAGR is due for some buffs there, it just isn't fantastic as is it currently is. VS could due for one too. I feel the NC is fine, especially with the reload and rechamber time, but the Linecutter does not deserve to exist, at least not with that ammo. That ammo is, in my opinion, extremely busted and will make MAXes next to unplayable at any fight.

      Design was just terrible. Why give NC and NS unique stuff and for the TR and VS just giving a slightly different stat (worse ones) Archer. If Daybreak is going to create asimetric content, they should give it to all factions.

    The training rooms have a bug that on most parts of the walls part of the shot is blocked, you have to leave that training area to get the full shot threw. That's why you have an explosion right in front of you every time you fire right in front of you.

    la60 kills targets up to 140m, longest OHK range of these AMRs(including archer). no talk qbout flak rounds, overpowered but not sure if it will even get nerfed
    dagr is 2.7x HSM even with that it only kills up to 21m. with 6x scope at the very least
    slicer has 0.33 second chargeup, means 1.53 chamber time. kills up to 40m and has no bullet dropoff so its a point n click.
    linecutter with havoc is 1.55 chamber time and kills up to 60m(more than Shortbow), 4 second havoc goes through NC shields, not sure about the seraph shield for defectors.
    archer got nerfed of the ADS movement from 0.75 to 0.5.

      TR and VS have ESF weapons that farm ground targets from range. NC needs those flak rounds.

      If these behave anywhere near the Archer, they are all point n click.
      Any VS with some knowledge would happily see the no bullet drop 'perk' removed from the faction, even if there was nothing to replace it because it also comes with a general lower projectile velocity on weapons just to "make up" for the no bullet drop... its far easier aiming slightly above a target at long range than having to deal with lower projectile velocity and most weapons used at long range dont even have any bullet drop to speak of unless you are trying to snipe infantry at render range for some silly reason.

      @@MikMoen i'd agree NC needed a AA option, but not this stupidly long range, stupidly easy to use flak rounds with a stupidly high burst damage for what it is. it's gonna murder A2A to counter A2G, also will kill some A2G so least it has going for that.

      for VS yeah upsides isnt that great, TR and VS still goves to see who gets the shortest end of the stick

      @@theonlymann1485 Good. I'm tired of receiving constant Brrrt on the ground. A2A fights won't be affected barely at all. This rifle still has to take into account lead and bullet drop for range. It's not like we're the TR with magazine fed full auto soft lock rockets.

    They should have given the flak ability to the TR rifle, maybe increase magazine capacity by 2. With its faster rechamber time and larger magazine that would be more fitting and effective for coordinated fire (it's what we do). Make sure it has the muzzle velocity to make it count. NC's ability should be that it hits like a mac truck and pierces multiple soft targets due to their hard-hitting gauss tech. Sounds basic, but this would be terrifying to fight against in large fights. VS's ability should be an EMP type glowy round that not only are decent against ground vehicles but slows them down to make them easier targets for AT teams such as lancers. This would allow each faction's weapon to have a "flavor." TR rifle would allow for solid G2A AA squads. NC's rifle would perform best out of the 3 against infantry and would be a versatile farming tool. VS would be able to really up their anti-armor game, since they're always whining about how bad the swagrider and their only hope against the burger tank and the Abrams... Sorry... Vanguard, is C4 and lightnings.
    And 100% agree on testing. I've been playing since Nov 2013 and my biggest gripe is how the new stuff always breaks what's there. I love what's there. Most of us do. We've been battling it out over the same bases for years and are still going. The new stuff is just icing on the cake. So, take your time testing it, then give it to us in working condition.

    Ah yes, only the NC and nso have no significant drawbacks and a whole new feature added.
    Translation: NC needs the strongest rifles to give the newer players a chance, and a strong NSO weapon to keep vets happy, while VS and TR get screwed, again.
    Love DBG's bias.

    Having the NSO as the only faction who has a gun that fires Havoc rounds is just stupid to me. It's so op.
    The VS's gun is pretty terrible. Having a charge time on top of a rechamber time is so stupid. Not to mention the piecing effect is going to get a lot of faction on faction team kills.
    TR got shafted pretty hard. I mean why even use this when the Archer is just better?
    NC just got a straight up op gun.

    Ever since the last archer video, been running it a lot. Things to test would definitely be. heavy overshields prevent 1 shot headshots at any distance with the current archer, this might affect the new guns as well. Because nanoweave armor also affects sniper rifles, at some distances you can get guaranteed headshots either.
    there are some other cases where headshotting at close range hasnt given me a 1 shot kill as well but im not sure what those differences were

      Hitscan is a dangerous precedent to set in a game that is entirely based off projectiles.

    Dagr should be a 10 round, semi with an RPM of around 300 to 400, 325 MaxDamage up to 15M with a 275 MinDamage up to 300M with 6X being the highest magnification.

    I agree with you about the server issue. I regret buying my year membership because a couple days after they did the arsenal update and although I have enjoyed playing planetside again since back when it released, it's back to the same feeling as to why I left way back when. I kinda want a refund if they never fix it.

    This seems to be a pattern. NC gets something good ( Masthead , Trawler , Vanquisher ) VS gets stuff that's ok ( Slicer , Pariah , Lacerta } TR gets crap ( DAGR , Palisade , Arbalest )

      @@Splashygalaxy The spin up on the Palisade pretty much guarantees your target will get back into cover before you can kill it or do any real damage to it. I'm not saying the Pariah is any kind of prize but Palisade is worst in class imo.

      @@Splashygalaxy so like 90% of the place to battle. paliside is the most easiest gun to use yeah but circumstances that it shines dont happen much if the opponent has a functioning brain. Pariah aint that better, so VS and TR buth suck over NC's balance at this point.

      I would FUCKING love to use that bipod, get prone and blow some vanus heads. Its great for long range sniping except for that damage (i could consistently shot it from base to base with only one and a half dot. Its beutifull, but that damage is a pain in the ass.

    Giving the NSO havoc makes sense, give a good gun to a faction that balances fights out, the more that play NSO, the more equal fights will be. Havoc may be op, but nothing is more op than over population.

    Looking forward to the new AMRs and especially the new Gauss Rifle skin, since I've been playing with the Gauss Rifle a lot more since the arsenal update (comp + angled grip clicks heads) and just araxed it yesterday (also unlocked the Gauss Prime with that as well). Emerald has been having similar server issues lately as well :/

    Delayed fire is too much of a punishment for having no bullet drop on the Slicer. Yes, this class of weapon benefits the most or second most from that trait, but the VS players already paid the price for that trait in bullet velocity in other weapons. The Slicer already paid the price in bullet velocity and has to pay further with this mechanic, too. It will do even worse than the stock Archer for deterring MAXes and Harassers - the latter of which requires quick response that the Slicer doesn't bring to the table.

      Think the slicer also has a very wide projectile too. Been able to hit stuff a little towards the side of the crosshair. But yeah, with that chargeup, I would expect it to be close to the Railjack in terms of usability.

      fun fact: with the ammo slot havign option to buff +20% velocity, it comes to second fastest bullet velocity out of the amr present on pts, so no velocity isnt much of a downside. it does nuter 20% hipfire accruacy though, but if you want that top tier velocity you'd be zoomin on targets there hipfire doesnt matter anyway.

      no it fucking isnt. 5 hits to kill an esf with flak detonation and more than double velocity of the striker is just broken. you will not be seing a lot of tr and vs air. Lots of new pilots cry about the lancer. And while very good against new pilots, its kind of garbage against more experienced pilots because its precision weapon and therefor not too hard to dodge but neverless was a deterent. The masthead really doesnt give a fuck about if youre a newb or a pro. Same velocity as the striker but all you have to do is hit the general direction of the esf. 2 noobs can just keep the entire airspace over a battle free. no need for vehicles, infantry will do it better.

    The way I'm seeing this is that they came up with some interesting concepts for the Anti-Material Rifles, but obviously since only 2 stand out out of 4, they should start looking into how to rebalance those ideas to work with ALL of the weapons. I think it would be interesting to see a similar situation to crossbow bolts....baseline 'no attachments' has the most direct damage stats, while having multiple ammunition slot attachments that maybe 'reduce' the direct damage capability, but introduce other flavors of attack. Specifically, at least Flak and Havoc...but maybe they could come up with a third.
    As for the skins for the weapons...I'll only be able to care about skinned primary weapons after I've gotten the ridiculous 6k+ kills necessary for getting arax'd weapons....so unless they implement "skinned weapons apply kills also to the origination weapon" then I'm not likely to touch the set except 'maybe' for the 6 month xp. Seriously an annoying grind...great for people that have already played for ridiculous time periods...completely insane for newer players (and by newer I mean anyone that isn't already near level 100+100).

    While I Don't like Infiltrators becoming obsolete, by losing their sniping role. It is nice that NC is finally getting a weapon that can Deterrence ESF without requiring a lock on or guidance. VS have a Lancer, TR has a T2 Striker.

      NC have just gotten the best infantry anti air weapon in the game. Its completly busted. You do not need skyguards. 2 people with mastheads do about the same damage as a skyguard IF it hits all its shots (which it nearly never does) AND has a higher muzzle velocity, so even less time to reach the target, making aiming easier (nevermind playing around a skyguard is absolutly possible without dying, doing the same to every infantrist which you mostly cannot see/can instantly jump behind cover/can just respawn with no cost whatsoever is impossible). the masthead has a 1-headshot-kills range which will cover most bases and does decent damage to vehicles. Its just... broken. If they dont fix it asap airplay is dead. with air dead non zerg vehicles have a MUCH easier time bombing the shit out of infantry, never mind nc air having a renaissance with uncontested airspace as dogfighting will become impossible for anything not nc.

    I will say the player damage with the dager has been lackluster, the relatively lazer like trajectory, and rate of fire compared to the archer has made it incredibly easy to put a large amount of rounds on Target at range, knocking out vehicles especially aircraft.

    On the TR rifle, the past solution they have gone with for weapons with too low to be worth it damage profiles has been to eliminate the damage fall off for the TR.
    Looking at the arbalist, this kinda fell flat.
    Probably, we need aggressive enough volume of fire that it actually has some volume of fire instead for the idea to hold together.... And even then I have to say with the new AMR's they come off as excessively redundant.

    If you haven't already, I'd like to see a video on how power knives are completely useless now after the Arsenal update. Maybe it'd gain a bit more attention on how they completely killed a playstyle many players found enjoyable.

      If you aim while using power knives they are just as good as before, the nerf is to stop people from running into a group of 20 and just closing their eyes while flailing their stubby little arms around and being rewarded with tons of kills for it.

      @@TheHuffur Just as good as before? I've seen no one using power knives since the update. Haven't been killed by one a single time since the update. It's impossible for people having lag issues (which, with the state of the servers is quite a few) to get only head shots consistently with knives. Don't get mad at me for stating the opinion of quite a few players just because you're mad about being so bad that you lose to a knife in a gunfight.

      I rarely see anyone using power knives, now or before the update which makes perfect sense since its a niche/meme weapon.
      Server issues are bad for any online game but is it not just Connery having the problems? Sucks for them and I hope it can get fixed yesterday but there are a few other servers with people that do not have to deal with that problem.
      As for dying to power knives, well I dont think I have died to one since the patch but its not like I remember when I died to a power knife before it either but it was probably Haudabot who did it, saw him running around with the Firebug a night or two ago too. Personally I think power knives did not need to get nerfed but I dont really care either way since you can still 1 hit kill with them if you bonk someone in the head with them which is a large part of the screen when you are close enough to use a knife, or swing twice, still has very short TTK either way but just running at someone is less likely to actually get you kills... Though Haudabot does it so idk.

I could type out a whole list of reasons of why the change was bad, how it could've been done better, experiences and examples, list a bunch of technical problems the game has which makes the argument "oh just get a headshot with it" laughable (its a knife, not a gun, they don't work the same), but what would be the point of typing all that out when what you are really interested in is just going on the internet and insulting people you have different viewpoints with? So no point wasting my time typing information on the subject, or further replies, to feed a troll.

    TR player here:
    I really think they should make the DAGR-81 a Bolt action but with especial amunittion, especialiced in destroying maxes and better damage to tanks, or an antiinfantry especialiced ammo, that has fire in it and better damage, but less ammo por mag or slower reload Time. The bipod could be a gimick too. If hoy crouch and stay quiet for 3-4 seconds it eliminates sway until you fire it or move.

    I fully agree with your point about server issues (I feel lucky playing on Miller, sorry you have to experience those issues). It is all about testing before releasing. At least, coming from playing GTAV almost a decade (started PS2 2 years ago) and its total lack of testing and other issues, I impressed what DBG team manages to do with not much.
    As for the new guns, I play TR and NSO. The first has a gun that with a x2 or x4 would have been a trade off for my Shortbow. The second has indeed an interesting ammo that should apply to anything not made of human flesh! That would imply a little change To how NSO characters are healed. I know it won't happen, I'm just joking at this point. In theory, it would have increased the lore factor of the NSO.

    Having played with the NE36 Line Cutter on live, it has an infuriating quirk in that it cannot one shot within max damage if the target has the Auxiliary Shield.

    I'm running MTR while playing on Connery and I can see the network ping go wonky (>200% increase) and packet loss explodes (>90%) when it enters, travels through, and exits Tweleve99 (aka Arelion). When I experience game lag I can simply glance at my other monitor and see this happening live. Now, to be fair, the lag on entry could be an over saturated node on my ISP's network. The lag on exit could be an over saturated node at the datacentre. However, when I'm not routed through that carrier I see no network lag. For example, when playing on Emerald I am routed through a different carrier and experience "normal lag" (I can't say there's no lag, but 1,000 ping). This seems to be a shared observation for a lot of us who have left Connery in favor of Emerald. Anyone from Europe who was playing in 2019/20 will remember Telia and the lag issues back then. Arelion was formerly known as Telia. I've shared this data with Daybreak as well as with my ISP. Server lag seems to follow network lag (Perhaps not a correlation, but the observation is that I don't see any server lag when there is no network lag). The server has been playable for about a week now with some moderate issues depending on routing. I'm hoping to put together a video and splice the MTR into game play footage during primetime this weekend. My hope is that this will help highlight the issue. The solution requires data from the end user to align with data from Daybreak. Arelion is refusing to base policy on a one way traceroute - which I think is fair. As I said, it could be my ISP or the datacentre, but if you can map it both ways you can get a clearer picture of where the bottleneck is. My guess is that Daybreak is going to add some tracerouting to the client side (on spawn?) to help gather that evidence. Of course, we're all going to have to contact our ISP's as well and let them know we're experiencing this issue. This way, if it does turn out that Arelion is the problem, our ISP's could de-prioritize routing traffic into Arelion networks (maybe just UDP traffic). Less traffic, less money.

I was really considering membership a few months ago but start playing for half an hour an then getting a disconnet/latency/g15 is simply disappointing to the point of not spending time on the game anymore....

    I dropped my subscription because of it and will not pay another cent untill its fixed. But like god damn, roll back the damn server and client updates by 3 months to fix the issue and then figure it out. Thats a standard in IT. When you roll something forward in to production and it breaks and you can fix it with-in a day or two, you roll back!

    We're having same issues in Emerald (lag, G12 and G15) but I'm guessing it's all the same server? I have theory... could it be the server is having issues especially with lag because of some the glitching going on? I saw UA-cam video that shows how someone gets an advantage over another player by simply unplugging their Ethernet. They could also program a micro key to make it easier instead of physically removing the plug and inserting it back.

    Sucks to hear the server issues are ongoing. I'd like to come back to Auraxis for a bit but think I'll wait till they're resolved. Seems odd to me that the developers wouldn't be jumping on this as fast as possible to conserve the momentum they were building with the new features. Even if they can't fix it overnight, keeping the playerbase informed and showing that they are working on it as best they can would do a lot to keep at least some wind in their sails and minimize bad feelings.

    Isn't the NC using gauss tech which is electro magnetic? Like piercing through multiple vehicles would be better than flak since TR is more traditional to bullets and explosives

    Netcone on Cobalt is really, really weird and I think we have it "easiest" out of most servers. It seems some bullet hits sometimes just fail to resolve, people killed end up on the ground 4-5 meters away, even given the peeker advantage a guy can cross entire corner, hs you and you didn't even see him crossing. It seems even if the average ping lists as ~30 it actually fees like 300.

    The delay fire on the Vanu weapon is like the Yumi. I hate it. As usual the NC get the better end of the deal. No surprise.
    The server issues are a nightmare. I left Connery only to see the same issues on Emerald with G15 login where I can’t get in at all. Damned either way.

    NS Linecutter is the most disappointing imo. I want an Archer variant for vehicles/aircrafts not maxes. Archers and Shortbows already work great on maxes, why would I want to focus even more on maxes.. I'd rather have any other gimmick than havoc on maxes. In addition to adding even longer rechamber crippling your already slow gun, that's one attachment I'll never touch.

    EMERALD had c15 errors last night. I could log onto Connery buy not emerald. 45 mins later I got on but performance was so irratic I couldn't really play. Gah....

    I really think these redesign skins for the older weapons should apply for the base appearance entirely. Not only the ones from this bundle but the planetside arena and the SE skins as well. I think the game has a problem of all weapons of a faction looking mostly the same, but with slight variations of the same model (there are no bullpup guns or belt fed lmgs, for example. Most of the reload animations are the same inside a faction and only the length changes and even the shotguns have the same design of the carbines). Giving different weapons more unique designs that tell more about their playstyle and personality would be super good for the game aesthetics and gunplay.
    That said, i get that they need the money to keep the game running and skins are an important part of the income so i guess that's a something we have to grant to the devs

      If they ever made the Pulsar VS1 into that abomination and made us use those horrible scopes, I would cry. It looks cool, but it's much harder to aim with.

    NGL I cut my play time down to basically 2 hours a week max since the lag issues became an issue because its just too painful to play atm

    Nothing unusual, just TR got a DMR that kills in the head with 1 shot, do not forget to write about which NC is unbalanced due to the fact that they received a gun that destroys air equipment at the same speed as a striker

    To me AM Rifles should've been modeled on the Lancer. Infantry facing vehicles want big-damage infrequent-shot weapons unless their weapons are just unreasonably high DPS (and they aren't; and probably can't/shouldn't be). So even the Archer should've been designed with a dramatically longer rechamber but much higher damage.
    Additionally, they should try fixing the crosshair twitch during rechamber. It always felt unnatural for the Archer, and is even worse when viewing these new rifles _without_ rechamber sound effects (I seriously thought you were rapid-firing the NC one at first and just missing a bunch of shots due to how the weapon bobbed around).
    Anyway, in terms of "sustained fire infantry AV being bad", the new TR and VS guns seem super bad even compared with the mediocre Archer, because they gain almost irrelevant burst DPS advantage at the cost of being forced even more to just stand in front of enemy vehicles while taking shots. Yes, it's less of a factor for longer ranged shots, but at those ranges these weapons feel even more irrelevant in terms of damage output (though probably the TR's damage profile stretching the max range _does_ improve things somewhat at the ranges these guns are often used at).
    The "sustained fire" model is also bad for using these weapons against MAXes (when you could just Deci them instead and immediately be behind cover again).
    I'm not saying infantry shouldn't have counters to MAXes. If anything I'd love if they fixed the ridiculously extreme counters (C4, OSes) and removed the cost to MAXes, in exchange for having a more rock/paper/scissors system for countering MAXes where you just want a nice even 33/33/33% mix of players being MAXes, having anti-MAX weapons (which should let the infantry win consistently in a stand-up fight! This is a huge change from the current gameplay!), and having regular guns (which would consistently win against the anti-MAX infantry, but lose to MAXes). The "TF2 model" has always seemed better, it's just people are so invested now in PS2's crappy model that it's hard to see them ever improving things. Sad, really.

    Emerald's G15 fix fixed the G15s for the most part, but now the lag is spiking really badly
    Edit: I feel like the server issues come down to :piss the community off because of not knowing where the issue is, or roll back the arsenal update thereby pissing off the community that's gotten used to it. It's a shitty situation, made worse by shitty players who refuse to submit their info when they have issues because "its not their job" (literally have seen multiple players use this argument). I understand the frustration, I pay for membership myself, and emerald has recently started to really shit the bed. But the devs are passionate about the game, and from what little I do know about server issues like these, is theyre a bitch to track down, made worse by old ass servers that probably don't have nearly the amount of logging and tracking that newer servers have. Idk if they've done much to modernize the server infrastructure, but the game is 10+ years old, so the servers aren't gonna be world class. I just hope they can fix them, and I try to play whenever I feel like it, and If I get pissed because of crashes, lag, or G15s, I go play something else, or do something else. Touch grass (literally, not meant as an insult. I know video games are fun and relaxing, but disconnecting on occasion is healthy)
