This is by far ONE of the BEST drone videos of Bora Bora I've seen. I've been there twice, and I watch for new videos as they get posted. Thanks for Sharing.
Perfect, i have been several times between 1985 and 2011 on BB and it changed a lot. But you forgot motu tapu, motu ahuna and the motus between the airport an the pearl beach. A reason to film part II.
Right. We're leaving for BB in a few hours. Some of those motus are off limits for drones however(airport no fly zone). But i am still going to fly everyday no matter what.
Great video! What’s the best way to get shots like this and be safe from hotel staff saying something to you? I was really disappointed to find out a lot of resorts don’t allow drones :’(
With so much footage, you could have done something more cinematic and shorter....but thanks to your work, we have a precise idea of what the french polynesia lagoons look like.
Johann Larreinegabe Schindling no, but you'd be quickly approached by hotel personnel and asked to fly only over water and not over people and buildings.
Johann Larreinegabe Schindling of course, if your drone is flying miles away from you, they'd be unable to issue advice as i happened to find but still take care.
The Four seasons hotel is directly beneath the glide path of incoming planes. Do not fly there under ANY circumstances. The Saint Regis is close and you MUST be VERY careful. All others are safe if you fly in the vicinity of the hotel. The hotel staff will ask you to fly away from people - take that advice. Some hotels will tell you it is forbidden so try to film the most on your very first try. In the manland hotels you can fly everyday, all day, as much as you like(i left my drone at the reception a few times to store it).
I thought St. Regis and Meridien, are located in the 'no fly zone' as they are close to the airport. Violator is punishable with one year in jail and 75000€ in fine.
What no-fly zone? The airport is 7+ km. away - most drones are software limited to 4km. distance from airports. I did have 2 hotel employees asking me to fly away from the people which of course I did.

What drone have you used?
Is there any restriction for drone? Recreational use only. I plan my honeymoon holiday in Bora Bora.
